Our cabin is located midway between Stratton Mountain and Mt Snow, and has easy access to the VAST snowmobile trails. The cabin has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The open-concept living room and kitchen is a great place to relax with friends and family after a day on the slopes. A second living room, in the basement, is a great place for the kids to hang out.
The cabin also has a recently remodeled 3-season porch and big back deck that overlooks a large flat yard that is perfect for lawn games when the weather is nice. There is also a hot tub that is private for cabin guests.

Spent a long ski weekend with the family. Was a great cabin, we loved the hot tub and the privacy! Interior layout was perfect. Look forward to a return visit.
Daughter arrived ahead of us with our grandkids, they were very excited with the space My wife and I arrived shortly afterwards but was easyLoved the club house /pool house. Must be assume in the winter month Will come again
Visited VT for the first time to view fall foliage and this cabin exceeded expectations. As they say, location, location, location. Easy access to VT 30 and 100 provided excellent opportunities to view the foliage and explore rural towns along the way for day trips.
Beautiful, big cabin in a great location.
We loved the fireplace in the back yard and the huge one in the living room!
We played Haystack Golf course which is 20 min drive away and explored Wilmington. Snow Republic was a great brewery find down the road. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the hot tub on multiple occasions.
Celebrating the end of our busy summer season we could not have found a better spot!
Thank you for your hospitality!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Despite pleasant wall art, gentle attention definitely is needed to the cabin. Main living space is run down, the interior kitchen cabinets are messy and dirty, microwave is old, and toilet seat on the main floor is peeling and scratchy. Spider webs everywhere on outside porch.
I myself was unable to attend this vacation due to an emergency situation. My 22 year old daughter and her partner enjoyed the cabin on my behalf. They unlocked the cabin with me on the phone and the first thing out of my daughter's mouth was "Oh my God Mom, this place is GORGEOUS!" They had a wonderful time building fires in the evening, antique hunting at a local flea market, distillery touring, historic bridge photo ops, mountain hiking and so much more. Only 2.2 hours to New York they informed me, although they did skip out on the city because they were enjoying Vermont so much. Property owners were helpful in communication and someday I hope to get up to this property myself from muggy Florida in the summer!
Quaint little cabin in a beautiful setting! Overall the cabin was everything represented and very comfortable. The only issue with the property is the quality/quantity of necessities expected and needed when renting a VRBO. All the "support" items - pans, knives, utensils, cups, etc - seemed to be a mish-mash of items the owners had used to their life's end in their own home, and then stocked into the cabin. Also there were NO supplies - wrap, aluminum foil, tupperwear, etc. Cute cabin for sure, but you need to hit a Target or Costco and spend about $300 to stock it out - then it would be perfect!
PS You should set your lock system to disable with a little cushion (say 30 minutes) on the 11am checkout. We walked out and locked the door then found a coffee cup in our rental car. We tried to return it to the cabin at 11:07am and the lock was disabled.

Dear Brian,
We are glad you enjoyed the cabin and that you and your family had a good stay in Vermont. To your specific concerns:
Dishes - When we purchased the home this winter it was sold to us furnished, which included the kitchenware. We did replace some of the old dishes, however we also kept many items, as we personally find it helpful when vacationing with friends to have backups. Given your feedback, we’ll look into updating the backups.
Supplies - We do our best to make sure things like aluminum foil, cling wrap, etc, are available to renters, but our cleaners do not stock these items and since we are not local we don’t always have extra when they run out. As such, we do not advertise or promise that these kitchen items will always be available. As you likely saw our cleaners do ensure toilet paper, paper towels, and guest soaps are available for all stays.
Check-out - We keep a fairly strict check-out time out of respect to our cleaners and their time--when renters stay late, it impacts their schedule. That being said, we understand that things get forgotten and we are always happy to allow people back in the cabin if they ask. We wish you had reached out to let us know, we would have been happy to let you back in!

Fabulous Gateaway
My family and I had a fabulous time staying at Erin's Cottage. It was conveniently located between Mount Snow and Stratton Ski Resorts. Erin was excellent communicating with us and her cottage was well supplied with everything we needed for our stay. Her place is far larger than the pictures depict and my kids loved sleeping in the loft. I would highly recommend staying at Erin's place; we definately plan on returning next year.

Charming, cozy, and clean cabin in Vermont
Really enjoyed my stay at Leonard's Log Cabin. The fireplace was big and cozy, the entire house was very clean, the shower had great water pressure, and the hosts were very nice and attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a little getaway in Vermont.

About the host
Hosted by Erin
My husband Mike and I live in Boston, but we love to get away and enjoy the mountains.
Why they chose this property
We love this area because there is something and unique to do every season. Whether it be skiing in winter, hiking in the spring/summer, or leaf-peeping in the fall--Vermont never disappoints.
What makes this property unique
The big deck and flat backyard makes this property just as enticing in the summer as ski season :)
