We had a great stay, nice property, communication was easy. Listing should be updated to reflect property name (which was kinda confusing) and to communicate no outdoor fire. We had a fantastic time and loved the property, clean comfortable beds and furniture. Thank you !
Location, cleanliness, space, utilities, all and everything were perfect. Highly recommend staying. Will be staying next time we’re back in the location!!
Thank you. Very nice property. Clean and really nice. Recommend for family stays. We were there for JMU graduation. This is a great option.

Great home, great location
We stayed with our 4 young kids and it was perfect for us. Kids have their own space to chill or play downstairs. Location was perfect with all Massanutten activities within a minute or 2 drive. We will be returning again.
We loved staying here for New Years. The house is roomy, everyone from our family could find a favorite spot to relax and to enjoy. The kids were very happy about the arcade game consule :)The driveway gives you a fright at first but is no problem at all. Kitchen has everything you will need.We loved looking at all the squirrels outside while enjoying our morning coffee
This location has so, so much potential. The location was wonderful and the owner was quick to respond to my text messages. The home was very cozy, too. But sadly the house smelled like cigarette smoke, the fireplace was broken, the tv/remote didnt work, the pillowcases were dirty, etc., and because of these things, I wouldn’t recommend this location.
The house was amazing and a great size for our family of 6. We had an amazing time and the manager allowed us an early check in to meet our needs. No issues with any instructions. The whole process was smooth. The only downfall was the driveway is super steep. In the winter, this may be a problem.
Property and home were beautiful. Quiet location. Home had all needed although would have been nice to have more than one set of towels per bathroom. Lots of space and very clean. Games and air hockey table were great. Property manager very responsive. Will stay again!
The location is great. Driveway posed difficulties as it is so very steep. Had to park at top of driveway which was a long way down.

Hi Kathleen, we're glad you enjoyed the location but we're sorry you had trouble with parking. Mountain homes come with great views but mountain roads and driveways are often steep. The listing does state that there are two parking spots available at the top of the driveway and two in front of the house, but we are sorry if this caught you off guard. The homeowner strives for five-star reviews and we're confident they'll continue to provide them moving forward!
This rental was perfect for us and our 4 children (10, 9, 4, 3). Great space downstairs for them to play and have their own space. The home is fully equipped with all that you need. We were pleasantly surprised. And the location to all the activities around Massanutten was perfect. Thanks for providing a great rental. We will be back.
Came to see the area for potential move. Property itself was sufficient. Could use a good deep clean. Not 100% accurate with check in or check out instructions but nothing too frustrating. Safe feeling and quiet neighborhood.

This place rules
Hands down the best spot we have stayed at yet. We go to Massanutten every year and this place was incredible. It met all our expectations and more. The house was very clean and very cozy. It had the cabin feel that everyone wants when they're in the mountains. The beds were very comfortable and new. We had 3 families with us, and it was more than enough room. The house is equipped with a-lot of games and a very cool pac man arcade up in the loft for the kids. (This was a huge hit) It also comes with air hockey table in the basement, and many more fun activities. This place is very close to all the Massanutten activities, which is very convenient. The kitchen has every thing you need and more. We will be back next year for sure, no need to explore any other places this is exactly what we were looking for.

Beautiful and Peaceful
This property and home is beautiful and quiet and close to everything on the resort plus other things in the surrounding area. The home has lots of space and we had everything we needed although it would have been nice to have more than one set of towels in each bathroom. We had looked forward to using the stove in the cooler evenings but the propane tank connected to it was taken away the day we arrived so wasn't able to use it. The home and property was very clean and being surrounded by the woods was beautiful. We will definitely stay again.
The cabin was very nice, drive way was a little steep, didn’t see a fire pit outside as shown in the pictures, no futon/small couch upstairs in the loft. According to checkout rules trash has to be taken to a dumpster 8 minutes away which is kind of inconvenient especially after paying a cleaning fee. Overall it was a pretty cabin and we enjoyed our stay other than the trash situation and not exactly as advertised. Would stay again.

The bathroom and unable to get rid of trash. Kitchen sink clogged.
All of the bathroom liners was dirty and gross. They all needed to be replaced. The kitchen sink was clogged upon arrival and there was was no where to get rid of the trash. I called the Guest contact and he stated he was going to take care of the problem but never showed up. Till this date 4/10 still waiting to hear from evolve.
My friends and I booked the cabin for a weekend getaway, a little vacation before the holidays. As soon as we opened the door, we were in awe of how beautiful the cabin was. There was plenty of space for everyone, including sleeping and lounging spaces. We also loved that there were plenty of bathrooms for us all, so no one had to fight for a shower or to use the toilet. The only caveat there--it seemed that the hot water got significantly colder if people were showering at the same time, not a big deal but something to keep in mind!
Our group ate most of our meals at the cabin, so we loved having a fully equipped kitchen. The location of the property was also ideal, plenty of things to do/see within driving distance. And the property was very well insulated, we were never too hot or cold during our stay, it was perfect! It was a little weird that we had to make our own beds upon arrival and strip them upon leaving, but we didn't mind. The host was very communicative and flexible when we had questions/requests.
Overall, we would definitely stay again and would highly recommend! Our little group is planning to make this an annual tradition and we hope to book the Owl Lodge again!

Great place, but unfortunately won’t rent again
The house was so cute! The things that made me not give 5 stars were the bed sheets- majority of them had evident stains and were dingy looking. The listing also had a couch on the top floor (wasn’t there) and the fire pit… doesn’t exist on the property and we were really looking forward to using it. Lastly, the kitchen sink had a leak and management was very quick and resolved it! But Lee, our contact who was very responsive, told me to empty the over flowed water bucket and somehow walk it through the house without making a mess? For the price I paid I wouldn’t rent here again to one, ask the guest to fix a maintenance issue that wasn’t our fault?? And two, not have all the amenities listed in the pictures and description.
Owl’s Lodge is a gorgeous home filled with unique items. Everything was clean and waiting for our arrival via a code on the lockbox. At first sight the steep driveway scared us but with a few trips we had adjusted. I loved climbing the 41 steps up the stairs as part of my exercise. This was my first time using VRBO and was pleased with the experience. I don’t know if the sleeping arrangements suited us due to the third bedroom being a kid room. That was my error for not noticing. The loft/bath combo upstairs went unused. The lighting was bad for puzzle building but there were tons of puzzles there so someone must have been successful. The kitchen had tons of pots and pans but many had seen better days and could be updated. And three mismatched wine glasses did not match our needs. All that said, it was a very nice stay and I would recommend the house to families.

Hi Linda, The owner wanted to pass this along: We are so glad you overcame the fear of the hill! It is a doozy, but totally worth the effort. I am sorry you found a few inconveniences. We really strive to meet as many needs as possible, and we are glad you informed us of some things that needed attention. We will get right on them to make sure everything is in the best order it can be!
The house was nice and had the cabin feel we wanted. Plenty of room and spacious kitchen. There was NO toiletries as they web site said. No Shampoo or bath soap. No Massenutten store had shampoo so we had to go off the mountain to get shampoo. I specifically looked at the website to check before I left. The house book and separate sheet contradicted each other about cable. There is no cable and we don’t have Hulu, etc so we could not watch the sports games we wanted to watch. There were several light bulbs out and the loft shower didn’t drain so we only had 2 available showers vs 3. One of the reasons I picked this house is the pic of the foosball table. It was broke and had no ball so the tweens couldn’t play. Also, be aware that the carpeted stairs into the basement are slippery as I fell and slid down at least 6 steps, but didn’t sustain an injury. Despite the issues we had we did enjoy the house. The vinyl turntable was enjoyable! Not trying to put the house down just managing expectations and making owners aware.

Graduation central
We were very lucky to find a house that would hold all the family for my son's graduation from JMU. The description was very nice and the pictures were pleasing. The home was very nice overall however we were disappointed that the main living area had no tv. There was one in the master and one in the basement but you had to use your phone and download the Roku app to use it. There were two Master bedrooms but the bunkroom left a lot to be desired. It did have a ping pong table but was wedged into the room with little space to manuveaur. As we had 3 seniors over the age of 75, we ended up with 1 faction upstairs and one downstairs after getting them down there. The stove top was cracked and the light didn't work. The description said the kitchen was fully stocked but there was only two small frying pans to use for 8 people. The deck was nice but so small only 2-3 people could be out there and one piece of furniture was broken. There were 4 baths, 3 full and a half and they were fine. The welcome basket on the counter had a bottle of sparkling wine and an empty thank you envelope. I hope that the owner is aware of some of the issues with housekeeping and maintance. We won't be back but overall if you don't plan on staying in the house for any length of time and don't plan on cooking it may be the place for you.

Brian, thank you for taking the time to review this property. The homeowner would like to pass along the following message:
"We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconveniences. As for the broken furniture we were unaware and will fix it as soon as possible. We are aware of the damaged stove top and plan to replace it soon. However, it does not affect the functioning of the stove top as it still works properly. The TV should work without downloading the app, and we apologize if that detail was unclear. We strive to provide exceptional guest experiences and hope you enjoyed everything else about your stay. Thank you!"
