Amazing sea views over Mounts Bay and out to the Lizard
This is the 21st century's answer to the seaside holiday home: The Bowjey is reminiscent of Miami Beach style deco, gleaming in its whiteness and perched high on the hillside above Newlyn Harbour. The interior is a mix of cool concrete, dazzling chrome and large glass windows. The house has been finished to a high standard and the overall feel is swishy modern, with high ceilings, a split level and solid white oak floors. Upside down, you enter through the top floor into a white-walled and spacious open plan living room with comfy sofas to melt into at the end of day. The dining space seats up to 6 people and all table and cookware is provided, including a picnic set for visits to the many beaches just a short drive away. The Bowjey offers a driveway for your car and any day guests with whom you may choose to share your holiday experience. The property has wireless broadband for you to keep in touch with family, friends or work if necessary. The views of Mounts Bay and beyond are quite simply spell binding. Whatever the weather or time of day there is always something inspiring to watch. A vast five meter retractable window brings the outdoors in and literally places you in the view. If that’s not enough, the glass fronted balcony is the perfect place from which to gaze on sky and sea or observe the comings and goings of the fisherman and their many vessels.
One can chase the sun throughout the day by making use of the two separate east and west facing patio areas. We make every effort to ensure your perfect relaxation. If you have any special requests, please don't hesitate to contact us. This house breathes sophistication, contemporary design. All this without losing sight of what it’s all about, a traditional seaside holiday within spitting distance of the rugged cliffs and pristine beaches of Cornwall’s magnificent coastline. The Bowjey is perfectly situated with nearby amenities within walking distance. Newlyn itself has a supermarket, green grocers, butchers, bakery, chemist, restaurants and pubs. There are numerous fish shops, the best daily made ice cream in Cornwall and a fabulous art house cinema with restaurant.

The owners were the icing on the cake with our break in Cornwall! So helpful and pleasant to chat to and full of extremely useful tips and info.
The house has one of the best views in Cornwall, surely. Newlyn is quieter than many other towns and is still very much a fishing village, which suited us perfectly as we were unsure about going away during the pandemic and appreciated the quieter atmosphere.
The house was perfect for our family of 4, plus my sister in law. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and the pizza oven in the garden was great fun, the kids (and us!) absolutely loved making pizzas and had great success! The garden is beautiful to sit in: big comfy sofa and large table to dine at.
We walked into Mousehole several times which was easy (the house is up a hugely steep hill though so some fitness required!) and we popped down to Newlyn frequently for beautiful ice cream from Jelberts, a sit on the sea front, or dinner at the very excellent Tolcarne Inn.
We drove to St Ives a few times to eat and swim (with seals, as it turned out!), did lots of walks around the coast (Gurnards Head especially memorable) and we popped into the Tremeneere Gardens, all of which were great.
We would definitely book the house again; we came away feeling relaxed and like we’d had a true holiday. Thank you, Natasha and Adam, for sharing your home.

Thank you for such a lovely review. You were fantastic guests please come again. Sounds like you had a brilliant time and took full advantage of the great things and places this part of Cornwall has to offer.
An open plan and modern house with a sweeping view over mounts bay, equipped with everything you need for a memorable family holiday in Cornwall. A nice little garden with BBQ facilities and a pizza oven, perfect for Al fresco dining in warm summer days.
Note we were led by GPS to approach the house via Bowjey hill on arrival, and my car stalled a couple of times on climbing steep bends. A much gentler route is via Chywoone Hill and Chywoone Ave.
Just finished a really enjoyable fortnight in Bowjey Studio. Well equipped home with a fabulous view of Mount's Bay. Who knew a harbour could be so fascinating! Loved the place

Fantastic Veiw the hills are very steep, lots of walks
House fanatic views ,
One on the bedrooms a little small as it was changed round should have been the double bed in the Kids Bedroom instead,
One of the sofas was broken so couldn’t seat 6 of us in the evening,
Outdoor lighting wasn’t working,
Missing the DVD player would have been good for the kids and needed a bigger 📺!!!
Very nosey when you are sleeping downstairs if people are upstairs!!!

A fabulous holiday!
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this lovely house, the owner was there to let us in and sent us a really useful info pack before we arrived with loads of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do! The living room/kitchen space is huge and modern with the most amazing view at all times of day and in all weather. Bedrooms were large and clean, loved the super king bed!! The garden is on two levels, again with great views. Its up a gigantic hill, so can be hard work getting up and down that both on foot and in the car but it didn't stop us doing anything... and thats the price you pay for those views! Overall we LOVED it and were very sad to leave, it was a great base for exploring Cornwall! Thank you!!

Fabulous View
The property was generally as described and a very pleasant place to stay, with ever changing views. However, the access is very steep and my car bottomed out in a couple of places on the drive. We had to use street parking nearby to avoid this. Also the Sky TV package detailed in the advert was missing, which was disappointing.
