House of flies

Consider this a house of flies! 1980 mattress beds not comfortable at all, tv’s need to be upgraded. Couldn’t enjoy the pool lots of flies. This place needed to a little bit cleaner. Check in was horrible took us almost two hours to even make it past the security guard. No parking no internet . Game room in a hot garage no couch as shown on pictures.

Hi Carolyn Thank you for leaving a review following your 3 night stay over Memorial Day weekend. We are sorry that you had such an unpleasant experience. We will pass on your feedback regarding the mattresses to the owner of the property to ask them to renew/upgrade. The owner has now upgraded the TVs in the bedrooms. The flies are a problem at the moment, and appear to be caused by how often the trash is being collected and the way that some guests are dropping trash (un-bagged) into the trash cans in and around the homes. The check in that you are complaining of is presumably at the security gate at the front of the resort. On holiday weekends, the lines at the security gate do get long and take some time to get though. Unfortunately, the resort security gate is not something that we have any control over as we only manage certain homes on the resort.

I was okay my cons though

The property needs to be updated very vintage TVs are smaller than pictures frames good thing a Walmart was nearby not toiletries. Beware of extra changes for pool and jacuzzi heat it’s 158$ extra dollars their fee as well I’d you want to rent a grill it’s 107$ to. Flies numerous flies we had to buy spray to kill them game room needs to be updated tables faded but overall it spacious it’s okay other than that

Hi Terri Thanks for taking the time to write a review following your stay at "Palm Key Villa". The owner has upgraded the old box TV's following your feedback with newer, 32-inch Smart TVs in those bedrooms. We do charge an additional daily fee to pay for pool heating, to cover the utility cost to the owner. This is described in the advert, so we are sorry if you missed it when you booked. We are sorry if you expected a grill to be provided - that isn't shown in the advert. We do not leave grills at the home to avoid them becoming dirty and infested. Instead, we rent clean, fully charged and maintained grills through a third party to guests who want a BBQ. The flies are a problem at certain times of year, and particularly if guests don't dispose of their "wet" food waste and drinks down the waste disposal unit. Some guests unfortunately just toss their food and drinks into the trash cans without emptying or bagging it, which causes flies to be attracted. We have (since your stay) implemented a new policy and provide additional, strong, 50-gallon trash bags in the home for trash from guests staying at the home. We hope that you will come and stay with us again in future. Please remember that you can get a returning guest discount off your stay and save money when you book with VillaDirect next time.

The location is great but very bad in property cleanliness in the inside and outside areas

I will never rent this property again. Very bad cleanliness inside and outside areas. Plus the game room all games were broken. Really disappointed is not what you see in the pictures

Since your feedback, we've been back to the property to check and all of the games in the games room are working (sure, the pool table needs to be recovered, but it works).
