Tokyo Fun, From Missing Our Son!

We were visiting Tokyo for the first time to see our son who is stationed in the Air Force there. City is very overwhelming, but we had an amazing time!!! Mt. Fuji was definitely the highlight of our trip:) VRBO was very nice, I'd say central, but I truly don't believe anything is central in that city, lol.

Wonderful house, great location.

Group of 5 adults enjoyed this well located small house in Hiro-o. Quick walk to subway station and many restaurants nearby. Host was wonderful and met us late for a check in. He explained everything well and was extremely polite. Would happily stay again.

Great stay at Hiroo neighborhood

We had a great time at this property. Check in process was smooth with the host. He was also quick to respond when I had questions and was very helpful. Property is very close to multiple restaurants, bakery, coffee shops and 7 Eleven. Only a few minutes away from Hiroo station which made it easy to get to different districts and neighborhoods.

Wonderful Stay

Property location was perfect to use as our hub to explore Tokyo. The list the host provided of points of interest and restaurants in the area was a great addition to our already pinned map spots. The house was clean and all the amenities were spot on. We did have to contact our host as the pullout futon was not working properly, but he came promptly and made a repair so we had no further issues through our stay.Check in and out were easily done. Would absolutely book again!

The location and communication was excellent

Communication was great from pretrip to during the stay. The house is close to anything you need, including the train station. So glad we didn’t have to pull around our luggage too far from the train. The house was clean and it was nice to have 2 toilets for 7 of us. The beds and pillows were more comfortable than the hotel we had just been in. We were given wonderful recommendations for food, which we tried! I would love to go back again someday. Thank you

Cute, convenient place

Great owner, great location. Cute house with all the amenities we needed. Note the bedroom on the top floor is not full height, so that may not work for tall or claustrophobic people. The location and Hiroo subway station are a fantastic, safe, quiet place to use as your “home base” in Tokyo. Our host was very helpful and communicative! Thank you!

Perfect location and host was wonderful!

My children and I were in Japan visiting my son who is studying in Japan for the semester. Being so close to the Hiroo train station was so convenient! Beautiful Japanese garden nearby to walk around. Great restaurants in the area! Our host met us to help us get into the property and gave us some great recommendations as well! He was very accommodating! My family and I highly recommend this awesome property!

Great location and comfortable stay

The house is located very conveniently to Hiroo station and the shopping street with lots of restaurant and other shopping options nearby. It is easy to get around Tokyo from this central area. The stairs are steep but were fine for us. Our family of five fitted well with two in each bedroom, and one in the attic (low roof), although couch space was contested. Heating was effective and all was great. Thank you.

Wonderful location

House was clean and comfortable for our group of 4 adults and two young children. Communication with our host was great. Air conditioning worked well in the hot weather. Loved the location. Truly amazing bakeries in the area.

Great house and location.

Quiet, clean, comfortable, and convenient. The house is located in a quiet side street close to a subway station and lots of shopping and food. This was a major advantage as we were traveling with our octogenarian parents. On days we wanted to relax, the living room and kitchen provided ample space to do just that. The property owner and manager were responsive, professional, and helpful with even the smallest questions. We would highly recommend staying here.

Tokyo stay

The home was perfect for our group of 7. It is walking distance to shops and restaurants and the neighborhood was quiet yet offered plenty to do. The host met us upon check in and walked us to the home for initial check in. Public transportation was also close and easy to use.

Great Grandmother plus 3 teens

I booked this trip for my grandmother to visit her siblings and introduce the next generation to their extended Japanese family. We had a wonderful stay at the Hiroo house. Downstairs accommodations were perfect for my 91 year old grandmother and upstairs accommodations were big enough for her three teenage great grandchildren. Hibiya line access was right across the street and rental car facilities are a short walk. Many conveniences and options for eating.

Great location. Plenty of room. Family of 5 with grown teenager17, 19 and 22 year old. Easy to access subway, shops just around the corner. Host meet us to go over house amenities and was a great communicator.

Great location. The best of Japanese-style living.

Our family of 5 stayed in the property for a week. We were greeted by the host who did an excellent job of educating us about the neighborhood and in and outs of living in a Japanese house. He was friendly and accommodating and continued to give us occasional hints and suggestions throughout the week. The property is great. As is the case with all but the most luxurious Japanese properties, it is "narrow" and smaller than typical American houses. This leads to a focus on efficiency and maximizing how the space is utilized. There was more than enough space for comfortable living and sleeping in all the rooms. My sons (middle schooler and grade schooler) loved the loft bedroom that felt like a "cool fort." Climate control split units were available in every room and worked flawlessly. The shower/tub was great with water pressure I wish I could have brought home with me. All these great things aside, the location was the best part of staying here. It is a literal one minute walk to the Hiro-o subway station and other amenities (7-11, etc). We ordered a number of things to bring home from Amazon Japan and there was a pickup locker about 4 minutes away in a Natural Lawson. There is a Rico's supermarket about 5 minutes away, which was a less expensive option for food. There is a coin laundry right around the corner, but we found another we liked more about one minute further away (Google ぐるぐるランドリー南麻布広尾駅前店 to find). Overall we could not have been more pleased with the stay.

The property was perfect for our needs. The neighborhood had everything we needed: shopping, transportation, walkability. Very quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean and large enough for 7 people. The host was very responsive. He responded promptly to any requests. He met us at the property and showed us around the house.

Love Hiroo

Our stay was 2 couples and the layout worked great. Two bedrooms and a toilet upstairs and the LR, kitchen, shower and another toilet downstairs. That way you could hang out downstairs without bothering early or late sleepers. The kitchen was nicely appointed, easy to have breakfast there every morning. Coffee maker was great and appreciated the coffee filters. Plenty of towels and great to have hand towels in all of the toilets and kitchen. Having a washer was convenient and the balcony to dry the clothes quickly worked well. The location was outstanding. Fancy grocery store and a 7/11 across the street. Subway station around the corner. Fun restaurants to try, loved Tiger Goyza. Would recommend and stay there again.

Fantastic Neighborhood

This property offered a lot of space, comfortable beds and a very excellent location close to the subway lines (2 minute walk), Starbucks, and many restaurants, a grocery store and an amazing park (all 1-4 minutes away). Our host was very accommodating and helpful. The home, as the pictures show has older furnishings and decor, but everything was clean, comfortable and in good working order. There was an air conditioner in every room. For two friends travelling together, we had our own space and nice shared spaces, a kitchen where we prepared breakfast only, a washing machine and 1 1/2 bathrooms. It worked perfectly for us!!

Amazing tucked away house in great neighbouthood

Owner helpfully showed us the location, would be hard to find otherwise, but is just tucked in off a strip of shops / cafes in Hiroo near Starbucks. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. The Book-off is good, nearby sushi shop and Tiger Gyoza very tasty. So close to Hiroo station and convenience stores, east to get around. The house is well equipped and has 3 bedrooms, one being up in the attic with a low roof (approx 1.5 m). The beds were fairly comfortable. There is no double bed though you could probably push 2 together. The bathroom is tiny but functional. There is a second toilet in the middle floor. Good wifi. Please note the stairs are very steep!! The owner was very good to communicate with when we had a problem and he speaks fluent English. The problem was fixed very quickly (a running toilet). Overall a great stay, we enjoyed coming “home” whilst we were there.
