I grew up in Portland and live there now with my husband and two daughters where we both work in design. We frequently visit the gorge and Mosier to visit my brother and his family and to enjoy the beauty and activities of the area including, biking, hiking, paddle boarding and exploring. We use the home ourselves and are excited to share it with you.

Why they chose this property

I had my eye on this house and its mate next door for years as they fell into neglect. They were built in 1915 and they are a part of the historic fabric of Mosier. When they came on the market, I was excited for the opportunity to bring back their dignity and charm. My brother lives very close by and is a contractor who specializes in restoring old homes which, of course, was key to the remodel.

What makes this property unique

Sitting on the front porch lets one take in the immense landscape of the Columbia River Gorge and, at the same time, slow pace of a small town. The house has a great feel, a wonderful place to relax. Restoring and renovating the house was a labor of love and has served as a place for my creative energies including the making installing of the tile, the garden/patio and some artwork and furnishings.
