We really enjoyed this house. The private access to the beach was super convenient especially with having dogs. The nights were chilly so we had a fire in the fire place both nights. Very cozy! Would definitely stay here again

The price might seem a bit high for the actual property itself, which is a bit older and could use some updates. However, what you are getting is an amazing ocean view with private access. Please note that the rock steps down to the beach are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The home was clean with everything you would need for a few days stay. We enjoyed our time here.

The views were incredible! The property is run down. Not for seniors, no handrails anywhere. Still our trip was good!

Thank you for highlighting the views, and I’m pleased your trip was good overall. We appreciate your feedback about the home’s condition and the need for more handrails. Can you share more with us about where you'd like to see improvements? We do have a hand rail on the only staircase in the home, but where else would one have been helpful? We are very open to additional feedback as we are always committed to improvement. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the 5-star review! We're glad the home felt cozy, was clean, and that you enjoyed the view. I'm sorry to hear the beach access gave you trouble. We've worked hard to show on the listing that the home's access is via stone steps that don't have a railing. They are very well-constructed and sturdy, but should someone be concerned about them, we've also noted on the listing where the nearest public access point is, too. Thank you for choosing Meredith Lodging; we hope to host you again.

Property was located right next to the ocean. Interior was somewhat aged, had poor lighting in kitchen. Overall, was clean, neat & comfortable. Exterior could have used some maintenance. The blackberries were entering the deck & starting to overrun the path to beach. Path was also in need of a trim, as the seagrass & bushes are arching across the path. Traffic noise from highway was not an issue. Early check-in rate was outrageous, considering the price of the stay.

Thank you for mentioning the oceanfront setting and that the home was clean and comfortable for you. I appreciate the notes about the dated interior and the dim kitchen lighting — we’ll have maintenance evaluate brighter fixtures and small updates to improve the cooking area. Thank you also for calling out the exterior concerns; the landscaping team will be scheduled to address the overgrowth. Thanks again for the detailed feedback — it helps us improve, and we hope to welcome you back.

This place was absolutely perfect for us! The private beach access and views from the home were incredible. It was a simple, comfortable space that made for some beautiful memories, and we would absolutely love to come back! The only thing I’d mention for future guests is that the stairs up to the loft are quite steep, and the path down to the private beach includes steep, uneven rock steps with some brush along the way. It didn’t take away from our enjoyment at all—we truly loved the entire place—but it’s something to be aware of if you have young children, limited mobility, or anyone who may have difficulty navigating steeper terrain. For us, the beach access was absolutely worth it!!

Thank you for your kind words — I'm so glad the ocean views, private beach access, and comfortable accommodations helped create special memories for your group. We appreciate the note about the loft stairs for future guests and will have the maintenance team inspect the beach steps to make an improvement plan. Thank you for the helpful feedback and for staying with us; we’d welcome you back any time.

Great views and clean house with amazing beach access! I would point out that sleeping up in the loft will be very difficult for most adults and young children and I ended up sleeping in the living room for my own safety. I would rent the house again for sure.

this house was really great for our stay. it's oceanfront with beach access (seems unique for the area from what we could see during our beach walks). the house is a bit rundown probably, for like a HGTV type standard. but if, like us, you're interested in the house for the other things it offers then you won't be disappointed. it was a comfortable stay! we really enjoyed it. wish we could've brought our dog on our trip, she would've loved this place!

The house was delightful. I was disappointed the the stairs were not clearly marked nor was there any kind of railing. We couldn’t get down to the beach. BUT, when we accessed the beach from Lost Creek SP, we finally saw the stairs and where they led. They were very deep so not good for us. But we would rent there again for sure.

Thank you for the review and for choosing Meredith Lodging. We’re so glad you found the house delightful and appreciate the feedback about the stairs. The homeowner specifically designed the stairs down to the beach to be as mobility-friendly as possible, with railings and even steps, and to stand out, with giant boulders marking the way. But we do appreciate you noting your experience with them, that could definitely help other renters prepare accordingly. We are grateful you chose us to host your vacation and hope you come and stay with us again soon.
