We had a fantastic stay at this property! The location was perfect, very close to Grand Lake and RMNP. Beautiful views from the deck and a very peaceful location. Would definitely stay here again!
I’ve never had a better view in Colorado and absolutely loved the house, the deck, the plants, the decorations, the privacy. Just an all around amazing place to stay and one I hope to visit again!
The spacious home is beautiful and well appointed. From the enormous deck - the scene of mountains, forest, and the lake in a secluded setting was outstanding. The hosts were very responsive. We hope to return!
We enjoyed morning coffee and evening bbqs with the beautiful vistas from the patio. We also used the house as a home base, enjoying trips to the RMNP, Steamboat Springs and Florrisant. Dave and Carla were great hosts; their attention to detail for guest needs was great and they were easy to contact and attentive to any other need that arose.
My wife, our newborn daughter and our dog stayed in Carla's and Dave's home for a week and we had a wonderful stay. During Dave's quick and thorough walkthrough when checking in we were blown away by the huge window from facing the mountains and the surrounding lakes. We felt so at home in this place ! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck enjoying the views and the serenity. Grand Lake is a great area to wind down and this house even more so!
We would highly recommend this property. The house was the perfect place for our family Christmas. The setting is as beautiful as it gets. The home itself is very spacious and well-appointed. The owners were great (helpful and responsive). We’d love to come back next time we’re in Grand Lake.
We had great access to many great trails. We suggest the Columbine Lake Trail for family with teens or the Strawberry Lake Trail for family with Kids. We also went on a Day Pass at the YMCA, Snow Mountain Ranch (hiking, swimming, rock wall climbing, lunch in the cafeteria, minigolf, tennis, ect.). You cannot beat the view from this house for quiet relaxation. Great hosts, location and home.
We had an amazing time. The house was beautiful with beautiful views. We went hiking, to the lake, saw moose and elk. My 2 daughters and grandchildren went with me, they all agreed, Grand Lake and the surrounding areas are beautiful and we were busy every day of the trip. Thank you for this opportunity.
We had a delightful time at this well appointed home. Beautiful views from every window. I especially enjoyed the reading nook. It’s location was very convenient for whatever we chose to do that day. And there is always the deck for sunrises and moonrise’s! Mule deer, Moose, coyote, hawks, eagles and of course, the resident hummingbirds were a joy to watch. Beautiful gardens inside and outside the home.
It was lovely to relax in nature. Loved sitting on the deck at night and seeing the moon move across the sky.
Saw a couple moose!! So cool. Easy access to Arapahoe National Forest.
Pictures don’t do it justice, the deck views are expansive and beautiful. The house was bright and had everything we needed. Our host was nice and responsive. One note is the bunk bed mattress was thin for an adult. Still, it was a great location, peaceful, close to Grand Lake town center and to hikes and water sports. Would love to come back!
Photos do no justice to the views through the huge windows of this property! You can do as much or as little as you want here between hiking RMNP or just taking in the solitude of the mountain views from the deck. Very quiet location, but close enough to activities to keep busy. Our week went way too fast!
Our stay at the Secluded Mountain Home with Stunning Lake Views was heavenly! It was everything we hoped for and more! Very peaceful, being set away from the main highway, but, not with a long drive to get to the home. Every morning we enjoyed looking down at the corral below and watching the horses grazing in the pastures. We saw a large bull moose as we drove past the pastures one morning! Large picture windows from the main floor and also from the master bedroom in the loft above allowed us to enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake and mountains from inside. We would've had the best vacation experience if we simply sat out on the expansive deck, decorated with beautiful potted flowers, and enjoyed the amazing view. But, we took advantage of the location to explore Rocky Mountain National Park - entrance from the west side and close to this home was perfect! We also enjoyed strolling through picturesque Grand Lake Village and hiking to nearby Adams Falls and lovely meadows beyond. We didn't have enough time to enjoy getting out on the chain of lakes, but, on our next visit we certainly will! Our hosts were great to recommend the Highland Marina for water craft rental. This is definitely a 5 Star experience and we appreciate the hosts' friendly and responsive communication before and throughout our stay!
We always plan a trip in the summer with the family. We wanted to find a place in a great location that was accommodating to families and our dog. I couldn’t ask for a better place. The views are amazing and the location is close to everything but you still have seclusion if you want to relax. The owner Dave is extremely responsive and helpful with any questions. We will be back!
