Iconic New Zealand beach cottage with elevated harbour and bush views.

Mahurangi Magic- Comfortable and colourful bach ( Classic New Zealand beach cottage) with a great deck to enjoy elevated views over native bush to the Mahurangi Harbour. Perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway. The views from the front BBQ deck are mesmerising and the birdlife is abundant. Fully-equipped kitchen with F&P dish drawer dishwasher. Breville espresso coffee maker. Cosy new king-sized bed with quality pure cotton sheets. Heat pump for cooling and heating plus Dyson fan and heaters. Free Wifi. Netflix and Sky TV. One good-sized private bedroom with beautiful views over the harbour and a small walk-through bedroom with 1 king single bed. The bathroom and laundry have just been fully renovated with a generous 1mx1m shower with good water pressure in bathroom. Currently there is construction work in progress on a downstairs bedroom but this is not visible from the guest area and does not impinge on your use of the property. If you appreciate character with a touch of nostalgia this property will appeal to you.

Wonderful spot for a holiday

All mod cons in this very comfortable kiwiana bach made for a very pleasant stay. Lovely spot overlooking the beautiful sea and bush of Mahurangi West. Great swimming at the beaches and plenty to explore.

Fabulous classic NZ bach

We enjoyed a comfortable and relaxed stay in this cute, cosy bach. The views and surrounding area is beautiful (even during a summer storm), wish we had longer to enjoy the beach and regional park. The house had everything we needed, check in was easy and communication friendly.

Slice of paradise

Had the best little escape away for a couple nights. Not far from Auckland but still felt tucked away from all the noise. Very cosy, authentic, classic New Zealand bach and had everything you need! Loved the CD player, playing scrabble, enjoying the view and exploring the area. Honestly didn’t want to leave and would definitely come back! Alice was also very responsive and easy to communicate with. 100% reccomend!

bookabach should be closed down

It was like a dump.In fact in was a dump for the landlord you could hardly move for rubbish everywhere it was just like the tv program hoarders .It was plain to see bookabach never inspect the properties they let.Never go to bookabach

The cottage was really quaint. An amazingly comfortable king size bed accessed through a small room that housed the single bed also comfortable and the bedding was awesome. Wonderful views over the water. Would recomend.

Lovely Bach with amazing views from the deck. Nice decor, comfy beds, great wifi, fantails and finches entertain from amongst the fruit trees. Everything you need - ideal for a couple. Bathroom is still authentic like our great Grandmas house. Perfect weekend away location.

Booking and messaging was convenient and easy. Location was priceless and accomodation was more than adequate for my needs. Recommend this stay if you need a quiet, scenic place to get away. Only thing is getting to and from the main highway, takes a bit of time and patience.

Wonderful Views; amazing location

We had a lovely 3 nights stay at this property. Cozy and warm with a very comfy bed. Very adequately equipped kitchen and plenty of towels and linen if needed. Minor hitch finding the key but the friendly neighbours helped and Alison called us shortly after to ensure we were ok. A nice place for a couple to stay in 😊

This cottage was the perfect place to be.... terrific community, lots of beaches, and close to towns. This quiet cul de sac is private and relaxing. We had a terrific time... Discovered the surroundings, met lots of friendly and welcoming neighbours... Felt right at home. The fig tree was the best... Picked them right of the tree every day. What a treat!!

My husband and I were looking for a lovely place to stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This cottage was an ideal place and the surroundings were wonderful with places to explore all around us. Happy with our short stay there.
