Relax in this peaceful location surrounded by lush biodiversity, native tree species, and coffee trees. Wake up to the sounds of birds and enjoy daily walks either inside of the gated community or its surroundings.

Amazing property in the Mountains near Puriscal
My wife Carolin and I were fortunate to be the first guests of this beautiful house. The gated community is located approximately 1 hour drive from the SJO airport and is centrally located for exploring the best of Costa Rica. The scenic winding drive through the mountains is completely paved and in excellent condition. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing elaborate meals and even had a blender for making fresh smoothies. We were impressed with the amenities that were thoughtfully provided by Anna and Juan Carlos. From the brand new barbeque and hammock on the patio to the Ziploc bags and cleaning supplies it made our stay very enjoyable.
Sitting on the porch you have an amazing view of the central valley from 3000 ft elevation. The property is very peaceful and offers lots of privacy.
We are dog lovers, and were happy to get a visit from "Macho" a neighborhood dog that was very friendly and calm. He would show up occasionally and hang out with us on the porch as we enjoyed our coffee.
We had a fantastic stay, and would highly recommend the Casita for anyone wanting to stay in the Puriscal area.

Ana and Juan are the property owners. We live in Calgary, Canada. Ana is a high school teacher (French, Spanish and ESL), and Juan is an engineer. We love nature, hiking, and walking in the Canadian mountains and forests. We have two adult sons, and a chocolate lab dog. We built this property as a retirement investment and love to spend time there away from our busy schedule.
Why they chose this property
This property is in a gated community only a few minutes to Santiago de Puriscal, and 45 minutes driving distance to San Jose. You can have day trips to the nearest beach (Playa hermosa) that is 1.5 hours away. It is located in the mountains of Costa Rica, do the average temperature ranges from 24-26 C.
What makes this property unique
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this property surrounded by nature and wildlife. If you need the commodities of a major city, it is still very close to San Jose and rural communities such as Desamparaditos, Puriscal and Bajo Mora.
