Beautiful area no doubt. The cabin was nice. A bit musty smelling and heavily scuffed up walls. There's a wet towel behind the toilet that looks to have been there awhile. Found it wierd to not allow kids but only have bunks in the lower room. Tough place for more than one couple.We made it work and still had a good time. Close to town was a plus too!

Phenomenal! I was looking for a place kind of last minute on Madeline Island for my 50th and this property was exactly what I wanted and needed! Check-in was…..perfection. Very clean and welcoming property! Beautiful screened in porch and well-stocked kitchen for cooking meals! I was very impressed and felt pretty privileged to have the opportunity to have the owner open it to share with my sweetie and myself! Although close to middle of island road, it felt quite private because it was set back into the woods yet really close to the main part of the island! Well stocked with linens and pretty much everything a person would need! Beautiful area for bonfire and even a wooded swing to watch the clouds on! Bed was comfortable and I slept fantastic! I have stayed in many VRBOs and really enjoyed this one! Thank you!!

Madeline Island Vacation

This Vrbo is a perfect location- and easy bike ride to the town and state park. We loved having the screened in porch for the evenings when the bugs were bad. Peaceful cabin with lots of wildlife

Overall we were happy with the stay, but we did have some miscommunication with the host about some amenities. I read a review stating there was a rollaway bed on the porch, but the host said no. We were hoping for more privacy for our 3 couples. When we got there, there were, in fact, 2 rollaway beds on the porch but we didn't bring bedding since we were told there wasn't one. We planned a night to grill and I had asked the host if there was a grill. It wasn't mentioned on the listing but there was a grill, which he confirmed. He also confirmed there was LP for the grill. After we heated up the grill and put all our raw meat on it, the LP tank ran dry.

We would have been more than happy to bring sheets for the beds, but unfortunately, we didn’t hear from you during your stay. We also provide propane for the gas grills if it happens to run out during your stay. We sent several emails with our contact information and would have been happy to help with either of these concerns if we had heard from you. We truly wish we’d had the opportunity to address these things while you were here and make your stay more comfortable. Thank you again for your feedback!

Great stay at island Fox

Island Fox was a nice home to stay on the island and had everything we needed and was conveniently located. The screened in porch was comfortable to sit and read without the bugs. We even saw a bear! The check in process ended up being very easy however I didn’t get communication on it in advance and no response when I messaged and called on our drive up. All in all a great stay. Thank you for sharing your home.

Woodsy Retreat

Spacious home with high ceilings and lovely screened in porch. Very nice yard with a fire pit that we put to use, however, be warned to bring lots of bug spray. The mosquitoes were fierce. The only thing we would have changed was having the home aired out. It was rather musty smelling, like it had been closed up for a while. We had to open all the windows and run fans to air it out. It did get better by day two. We had a really lovely stay.

A homey place on Madeline Island

This Americana-rich get-away place has a spacious ground floor opening to an open loft of immense size -- the master bedroom with 1/2 bath. On the bottom floor is a bedroom (with a full-sized bunkbed) and a screened porch with two additional fold-up beds (still comfortable!). The kitchen has an island with bar chairs for four. The picnic table on the porch sits six. The location is really hard to beat -- near La Pointe (a bike ride or a quick trip for ice cream) and also on the way to Big Bay Town Beach or State Park. It's far off the road so quiet. We saw a bear cross the road 1/2 mile away so when the owners say that no food should be left on the screened porch, they mean it :-). Will definitely return to this cozy place.

The house was perfect for two couples staying on Madeline Island. It was clean, secluded and peaceful. The management company was very responsive and provided a portable air conditioner when we were concerned about the possibility of wildfire smoke. We loved exploring this beautiful island and the mainland.

Wonderful cabin in the woods

We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway during the Covid crisis. It was a beautiful, warm and surprisingly spacious cabin.
