The weather in Yuma was pleasant. The property had a lot of room. A major concern was there were “decorative” bars on on all windows. If there were a fire - the front door would be the ONLY escape. The carpet was quite old & badly stained in all rooms. The uncarpeted kitchen & laundry room had holes, cuts & separated tiles. There was a distinct odor when we arrived which was attempted to be masked with air fresheners & sprays & candles. We purchased cleaning solutions & scrubbed & vacuumed floors & furniture & cleaned deeply & left the property much cleaner than it was when we arrived. The master shower was good but the tub/shower couldn’t be used. The shower door had been removed & holes left in the fiberglass, & no plastic shower curtain. The owners were very pleasant people to talk to on the phone. For example when we called to say the outdoor grill did not work at all & was very dirty, they had a new one delivered to the property within 24 hours. We planned to show & tell the local owner about what we had to do, however she was unable to come for the final walk through that we had scheduled. She instructed us to just leave the key - which we did. If they want to continue to rent this property it needs to have some renovations in our opinion.
