Hale 'O Malina is located in beautiful Waikoloa Village. The "Village" as it's affectionately referred to is located just up the road from world class golf courses, pristine beaches, stunning resorts, amazing restaurants and so much more!

This home has vaulted ceilings in the family room, an updated kitchen, a/c and ceiling fans throughout. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, including the master. Downstairs is an additional bedroom and bathroom. This home offers your choice of dining inside or outside while taking in the mountain and ocean views.

After a long day at the beach, enjoy the convenience of a private outdoor shower. Then relax and unwind in the private outdoor hot tub or sitting around the fire pit. Watch the sunset from the upstairs lanai while grilling up some of our fresh island fish.

While staying in Hale 'O Malina, enjoy the use of the community Robert Trent Jones golf course, swimming pool and tennis courts. The village has a full range of services including a grocery store, medical office, banking, gas station, business center, etc.

This property has a small apartment on the first floor also known in Hawaii as an "Ohana". The first floor Ohana is primarily used by the owners or their guests.

The home was comfortable and clean, thoughtfully stocked, the neighborhood was quiet. It was a comfortable place to relax after a day of exploring. Weather permitting you can enjoy the ocean view from the front deck, the living room, the kitchen or the en suite bedroom. While the deck is at the front of the house, the house sits far enough back on the lot that you still feel a sense of privacy.The only slip up was on our part when we missed the part of the advertisement indicating the owner reserved the right to have family or guests in the Ohana unit, which is directly below the main level of the house. It was very alarming at 6 o’clock in the morning, sitting on the couch, having coffee and all of a sudden hearing noise coming from the Ohana when you think you’re alone. It turned out their son was staying in the Ohana. I suggested to the owner that perhaps it’s a good idea to let people know when the Ohana is going to be occupied! It might save your guests from having a heart attack!The only reason we rated the value for the money at four stars instead of five is because we thought we had the property to all to ourselves.

Amazing Stay on Big Island

My family stayed here for 5 nights. The house was amazing and offered everything we would need for our stay. The host was very communicative and helpful with any questions that came up. The neighborhood was safe, the view from the lanai was breathtaking, and we wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend staying here and hope that we can stay here again one day.

I definitely recommend staying here! This place is a lovely spot to call home for vacation. It accommodated 8 adult ladies perfectly and everyone was very pleased with the house. The house was decorated (not over or under decorated) and gave a warm, welcoming, cozy feel with a comfortable couch in the living room and a large dining table. We did not cook in the house so cannot attest to the kitchen supplies and appliances other than the blender was great. All beds were reported as being comfortable and perfect for escorting us off to slumber after long full days of activities. There were two pillows per person which was very much appreciated. The covers and blankets were thin as it is a warm climate but each room had a spare blanket. I was perfectly comfortable each night but most of my friends reported being cold sometimes. Costco sized toiletries were supplied in each shower which was a very thoughtful touch. The driveway can easily accommodate a couple of cars. Beach chairs and a large cooler were available and also much appreciated! The hot tub was enjoyed by some of the group. Big Island indeed! It took a while to get to all of our activities with everything being at least a 30 minute drive. All that said, all of my questions were answered and replied to in very quick fashion.

Perfect place for a family vacation

The house has everything a family needs for a great vacation. Communication with the property manager is also top notch. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Bog Island.

Lovely, large home close to great beaches

We stayed with our family of 7 adults. Check in was easy and the home was clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking a variety of meals at home. It was great to have beach chairs and gear that we could take to the beach. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful Home

My family had an amazing time staying here. The home is beautiful and spacious. It had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this space. It was conveniently located to everything we wanted to see and do. Hapuna Beach is right down the road and we visited twice during our stay. I can't speak highly enough about our stay here. It was perfect in every way.

Amazing Hawaii Stay

The house was amazing. The property was exactly as mentioned. The location in our opinion was part of the draw of this. It was away from the coast a little that so it provided a rest from the heat (a little). Overall a great location and house. We will definitely stay there again if we go back to the big island.

Loved the house and the view. Great location and awesome sunset views from the poarch. Only issue was the ac was not central ac and the one mini split in the main kitchen and livingroom was not adequate. No air in bathrooms abedrooms stay cool if you left on all day

WONDERFUL HOME

We will treasure our stay in this great home for years to come. The home is beautifully kept up by the onsite tenants. They are helpful and took care of all our needs and even greeted us with fresh sliced pineapple and a gift basket that our children loved. The owner was great to work with as well. I would highly recommend this home and hope to come stay again myself.

Great house with nice amenities

Great house that was nicely supplied and furnished. Plenty of towels (both bath and beach). Plenty of space and a gorgeous view of the ocean from the lanai. It is quite a distance from Kona, especially with construction, but the local market has everything you need and the very close beaches are some of the best.

Our whole family loved your house. We enjoyed staying there, especially watching sunset from the front lanai, relaxing next to the fire pitch. Also it is only 20 minutes to the two best beaches on the island: Hapuna and Manua Kea. Owner provides great quality beach chairs and surfing boards. Very nice place

Beautiful home

This home was gorgeous! It was clean and spacious. It had everything we needed for cooking meals at the house. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed the view off the porch every morning and evening. Sunsets were beautiful! Watching the starts come out in the hot tub was amazing. Would definitely stay again on a return trip to Hawaii.

Perfect for our two families!

We loved staying at the Hale O'Malina! The size of the home was perfect for two families with two children each. The common area was beautiful and very accommodating. The porch was perfect for watching sunsets after a long day exploring the island. There were lots of beautiful beaches close to the home and plenty of beach chairs for us to use. The hot tub and fire pit were also very inviting several evenings of our stay. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home! I only wish that we had stayed longer.

50th Anniversary Family Celebration

Everything was just as presented online only better. The neighborhood was so quiet and the property so well landscaped for privacy as well as tropical beauty that we felt safe and pampered. Everything we needed was provided . We especially enjoyed sunset from the front porch and late nights out back. This was a special week for us as we island hopped. Perfect!

Best place to stay!

Where do I start with a review after such an incredible stay?! Caroline is a delight to work with and she made sure our stay was special even before we arrived.  The house layout was perfect for our group of six. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful flowers and landscaping both in the front yard and in the back near the hot tub made for a tranquil setting. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make great meals (including a night of grilling). We felt at home and cared for throughout our experience. You can't go wrong selecting this property for your Hawaiian adventure!

GORGEOUS HOME!!!!

Caroline’s home is absolutely perfect. So beautiful decorated and the lay out is perfect. Very thoughtfully done. Outdoor areas are just gorgeous. The huge front porch/veranda is the best spot on the property. Gorgeous views and beautiful place to watch the sunset!! I would not hesitate to stay here again. We travelled all over the island. Hawaiian Paradise

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hale o Malina! The home was clean and a perfect space for a mid-size family (we had 7 in our party). The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals there. We ate nearly every meal on the BEAUTIFUL wrap around porch that overlooked the ocean. Now let’s talk about the grounds. The whole outside of the house is a tropical paradise! Our boys loved running around the yard looking for geckos, falling coconuts and playing ball. The porch has so many quiet, cozy spaces to soak in the quiet of the neighborhood and beautiful views! The back yard is so relaxing with the fire pit and hot tub. The outdoor shower was a super fun and unique addition-our boys loved cleaning off in there after a long day at the beach. The only slight downside is how far the property is from beach access. It’s a minimum 20 min drive to the local beaches. But it’s also nice to be close to the mountain pass to get to the other side of the island faster than when staying in Kona. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful rental in great location

We loved this rental. The front porch and it view of the ocean was our favorite for both morning coffee and watching the sunset. The house was immaculate and well appointed with appliances and dishes. The refrigerator was immaculate as were dishes but there were a few spices for use. This has been one of our favorite rentals! The pool is usable and just a short drive away b joy it is mostly used for lap swimming by older people. We didn’t feel it was a. Great place for kids to play- fine with us the ocean was amazing and there are day passes available at Hilton Waikoloa. The Waikoloa village grocery store and restaurants are very close. Highly recommend this rental.

Excellent Rental Home and Location

My family consisting of 8 all adult of age stayed at the home for approximately two weeks from the end of December through January of 2016. The home was in great condition and had everything we needed for the time we stayed including kitchen items to beach chairs and cooler. The area was in the ideal location close to beaches and even in a good location to go over to Hilo for the day over the Saddle road or around on the Belt road. There was even a full market (grocery store) within a mile or so which was a huge plus when you needed that one last minute item. We also met the caretaker Stan who stays in another part of the home and was very helpful and friendly. You would not even know Stan was staying there if someone didn't tell you, he was so quiet. Everyone enjoyed the comfort and location of the home and hope to go back soon. Thanks Charlie

Our children are all off to college, leaving us with time to travel and see other places. Now we want to share what we have enjoyed for so many years with others. We hope you enjoy our piece of paradise as much as we have!

Why they chose this property

This home sits in the back of Waikoloa Village with great ocean views that we have never grown tired of seeing. Waikoloa's central location is convenient to everything and just 6 miles away from world class resorts and beaches. We have customized every aspect of this home from fixtures to landscaping to our "zen" area with a bungalow style gazebo. Our kids loved playing basketball in the cool evenings as the Night Blooming Jasmine began to fill the air. This home will always be paradise to us!!

The expansive front lanai is the perfect place to start your morning with a cup of coffee or end your days adventure's watching the ocean. The property is located in the small town known as Waikoloa Village. This peaceful community is centrally located on the west side of the island making travel to other parts of this large island easy!
