Deschutes Forest Lodge - A beautiful Estate in the Woods - but still close to downtown Bend!
Entering the grounds, the house is set far back from the road. There is a 2 car garage, with an EV Charger, and plenty of off street parking in the driveway. Entering the house you will find a large open main level, the great room features a glass garage door that opens up for indoor outdoor living, and in winter provides a wonderful view, as well as letting in lots of natural light. There is also a half bath off the Great Room. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with all manner of pots, pans, baking pans, cutting boards, etc... There is a pantry with an extra refrigerator, and also holds extra pots and pans and serving items, as well as a plethora of small kitchen appliances. Additionally there is a large refrigerator and a large freezer, as well as a Viking Range with 6 burners. Plenty of seating - in the Great Room, and in the kitchen at the island or the large Dining Table. There is also a designated office work space, with a printer and a desktop for guests use. The Main Suite is also on this level, for those who may not want to do stairs. This area features a King Bedroom with a desk area, a large walk in closet and a large master bath, with a tub and walk in shower and two vanities (the walk in shower has a bench seat as well). Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, 2 Kings size, 1 Queen and a Bunk room. Each set of rooms shares a bath and shower combo. Each room has it's own mini walk in closet. Down the hall you will find a large game room, with Ping Pong and Foosball, a game table and a TV, and a half bath. This room also has a bar area, with a mini fridge. Also upstairs is a Laundry Room with a Washer and Dryer. There is a large patio area with a fire pit and a hot tub, along with a BBQ, and many yard games and lots of seating, when weather permits. There is a large outdoor dining table under a covered porch area, and a large grassy area for the games.
Weddings and large events are not allowed at this home - the home is in a quiet community - so if you are looking for a party pad - this is probably not the house for you.

There are so many opportunities for fun things to do in Bend and the surrounding areas. There is the river of course, and skiing at Mt. Bachelor or Hoodoo, and so many beautiful hikes. There is also a pretty nice food scene and lots of breweries to visit! So much to see and do in this great area.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique in the sense that it is just outside of the Bend city limits, but is close enough to still be super accessible to town. The grounds are larger than most other vacation rentals, because of the fact that it isn't within the city limits. So it affords privacy, and space. There are other homes around, so we still ask guests to be considerate and observe the quiet hours.
