Excellent location with a wonderful lake view seen through a wall of windows. Inside is like new with everything needed to enjoy your stay. Wonderful find that you won’t regret!
The house was very conveniently located . Loved the lake. The house itself was very comfortable. Communication with the caretaker was easy. Lots to see & do in St. Augustine. Would stay here again.
Perfect location for a quiet and relaxing trip with a nice host on premise ready to give locale suggestions.. Off-the-beaten-path but walking distance to great restaurants, tours and shops. Enjoyed the walking trail around the lake.
House is located on a lake walking distance to downtown, restaurants, museums. Property was beautiful, clean and pretty well equipped for a comfortable stay. Perking was easy. Host was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. This house provided for a very relaxing stay.
This listing is just as it appears. So beautiful, centrally located, and in such a quiet area. We enjoyed sitting out on the back deck with a gentle breeze and watching all the wildlife. We also loved coming back to this house after a great long day exploring St. Augustine to the clam ambiance. The host is also very knowledgeable about the area and had some great recommendations. This was my first VRBO booking experience and I would 100% book this property again.
The property is located very close to old town and attractions, not even a ten minute walk.
The house has beautiful open floor plan with two good sized bedrooms and two baths, the house was very clean and had all the essentials for cooking and just hanging out with a nice back porch that overlooks the lake, we visit St Augustine often and have rented several different VRBO’s, this is one of our favorites.

Home was very unique and comfortable. First rate accommodations and Elliott was so helpful. My daughter lost a ring and he found it and offered to mail it to us. Excellent service

It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. The house was left in great condition. You guys are welcome to come back anytime.
Loved our 3-night stay at this property! House was immaculately clean, beds and furnishing very comfortable and kitchen adequately stocked. Location was an easy walk to downtown St Augustine. Our host was friendly, easy to communicate with and offered good suggestions for dining. The only suggestion I would offer is some sort of luggage rack, chair, ottoman in master bedroom for luggage.
Also, no need for an alarm clock as there is a ROOSTER right next door that will let you know when the sun comes up!! ;D
Overall a really nice stay and would definitely recommend to others!!
We stayed two nights at this charming little cottage. The home was clean and comfortable. The porch view is beautiful onto the water. The deck and patio furniture could use some TLC, not quite as pictured. The home was well stocked with quality towels, paper products, and kitchen tools. There wasn’t anything we found missing. Coffee maker is a drip coffee and not a keurig so bring some coffee grounds. Elliott, the host, was very welcoming. No need for an alarm clock as the rooster will let you know what time to rise (which we loved). Close proximity to town and we were able to walk to the fort and St George Street. It’s a fun little town and Elliott's restaurant recommendations were excellent.
We stayed at the cottage for 4 nights, as a very quick getaway. Not only were all the amenity’s wonderful, but the cottage itself was decorated nicely, the proximity to downtown made our stay quite walkable. The neighborhood is lovely, the dining & coffee choices were great along with friendly staff. Our greeting concierge; JB was a great help in getting us settled, along with providing dining tips, & places to see. Whilst he is onsite; above the separate garage, he was never burdensome, but always available for a quick hello, as well as being able to offer suggestions if we needed any direction. The only complaint is not about the facilities, but rather the signs around the neighborhood, complaining about the rental properties, & a few comments when walking in this area about being out of towners. Frankly, given the makeup of the neighborhood, I’m a bit shocked at the lack of understanding that having rentals which are well maintained, never mind updated, adds to the home values, so the comments are quite boorish. We live in Bradenton, & have quite a number of rentals around us, so the attitudes encountered by a pair of 60 something’s were dumb.
The house is very nice and comfortable. Property is beautiful.
Host was so helpful, suggested local sites. Walking distance to downtown. Would definitely return.
Excellent expérience. Loved the house- it was great!

Why they chose this property
This unique 1928 property was redesigned and rehabbed by the host. Brazilian walnut flooring, pecky cypress ceiling and Havana ceiling fans are just a few of the custom touches. There is high speed WiFi and Cable with 120+ channels (including ESPN). On the waterfront is a beautiful deck, the street side has a nice covered porch with a big table and chairs, overhead lighting and extra seating. Also features a brick fireplace (sorry but it is nonfunctional and strictly for looks).
