About this property

Mountain Rental Getaway

Quiet mountain, 3 bedroom home with over 1200 square feet right next to a beautiful mountain creek. Wrap around porch, with large master bedroom(King), private second bedroom(king) and new 3rd private bedroom with queen with bed. All bedrooms are on the second level, the full size sofa bed is on the first level. The living room and master bedroom have "faux" fireplaces for ambience, with electric inserts. Bathrooms updated recently, on over 2 acres of land with wildlife all around. Large trees scatter the property. Only 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge parkway and 22 minutes from downtown Asheville. If your trying to find peace and quiet this is the place for you. We are 10 minutes from Ingles Grocery store and Starbucks! Sleeps up to 8. Fire Pit is a hit with our guests.

In response to reviews, effective August 2023 we have changed cleaners and should any guest have any cleaning issue, we will make it right!

We loved this home. Great semi-private location, with quiet and lovely views. The home was stocked well with towels and other necessities. I think the kitchen could use more cutlery since we ran out of spoons (there were 2 and we needed 4). Overall, the home was clean and a great stay!The host was very responsive and courteous! I would highly recommend this cute home for your next stay!

Candler house

Awesome stay. Peaceful and relaxing. Great location. House is close to everything. Asheville, Biltmore, hiking, waterfalls, Blue Ridge Parkway. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall the place was great. Previous house guests did not abide by laws, so the smell was left for us. One issue with downstairs air but was fixed by the time we were back to the house.

NC mountain get away

Nice surroundings in the woods. Really needed to have some deep cleaning done. And repairs done. Also could use a water filtering system to eliminate sediment. Property owner who we met was very nice.

Great little house in a great location

This little house was perfect for my family (2 adults, 2 children). The property is in a nice and quiet locatIon. We met some of the neighbors who were just wonderful! My children, especially my son, enjoyed the setting and the creek in the front yard. We had some turkeys visit one afternoon and enjoyed watch them peck around the yard. This is a location we would love to return to someday.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway

I had a wonderful stay for a long weekend away with my sister. This was the perfect place for us. Loved the location! Close enough to Asheville to drive for food or shopping. Also good for a day trip to Cherokee. Really enjoyed sitting on the porch and deck and listening to the sound of the stream down the hill. Was very private but not totally secluded. Would definitely visit again.

The pics arent accurate as to whats inside the house (kitchen table, furniture) but its still a nice place to stay. Wild turkeys were out daily. Kids loved the game room and the creek. Property manager was easy to contact and friendly.

Wonderful Get Away

Lovely mountainside home with all the extras we needed. The drive to Asheville was 20 minutes or so. Good restaurants and galleries in downtown Asheville. So sad for the destruction in town after Hurricane Helene. We got out ahead of the storm. This is a very nice property and Stephen, the owner is responsive and helpful. Would stay there again.

Great stay!

Quiet and clean, easy check in, was able to do both nature things and city things. Firepit and grill were put to good use. Started most mornings with breakfast/coffee on the top deck. Groceries ~15minutes away. Able to have the Olympics on in the background as we hung out at the property.

Peace and quiet

Loved the way we felt surrounded by the mountains. It was so serene and peaceful. Close enough to the city to enjoy it, far enough away to escape. In town for a softball tournament, we opted for a house instead of a hotel. It was a winner. Would stay here again and recommend to all. Very spacious inside and out and the game room was a hit!

Everything we had hoped for

The location was perfect for our trip. The area was quiet and peaceful, and we got to see wild turkeys! We went to Asheville and Mt Mitchell and came back to a comfortable cabin. The firewood was well seasoned, and our questions were quickly answered. The cabin wasn't booked the day we left so we were allowed a late check out, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property and can see myself going back again.

Amazing Retreat

Beautiful and serene. Nothing is far from this place, but it is quiet and secluded with a creek flowing I’m front of the property adding ambiance. Morning sunrise views are spectacular. Wi-Fi was good. Kitchen had all necessary pots, pans, dishes and silverware. This is true country living with some modern updates! Will return!
