The WoodRiver House is lovely. We keep returning, because we know it will be very clean, well stocked with kitchen items, have comfortable beds and plenty of indoor and outdoor space to gather. Our favorite spot to eat and chat is the table on the deck with 8 big, comfortable chairs. The enclosure around the bottom half of the deck is clear, so you can enjoy the surrounding trees and the view of the grassy area and river across the road. It's our go-to place!!!

Our stay at this VRBO was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the standard or price point advertised. From the moment we arrived, the house was 85F and remained unbearably hot until the air conditioning was finally fixed the following day. Starting a vacation in those conditions was unacceptable.The property was poorly maintained and lacked even basic amenities. There were no tissues (Kleenex), no make-up mirror and only one towel set per person for the entire stay. For the premium price charged, we expected much better.Maintenance and cleanliness were also major concerns. One of the toilets ran continuously, several door handles were sticky, the deck was dirty and covered in cobwebs, and the refrigerator's ice and water dispenser malfunctioned, getting stuck and spilling ice and water onto the floor. The washer and dryer were either old or cheap. It generally took 4 hours to wash and dry one load.The lack of attention to maintenance, and basic guest amenities made this property feel far from the 5 star experience it promised. The location was great however, traffic noise was intense. We cannot recommend this rental, as it simply was not worth the price we paid.

We had a family reunion in Bend where 2 of my sons and their families live. We absolutely loved this house, it met all of our needs. After a day of sightseeing or floating the river, we relaxed on the covered deck, watching the kids play in the park across the street. I would rent this house again.

Certainly, it was extremely unfortunate timing that the furnace had the problem during your stay. We apologize for the inconvenience that created. It is worth clarifying, however, that we notified you of the possible problem and a suspected cause could have been an open window. We agreed with your suggestion to turn off the heater during that day because you were out of the home, and you would take care of the window upon your return. We ultimately got our first opportunity to resolve the heater problem when you replied to us 745 that evening, your last night there.

Go-to-house

This is our second time staying at WoodRiver House. The location is great for outdoor activities, shopping and family living in Bend. The house meets all our needs. Its kitchen is well stocked, beds are very comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. We love the sheltered, outdoor table area and spend much of out time there. We will return.
