We arrived on a Friday evening to a quiet cabin. It backs up to a little babbling creek behind a screened in porch. Saturday we spent the day going to Broke Leg Falls which is beautiful and a short hike. We then drove around Cave Run Lake looking at the sites. We went back to the quietness of the cabin and enjoyed the afternoon. Dinner time came we took a 25 minute Drive to Morehead Kentucky and grabbed something to eat. Upon arriving Friday the host told me about Thunder over Big Woods (FIREWORKS) happening Saturday night of our stay. We went and pulled up to a spot on the side of the road and watched some awesome fireworks. Sunday we got up early I called the host like requested for check out. Over all we had a great stay.
This location was nice and secluded, along with being clean and tidy! It was just what my spouse and I needed for a quiet getaway while also enjoying local festivals.
Check in was a breeze, owners are welcoming and available if needed.
Definitely will be looking to book again soon!
We had everything we needed at this cabin. It was clean and quiet and check in was easy. Communication was good and we had a great stay! Would stay again.
Host was extremely welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect. Absolutely loved being able to get away from the city life and just relax. Close to Daniel Boone Forest which was a huge bonus for us. Definitely on our list of places to return
The cabin itself was absolutely adorable, but our favorite part was the back deck! The screened in portion made it so we could spend time outside, even though it rained for most of our stay.
We loved staying here. The screened in porch was perfect for sitting out and watching the lightning bugs. There were cows and wild turkeys (both with babies!). The hosts Jeffrey and Angela were both very kind. We drove into Red River Gorge and loved coming home to a relaxing stay. away from people. We would love to stay again.
Our time at the cabin was quiet and peaceful. The porch by the creek was a great place to eat meals and play games. Close to many interesting sites to see and explore. Hope to return in the future.
This is such a great little cabin. We loved sitting on the back deck listening to the creek and watching for wildlife. The screened in porch was amazing for eating. Jeff and Angela are great.
The cabin worked out perfect for our trip. We were looking for a spot with easy access to Red River Gorge and the Cave Run Lake area for hiking and this was a great spot for that. It was a little cold on our trip so didn't really use the outdoor space (deck and screened in area that overlooks the creek), but would love that in a bit nicer weather! Very accommodating and nice cabin!
Second time at this property and we will return, If your looking for peace and quiet, a chance to escape the world this is perfect. Then firepit by the creek and the porch are perfect. Not big but more than enough room for a small group and minutes from Longbow ramps and marina. beautiful place to get away!
The cabin was clean and very charming. Sitting in the back listening to the babbling of the water was very relaxing. It was perfect for a short stay to visit the area. If we were staying in colder weather where we would be indoors more, the couch was not very comfortable. Other than that, it was a very nice place.
We enjoyed our stay here! This is a nice little secluded clean cabin that offers a lot of peace and relaxation. The cabin deck overlooks the creek, allowing for a nice little spot for morning coffee. Our dogs loved the place and playing in the creek! It was nice to have the windows open and listen to the outdoors. Driving distance close enough to visit Red River Gorge daily. We would recommend this place, as well as consider coming back in the future!!!
My husband and I wanted to get away for a long weekend with our little dog to just relax and celebrate my husband’s semi retirement. This was a perfect getaway. It was nice and quiet and we enjoyed watching the farm animals and wildlife. We could hear the creek running behind the cabin. Angela is a great host. We would recommend this cabin.
Thank you for such a peaceful getaway.
Beautiful property... coffee in the screen in roon while watching the kids play in the creek while watching the cows graze in the beautiful pastures. Its located within a "country" mile of everything!
WE HOPE TO BE BACK SOON!
Thank you!
