Come enjoy a lovely 3 bedroom, 1 bath house on Little Tippy Lake (James Lake). A private in water slip is provided, with space for a boat on the dock. Little Tippy is an all sports lake, so bring your tubes, wakeboards, skis, and wake surf boards. One third of Little Tippy is preserve, so it is well suited for the angler looking for the perfect spot. Big Tippy (Tippecanoe Lake) is easily accessible via a short channel. The lake view house is just steps from the lake. The main bay windows and the patio face west and make for picturesque sunsets while enjoying a beverage after a fun day on the lake. The house is part of a private lakeside park that is the perfect spot for croquet, cornhole, ladder golf or boccie. The house is 1400 square feet and has space to accommodate 2 families. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed. Upstairs is the loft with a full bed and two twins.

Very nice place! Very Clean and nice neighbors!
Took a long weekend with 3 buddies for some fishing and boating. The house was very well kept and clean. All the comforts of home. Got to meet the neighbors, they were also very nice and very welcoming. Owner was easy to work with and everything went smooth. I would definitely stay here again.
Great property. We rented a boat for our stay which made it even more fun. Having the dock to park the boat was great-even if the dock is not right in front of the house. Our 3 kids loved the loft area! My only suggestion would be to have a grill on the back patio and a skillet in the kitchen. Had a hard time making pancakes. The neighbors are so nice. They let us borrow their grill and use their paddle boat for cruising around on Little Tippy. The king size bed is awesome and I loved all the fluffy towels in the bathroom. This house is really adorable and VERY clean. Fun family getaway. Thanks for a great stay!

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for the great review, I am glad you enjoyed your time. In response to your comments: I would like to provide a grill, but insurance does not allow me to do so. Also I just checked and there was a skillet, it was just jammed in the way back of a pots and pan drawer, which is obviously where it should not be and I have fixed it.
Hope to see you next year!
Robert
Lake rental property is hard to find (in season) - this one is a gem! We wanted a week of lake fun and water sports and got all that and more. The rental has a well provisioned kitchen and the washer/dryer on site was a definite plus. We will definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone.
The rental was clean and had everything we needed. The views were wonderful, the rental had many windows. It was cozy and open. The rooms were much larger than what the pictures portrayed. The owner had done many improvements to the inside so It was much better than we expected. It was well decorated. We would definitely stay again! The owners In-Laws who live next door greeted us and were very kind, welcoming and helpful. The neighborhood properties were very nice. This property is a hidden gem you will enjoy!

Great little place
Much has been recently updated, so it was better than expected. Check-in was a little confusing, but the owners in-laws live next door. All the neighbors are fantastic and friendly.
We had a very good time surrounded by family. Owner's in-law live next door and were very helpful. Our biggest issue was only having the one bathroom, which we knew about a head of time. We brought our RV so we would have another restroom. We rented a boat, had beautiful weather, and got to relax and have fun.
We would stay here again. Great set-up for our family. Loved the area, the view and the ability to have our boat at the dock. Every neighbor we talked to was very nice - just a charming area!
My family had a great week at Tippy. We enjoyed our stay and everything we needed was at the house for us. The rental process was easy and we will definitely be back!
This was our third year in a row at this home. It’s in a great neighborhood and the neighbors are very friendly. We had a great time. We will be back next year.
On Thursday afternoon, our plans for a long weekend fell through, so I turned to VRBO in search of a plan B. What a wonder turn of events! We packed up immediate after confirming with Rob, and headed up to Little Tippy. I grew up vacationing on the main lake, and had some doubts about a property available last minute, but this adorable A frame blew us out of the water.
The photos do not do it justice - rooms are much more spacious, the loft was perfect for my son and his friend (and could have fit more), and at 15 they enjoyed having their own space. Rob and his family thought of everything - down to different colored towels and hooks so no one got confused. The kitchen is well stocked; the closet had games and cards; the bookshelf full of light reading..
It is not on one the water, but just a few steps to get there, and you have an amazing view from the patio, and great area to set up chairs by the pier.
Rob's inlaws next door were so hospitable and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
We will definitely look to come again!
everything was very nice except the weather that no one can control
very nice

We loved the place
We thought that the house was going to be very small and it was just perfect for the five of us. It was very clean and a great view. Would definitely go back. We had a great time.

About the host

I am originally from Ossian, In. I grew up going to my parents lake cottage on Tippecanoe Lake every summer weekend. My husband is from Virginia and spent his summers in Rehoboth Beach, De, which is where we live now. The beach is great, but I have always loved the lake. When the opportunity came up for us to own a lake cottage on Little Tippy we jumped at the chance. Since we live on the east coast we will only be able to enjoy the cottage a few weeks a year, so we decided to rent it out so others can enjoy the lake.
