Be part of the Art Deco experience

We arrived in Napier and began with an ArtDeco tour, so cool to have the property you’ll check into afterwards be pointed out by the tour guide. Great property to stay in. Street cleaners are up early but it’s a special place and should be looked after.

Great location, issues with sleeping

Can’t fault the location and the deco style, beds a bit small and uncomfortable, hot overnight (could do with a couple of fans) and some more cooking equipment.

Thanks for your feedback Lance. It is a spacious and beautiful Art Deco apartment in the Art Deco style. Not sure why you didn’t address your concerns during your stay with us. This would have given us the opportunity to help you. The apartment has air conditioning climate control and also a fan located in the main bedroom cupboard. Brilliant stay

This place is centrally located in the shopping centre so extremely handy to all restaurants, shops and activities. Brilliant property. Only downfall was early morning (after 5am) when street cleaners came through to empty bins on street it was a bit noisy.

Second stay here

This was my second stay in Carla’s beautiful apartment. It is in a great location to be able to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. Carla is very helpful and quick to respond. I would come back a third time should I ever be in Napier again.

Beautifully maintained period property in the heart of Napier. Excellent support from our host when we were caught up in the aftermath of Cyclone Gabrielle. Such a shame the festival was cancelled.

Beautiful property well looked after. Was very clean and tidy! Thank you very much for letting us stay there. Was super easy being right in town to access shops. No need to drive anywhere! Thank you. Wiuld definitely stay here again! Super easy to book and excellent communication when dates had to change etc, not an issue at all. Very accommodating.

Napier stay

The accommodation is very nice, spacious, in style of the art deco area it is located in. To stay in a place like this is great. Unfortunately, the car space provided is in a car park building that isn't secure. Our car got vandalised overnight with damage to roof and bonnet from person/s unknown climbing and/or jumping on it. Bad luck i know, but personally my wife and i wouldn't stay here again because there is that risk and the owners don't have insurance cover outside apartment for guests.

Thank you for the appreciation of our apartment and the quality of your stay in relation to that. The apartment is spacious, authentic and unique in the heart of Napier CBD. We are very sorry for the inappropriate and unfortunate behaviour of someone that damaged your car during your stay. In the 4 years we have offered this accommodation this is first time something like this has happened. An enclosed lockable car park is not available in Napier CBD. We offer the best car park we can to our guests. The car park we offer is well lit overnight and is covered by CCTV cameras 24/7. This is a strong deterrent to a reoccurrence. The police are investigating your incident and hopefully will apprehend the culprit and there maybe a chance of the damage reparation in due course. Regards and thanks Carla and Kent

Step back in time....

Taking your first step into the apartment is like stepping back to the 1930's! It has a open plan living area that lead to a balcony overlooking the street below. It is open and airey with lots of windows to let the sun shine in, lounge and dining area is well appinted with two couches and a large round table ti sit around. Bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage in the built in robes. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and kitchen cooking essentials. The most appealing aspect of the apartment to us was how it has been decorated by the Hosts with beautiful furniture and decorator pieces around the home. The amazing location was a bonus.

Wonderful apartment

We were very impressed with our apartment right in the centre of town on the main shopping street. We thought that it might be noisy but it was fine. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and well worth the money.

We just loved this apartment. Elegant, stylish and beds were so comfortable. We were surprised at just how quiet it was at night, so we slept well. And so close to all of the shops and places to eat. Perfect week away for us girls.
