Greg and Sigi were the most helpful and kind hosts. Our accomodation was cozy, the breakfast was great and not to mention the area itself....so beautiful.
The hosts were very helpful when our days didn't go to plan. The location is beautiful, the property is well-maintained and marked from the road. We would definitely stay again.
We had a very good time here. The building is over 200 years old so don’t expect a jacuzzi or something but you get a lot of character in return. Greg and his wife are very kind and we were very well looked after. Food was very good as well and the place was very quiet.
We had a lovely mini break here. Owners couldn’t be helpful enough. Supper and breakfast very good & far better value for money than eating out. We had a lovely trek round on the ponies & had a go at fishing. Very peaceful & quiet.
Greg and zigi are lovly hosts. Anything you need they are always around to help. Had a brilliant time on the water with the boats and we all really enjoyed the fishing even though we have never fished before... greg was very patient and knowledgeable.. easy to find and a real gem of a place soo much to do and see, cant wait to return.. trying to book another stay even before our first had finished.. beautiful comfy and welcoming.. not just a fishing cottage pefectly suitable for a family retreat.. good location and welcoming hosts what more could you want...
Sticky carpets, sofa was absolute hammock, tv did not work, no double bed.. property manager’s reaction was dismissive saying “oh you can put them together if u want”. Beds were disaster, both bedroom beds mattresses were in bad state. The pillows were as flat that’s it’s insulting to call it a pillow… if u move slightly in bed, it made noise. Very sad & highly disappointing place

There is no mentioning of a double bed in this cottage in the ad , so why you take it for granted that there has to be one ,nobody knows…when you asked me why there isn’t one , I suggested to join the 2 single beds in one of the bedrooms and asked you at the time if everything is alright , you replied “All good -no complains” .Somehow this is not reflected in your review,… .I do not see the need to reject all your false claims ,but as you are complaining about a sticky carpet , we must say that in35 years of renting cottages , no-one ever has left the kitchen behind in such a bad state. The grease ,fat , sauces etc. was all over the tiles , sink , oven ,frying pans etc .and it took us 7hours to get the kitchen back into a clean condition. You even put the cuttlery , mugs and plates back into the drawers in a dirty state and at the same time you have got the guts to write such a review .Shame on you!

Cramped conditions
Poorly designed. Tight accommodation. Shabby furnishings. Lack of basic facilities ie toilet paper , towels etc. overpriced for accommodation and not suitable for four people. Even with the two of us it was difficult to watch the tv as one of the two seater settees faced away from the set. The bathroom was difficult to use as the door opened on to the toilet pan so have to squeeze by and shut before use. The stairs were steep and not convenient if you are not sure footed.

Dear Andrew , I waited a bit to answer your terrible review of the cottage you have stayed in , but I have to admit that my anger hasn't eased yet . We are renting cottages for 33 years now and I guess we can claim that we must have got a couple of things right , as we are still in business and still enjoying the company of most of our guests.... As I have passed your cottage a few times per day , we had a lot of small chats and ,I have to say , nice ones at that- no sign of any discomfort or even anger-hence my good review of you as a guest . We even agreed on your departure day , that next time around , you should bring a fishing rod , and we both joked about the fact , that permission from your better half most likely wouldn't be granted....Sure I never got the chance to talk to your wife , as she was stuck in front of the TV from early in the morning. . Now , nothing to do with me or the cottage-whatever floats your boat...
I have however to set a few things right as ,you are misleading future customers by claiming the property is not suitable for 4 persons , which is absolutely wrong . Beside the fact that you have seen all the photos of the layout and furnishing of the house before your booking , I have to say that there is a reason , you could not sit together on one of the 2 sofas , in order to watch TV and the same reason applies to the fact that you have found it hard to enter the bathroom as the door opens only to 90% . The staircase as such has absolute standard measures and was built by a local carpenter and if you had issues going up and down , you should know best yourself where this " not sure footed "condition of yours originates ... Sure our 216 year old trad.irish cottage can not compete with the splandour and greatness of your own semi detached but talking to me openly about your disliking of our " shabby" furniture , would possibly have answered a few questions that we now have and none of our previous customers have noticed-going by their reviews ....The cherry on the icing however is your claim that the cottage at €22,50 per night and per person is overpriced--no need to comment on this....!
