Bear Mountain Retreat is nestled on the side of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 4 secluded acres adjoining the Shenandoah National Park. The cabin provides the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy experiences like star gazing by the fire pit and hot tub and listening to the quiet sounds of nature from the screened porch. Located ~1.5 hours from DC and within 30 min of destinations like Skyline Drive, Luray Caverns, Shenandoah River float outfitters, boat launches, wineries, breweries, hiking trails and more!
The space:
Our cabin is a peaceful, secluded, family friendly 2 bedroom 2 bath home with a loft (3rd bedroom) that includes additional sleeping spaces. Both bedrooms come equipped with smart TVs if you want to watch a movie while relaxing in bed.

You will have the entire property to yourself with ample flat outdoor space for activities and exploration. The home adjoins the Shenandoah National Park which you are free to explore.
Other things to note:
The Cabin is located about a mile up a steep single lane gravel road. 4WD or AWD vehicles with reasonable ground clearance strongly recommended and/or required depending on weather conditions. The drive to the cabin is part of the adventure!
There is a chain gate that requires a gate code for guest to access the road up to the cabin. Code will be provided to guests prior to arrival.

We were drawn to stars, the wildlife, and the serenity and enjoy spending quality time here with our family. There's nothing quite like the quiet you get up on the mountain!
