Stylish Andalusian country house, built in 2006, beautifully located on the slopes of the Cerval amid a private olive grove, with stunning views of the Sierra Nevada mountains and Alpujarra- as well as the beautiful bay of La Herradura. The Cortijo Davila is just 8 km outside the village of La Herradura. The road is paved on Cortijo Davila consistently and reaching the coast in about 15 minutes drive. The house itself is practical and fully furnished with all the Details for a relaxing and easy vacation. Ideal for couples with or without children. Self-catered with practically equipped kitchen and a beautiful outdoor grill on large panoramic terrace. From the pool you look in the mountains or on the spectacular bay of La Herradura. Search an ideal place for people, the original nature and some distance from the tourist bustle of the coast.

A very good and nice stay on the proberty. Nice House with nice pool. The neighbours doogs was barking every evening. The check in could be better. Just give the adress insted of be waiting for the owner in town. And yes it is mountain roads, but you get use to it in a couple of days.

Mountainside retreat in an orchard overlooking the bay of La Herradura

The 6 kilometer drive up and down the mountains to the cortijo takes your breath away. It is a beautiful scenic drive with some dramatic hairpin turns. Hence the view from the house verandah is stunning. So beautiful to see the bay from up there and the air is so fresh to breathe. We picked fresh oranges, lemons, kumquats from the orchard. The garden had lettuce, collard greens and green onions which we enjoyed. Jose was very helpful. When we arrived, he had bought us some food supplies we needed since we came after local stores had closed for the weekend. He had a lovely bottle of red wine for us and looked after us very well. He also had a huge pile of wood on the property which we relied on to keep us warm during the evenings. We were there in mid January and February. The house is built to remain cool in the summer heat so it is dark inside and tends to be cold after the sun goes down in winter.. There are portable electric heaters available which did the job of keeping us warm in the bedroom at night. The location is superb for shopping and lunching in Almunecar or for short day trips to Nerja, Torrox Costa, Fuengirola and Salobrena.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen. Wir hatten freie Sicht auf Meer und Berge. Der hauseigene Pool ist sauber, das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, alles ist im Haus vorhanden.Der direkte Kontakt zum Gastgeber ist unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage

Ein sehr schönes Objekt, welches viel Platz und Ruhe bietet. Dazu muss man sagen, dass der Weg von der Stadt zur Unterkunft einen 15-minütigen Autoweg durch steile Berge und Kurven beinhaltet.

Everything you need is available in the villa. Be aware of the steep and uncomfortable road from La Herradura to Cortijo Davila, it is 5 km long but you drive from Sea Level to altitude 600 meters.

Ruhiger Urlaub in einem schönen Cortijo mitten in der Natur.

Wir haben zwei Wochen im Cortijo Davila verbracht, in denen alles mehr als positiv war. Die Informationen, die Fotos und die Beschreibung entsprechen der Realität und übertreffen diese sogar. Die Freundlichkeit der Besitzer, Jose und Adela, ist exquisit. Ein idealer Ort, der die Ruhe mit der Möglichkeit verbindet, in wenigen Minuten den Strand und die touristischen Attraktionen des Costa Tropical zu genießen. Schitterend huis, locatie en uitzicht!

Dit huis is een echte aanrader voor wie rust wil, gecombineerd met een panorama waar je niet op uitgekeken raakt. Vanop het heel ruime terras is het elke dag genieten. Alles is ruim aanwezig: borden, glazen, bestek, lakensets, handdoeken, noem maar op... Tevens super propere woning! Wij geven 10 sterren ipv 5 en zouden graag volgend jaar reeds willen terug gaan. De eigenaar, José, is een heel vriendelijke aangename man. Een woordje Spaans spreken is mooi meegenomen om met hem te kunnen converseren. Eén woord: super!

Traumhafter Platz zum Entspannen

Wir hatten sehr schöne 3 Wochen im Cortijo Davila. Alle Fragen im Zusammenhang mit der Buchung wurden sehr schnell, freundlich und ausführlich von Wolfgang Schuster beantwortet. In La Herradura angekommen wurden wir von dem Vermieter José herzlich empfangen und zum Cortijo gebracht. Bei der ersten Auffahrt ist es ein recht abenteuerlicher Weg, aber es gibt schon die ersten grandiosen Aussichten auf die Bucht von La Herradura. Oben angekommen fanden wir ein schönes, sehr sauberes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Cortijo auf einem traumhaften Grundstück vor. Die Realität ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos dargestellt. Im Inneren ist es etwas dunkel, dafür ist es dort aber auch an sehr warmen Tagen angenehm kühl. Die Terrasse ermöglicht, dass man bei jedem Wetter draußen sein kann und seinen Urlaub genießen kann. Es gibt mehrere Wohlfühlecken mit sehr gemütlichen Gartenmöbeln und einem großen Grill. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf den hauseigenen Pool bis hin zum Meer ist atemberaubend. José hat uns regelmäßig besucht, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist, den Pool zu säubern oder uns mit saisonalen Früchten zu verwöhnen. Alles in allem ein rundum gelungener Urlaub. Wir würden das Cortijo und seine Vermieter / Betreuer jederzeit weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder!

Fantastisch huis, weg van de drukte.

Prachtig huis met een enorme veranda welke een spectaculair uitzicht geeft op de bergen de zee en La Herradura. Het huis ligt afgelegen en is te bereiken via een smalle bergweg in 15 minuten van La Heradura. De huis is erg stijlvol ingericht en wordt met liefde verzorgt. Op de veranda en rond het zwembad staan mooie planten. De slaapkamers zijn ruim en de bedden zijn goed. De Keuken goed ingericht en er is prima WIFI in het hele huis en op de veranda. De eigenaar is een zeer vriendelijke man die echt wil dat alles in en rond het huis goed werkt en in orde is. Wij komen zeker terug!

Sehr schön!

Es war ein wundervoller 3-wöchiger Aufenthalt. Alle positiven Bewertungen können wir bestätigen. José ist in jeder Hinsicht sehr aufmerksam, überaus freundlich und ein toller Gastgeber. Aber auch die tolle Vermittlung von Herrn Schuster und seine stets freundliche Art auch auf die x. Mail noch gelassen zu antworten :-), möchte ich nicht unerwähnt lassen. Einzig die auf der Karte angezeigte Lage könnte missverständlich sein, da das Cortijo sich nördlich der Autobahn befindet, daher auch die 8km Entfernung, die aber mit dem Leihwagen sehr gut zu meistern sind und eben den mehrfach angesprochenen atemberaubenden Ausblick, schon während der Fahrt, bieten. Fazit: absolut empfehlenswert!

Schönes Haus in herrlicher Umgebung

Wir haben 5 Wochen im Cortijo Davila verbracht und diese Zeit sehr genossen. Das Haus und seine Umgebung sind sehr schön und auch ideal für einen längeren Aufenthalt geeignet. José Cabrera ist ein freundlicher, charmanter und hilfsbereiter Besitzer, der sich gut um Haus und Umgebung, sowie seine Gäste kümmert. Die Aussicht von der grosszügigen überdachten Veranda auf die umliegende Berglandschaft und hinunter auf das Mittelmeer ist atemberaubend, man kann sich nicht daran sattsehen. Der gepflegte Pool lädt zur Erfrischung ein und auf den Liegestühlen am Pool kann man die Zeit mit Faulenzen in der Sonne, ausgiebigem Lesen oder anderen angenehmen Dingen verbringen. Das Cortijo Davila ist jedenfalls ein Ort, um sich wirklich zurückzuziehen, sich zu erholen und neue Energie zu tanken. Auch Ausflüge in die nähere, aber auch weitere Umgebung lassen sich problemlos bewältigen, sind La Herradura in 15 Fahrminuten und die beiden Kulturmetropolen Granada und Málaga jeweils nur einer Autostunde zu erreichen. Das Haus ist liebevoll und praktisch eingerichtet, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bei schönem Wetter sitzt man ohnehin nur draußen und geniesst die wunderschöne Natur und das mediterrane Klima. Auch das WLan funktionierte einwandfrei, obwohl das unserer Meinung nach nicht im Vordergrund steht. Allerdings ermöglicht es einem auch, bei Bedarf zu arbeiten, sich zu vernetzen und so ist das Haus auch für jemanden interessant ist, der die Arbeit mit einem schönen Urlaub verbinden will (oder muss).

Wunderbarer Urlaub im andalusischen Nobel-Landhaus

Uns hat das Cortijo Davila sehr gut gefallen. Eine atemberaubende Aussicht nach kurvenreicher Anfahrt über schmale Bergstrassen ( zum Teil unbefestigt) ist das erste, was uns übermann hat. Die Plantage kann man kletternd erobern und auch mal eine Mango, Feigen, Sharons oder Mandeln ernten. Der Zustand des Landhauses ist sehr liebevoll gepflegt, an alle Details wurde bei der Einrichtung gedacht. Wir haben vor allem den offenen Kamin sehr genossen. Auf der überdachten, sehr großzügigen Terrasse lässt sich auf verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten verweilen und der Blick aufs Meer geniessen. Wir fühlten uns prächtig; meilenweit vom Alltag entfernt, beinah wie Eremiten. Unsere Kleinkinder (3+5) haben den gepflegten Swimmingpool und die geschützte Anlage genossen, wir die Sonnenliegen. Ausflüge sind leicht zu machen, z.B. in die Höhlenwunder von Nerja oder das Höhlendorf Guadix, wobei man die Sierra Nevada und La Alpujarra mit grandiosen landschaftlichen Ausblicken streift. Man muss nur einplanen, dass der Strand eine kleine halbe Stunde entfernt ist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und möchten dieses Domizil gerne weiterempfehlen.
