Gulf Winds East 23 Professionally Managed by Newman-Dailey

The newly refurbished interior of Gulf Winds 23 is so ‘on point’ and HGTV worthy that you’ll find yourself sighing “ahh...this is the place to be.” Plus, all the sought after amenities- a spacious, sun-lit pool deck steps from the front door; beach access that is only a minute’s walk away and a coveted location close to restaurants and shops along the beach road- are all right here!

Amazingly, those fabulous facets aren’t the best part of this Destin beach vacation rental! The detail in this place is so alluring- the kitchen features stainless steel appliances, white shiplap and an iridescent blue backsplash; the first floor living room boasts a wine fridge, cool abstract beach art and plenty of seating; and the two bedrooms upstairs each have a private bathroom, balconies and magazine-worthy linens and decor.

Yes, this is a place where you can really relax! A place that strikes the balance of beach decor done right and all the necessities of home. Moreover, Gulf Winds East is a quiet, townhome community that is situated nice and close to the beach, pristine golf courses, several outdoor malls and beachfront restaurants.

Custom built bunk beds in guest bedroom

New furniture and mattresses in Guest bedroom

We require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays.
We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.

We have stayed at Gulf winds East several times in the past. It is within walking distance of several restaurants, bars, and shops. And the best part it is right across the street from the beach.

WiFi was funky, had 2 visits to fix. Needed ceiling fans tightened they were really wobbly There were no screens on doors. Pans were old for cooking. Carpets were very dirty. Location was good

Great beach vacation condo

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. Nicely decorated with a beach feel and close to the beach and pool. As others mentioned, the upstairs does get warm, especially the bunk bed room during the day, but we kept curtains closed during day, ran ceiling fans and closed some downstairs vents. The kitchen sink is leaking under the sink (and sink stopper is there in a nasty dish rack). Also couldn’t figure out how to turn on one of lamps in living room (may need lightbulb replaced) so was a little dark at night. Otherwise highly recommend. Great setup for our family of 4 with young kids.

2 Bedroom condo close to beach access

Comfortable condo, with access to pool and a short walk to a private beach access. Decorated nicely, however, must be able to climb stairs to bedrooms. Bathrooms are small, but it is 2 1/2 bath. No view of beach. Easy access to pool. Eating area for 4 people only. Rest of condo is comfortable and clean.

Excellent beachside getaway

This property was so cute and perfect for our family. The beach access was close and we were mere steps from the pool. Only negative was that the upstairs was definitely warmer than the downstairs, probably due to there not being enough ductwork. (At least that’s what my home inspector hubby said) We closed most of the vents downstairs and kept the ceiling fans going at night to keep us comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Great rental , remodel was so nice and can’t beat location !

The property was so nice on the inside it looked recently remodeled . The location was great, very family friendly and Beach access , The only complaint we had was it was warm upstairs in the bedrooms and freezing downstairs. We did get a small fan for bedroom during our stay but other than that issue condo was great !!

Property Manager did Nothing

So the first night we stayed we realized out outside shower was not working. I called the property manager and advised them about it. They said they would have an inspector out that day. No one showed up. The next morning I got a call from them to ask if the shower had been fixed. I advised them that no one showed up but that my husband being a Handyman tried to fix the problem himself with no resolution. I also let them know the master bedroom AC was not blowing any air at all. I think they already knew that since we found a box fan in the closet. The property manager apologized for no one coming out but send that this time she would send the maintenance man not the inspector. Again no one showed up that night or the next. I called the property manager once we arrived back home and settled and was told someone would call me back but never heard back. The unit itself was beautiful and location was great being across the street from the beach but seems like once your there they could care less how your stay is going.

The outside shower, just like the pool, sidewalks, and parking areas are “common areas” and as such, are maintained and serviced by the property’s homeowners’ association. We were following up to make sure that your call was indeed handled by the homeowner’s association, which our team contacted on your behalf. You were correct, the Master Bedroom was not blowing air conditioning because there was a leak in the ductwork. We appreciate you alerting us during your stay, and it has now been fixed. We appreciated having you as our guest and are disappointed that you felt we did not care about your vacation experience. Our goal for almost 35 years has been to give every guest the vacation of their dreams. We hope you will give us another opportunity to earn your loyalty and welcome you back to the beach.
