This was a very pleasant property for a relaxing country stay and easy access to local amenities in Bantry. There were only three of us so it felt spacious with ample bedrooms and bathrooms that would accommodate six. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a lovely view and a nice enclosed wood burning fireplace. We would definitely come again!

The cottage was clean and comfortable and in a quiet rural location. It was a great place to relax after a full day of sightseeing or when we just needed some downtime. The host is excellent and answered questions promptly. We will definitely stay here again if we ever have the opportunity to come back!

Had a Fabulous holiday at this property. Ideal location for peace and quiet as well as a launch pad to tour the south West coast. Highly recommend this property - ideal for dogs

The cottage was absolutely lovely, with a wonderful view, check in was easy and we were met by the host Jack on arrival (who is a true gentleman). Kathleen was in easy contact throughout the booking process also, and answered any questions promptly (as it was our first time using VRBO).Lots of extras, condiments, tin foil etc in the kitchen that we could use, only downside was water pressure in upstairs bathroom wasn’t strong enough.Unfortunately whilst we were there, there was a problem with having no electricity, due to new solar panels being fitted previously. However this was through no fault of the hosts and Jack & his family including his grandson, were very apologetic and went above and beyond to rectify the problem, which they did, even offering alternative accommodation. We had a great time, wonderful cottage, beautiful scenic place & such a lovely family, we would love to stay there again., and will definitely be back :-)

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage in Bantry. We were welcomed by a cozy fire and the place was clean and charming. We loved the kitchen and enjoyed cooking and dining together there. It had everything needed. Walks around and the views out of each window were beautiful. The bathtub was welcome during a gusty storm. I would stay again. Great for family. This cottage is a wonderful place to stay and an excellent base for exploring West Cork. Although there were only two of us, it would easily and comfortably accommodate up to six people. Kathleen is a warm and welcoming host, and the cottage felt cosy from the moment we arrived. Visiting in December, we were greeted by a warm living room, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree creating a festive atmosphere, and a lit fireplace that made the space especially inviting. Very “hygge,” as we say in Denmark. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone.

lovely stay in Ballylickey

The location was perfect for us not too far from Cronins shop or Bantry town. Plenty to do around the locality. If anything was needed in house Kathleen got it sorted . Enjoyed our trip will be back again.

Good location

We enjoyed our visit. The property was okay apart from very uncomfortable sofa and chairs in the lounge. The location is excellent ad is the outdoor space.

Secluded Hideaway

Secluded and yet within ten minutes of town and Bantry Bay. Well equipped and comfortable property. Great base to travel from. Property owners very helpful if needed.

Loved that it was located in country and how peaceful and relaxing it was. Definitely need a car. Had beautiful sunrises and listening to birds as drinking morning coffee. We even had the local cows and cats come visit us! The hosts responded quickly when needed. Overall this was a great place for my spouse and I to celebrate our 25th anniversary while enjoying Ireland with our friends!
