This is the place to be! The ultimate, affordable, cozy beach cottage! Enjoy the true St. Simons flavor of a beach cottage with amenities and gorgeous views of the ocean. Just steps to the beach. Features a fully equipped kitchen, king size bedroom, loft with a double and twin beds, pull out queen sleeper sofa in the living room, 1 full bath downstairs, a half bath in the loft, and an outdoor shower. Living areas include dining area/living room with fire place, large screened porch and patio with grill. From the outside elevated observation deck, have your coffee and watch the sunrise or in the evenings, watch the moon rise over the ocean. Pets considered with a $250 nonrefundable pet fee.

Spring break getaway

Such a cute beach cottage - perfect for a family of 4! Enjoyed the sounds of the ocean from the screened in porch and the view from the deck! The short 5 min walk over the dunes made it easy to get to the beach!

Nice Beach Bungalow

Small but cute. Screened in porch is absolutely wonderful. It is not beachfront, there is a three story house blocking your view. There is an unprotected captain’s watch in the backyard with a limited view of the ocean. The outdoor shower is very nice when returning from the beach, but it is still a nice little walk to the beach.

Great weekend getaway

Cute beach house, just steps away from the dunes and beach. The location is great, wonderful neighborhood to walk around and close to downtown restaurants and pier. Property managers were great in providing information, easy check in and check out.

Nice stay

We loved the location and the home was nicely appointed. They have a cleanliness problem however - mildew in the shower and AC vents and cockroaches in the drawers and cupboards.

Great little beach spot

I feel like the bio should mention how long the walk through the dunes is and that there are no board walks. We ended up buying a wagon to trudge out chairs and cooler. Place was clean and cozy otherwise!

Cold in the winter

Although this is a cute place and super convenient to the beach, it lacks heat in the winter with air conditioning only. We stayed there on a cold weekend and used the fireplace as our source for warmth. I would rent again in the summer only.

Lovely time for a quick family getaway!

My husband, son (11), dog (13 spaniel) and myself had the pleasure of staying at this property for Fall Break. LOCATION is AMAZING !!!! It's right at the public beach access but try during the day vs night time unless there is a full moon. The walk was frustrating at first but quickly became something I looked forward to doing. The house was exactly what we needed and nothing more. The big deck was awesome but we got eaten alive by the red mites. The deck needs to be re-done soon but is such an asset to the property. If you are seeking a quaint, quiet and relaxing vacation this is a perfect spot.

Great Cottage

Steps away from the beach walkover, and maybe a 5 minute walk in total from the door of the house through the dunes to get to the beach. Lots of dishes, cooking utensils and pots/pans. Downstairs was always nice and cool, but the upstairs loft tended to be warmer than downstairs (there is an A/C unit up there that we did not adjust during our stay) We had a wonderful time and we will definitely stay here again.

Neighbors friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was the extra cleaning fee for our small dog and no extra cleaning done from last pets and renters. Lots of hair, a medicine, flip flop, etc. under the bed. 30 minutes of cleaning bin of vacuum from accumulated dog hair, etc. Property management made excuse of quick turnover - not acceptable.

Charming cottage

We enjoyed our beach getaway in this little cottage but there are things to be aware of. If you’re looking for upscale, this is not your place. Although the main bedroom/bathroom and living area are spacious, the house lacks modern updates. The furniture is all outdated and not super comfortable to lounge on and all the mattresses MUST be replaced. The main BR king bed mattress has dips from excessive wear causing pretty bad backaches by week’s end. We rotated/flipped it during our stay, to no better result. The upstairs mattresses are also worn. The location is an easy 2 minute bike ride to the Goulds Inlet beach access which we enjoyed a lot. The access at the house is a 10-minute hike thru the dunes and around a lagoon and is not conducive to hauling beach gear across. The A/C worked well for us and the temps were comfortable. Four stars for cleanliness because of age of construction but we saw no glaring offenses. We would return with assurances of new mattresses throughout.

Nothing good to say about the property

The failure on my part was not paying enough attention to negative reviews. In my defense I was in a rush to find a place that would allow a larger dog. Also, suspiciously many of the positive reviews appear to be duplicates, but perhaps are fed in from questionnaire responses externally from direct rentals from management company's site. This place is extremely outdated, and tiny. It is nestled in the midst of very nice and what appears to be well maintained properties. The owners of this one take the cheap route to maintain the place. Examples: lamps in the main bedroom didn't work - not the bulbs, the lamps themselves did not turn on due to bad switches. Plateware and utensils were ragged and some were actually dirty - as in not cleaned from previous use. All furniture was ragged, stains on cloth seating, generally everything somewhat dirty. The mini split air conditioner did not work in the bedroom, which I found previously reported as "faulty" in an earlier review but did not work at all for us. As a result bedroom was very hot and had to rely on fans to try to pull cooler air from living room. Lots of insects inside the unit. Property management was responsive about the AC problem and tried to be helpful, they tried sending for AC repair but could not be completed in the time we would be there, so we decided to check out early and management offered a partial refund - I have not yet received it but it's only been 1 day.
