About this property

Wasaga Beach Waterfront 2 bedroom Cottage - Ash Lane Cottages

Nestled between the lazy waters of the Nottawasaga River and the sparkling beaches of Georgian Bay, this cottage is in the perfect location! In just a few minutes you can have your chair set up on the beautiful sandy shore of Beach 2. Relax, swim, and have a picnic. Or, if shopping is more your style then take a short stroll down the boardwalk to Beach 1, where you'll find everything from bathing suits to ice cream.
If sand isn't your thing, tie a floatie to the dock and spend your day floating on the river. You could also try your hand at fishing, or simply feeding the ducks.
When you need a bit of a down time, sit at your picnic table and watch the kids play in the enclosed play area. It's centrally located for easy viewing.
Enjoy the evening atmosphere by relaxing by the firepit and roasting marshmallows, or sitting on the dock and watching the moonlight sparkle on the water.
Whatever you decide to do, you won't be disappointed!

About the host

Hosted by Jackie Martin

Host profile image
My name is Jackie Martin. My husband Paul and I run this family owned cottage court.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I came upon this property by chance. We both grew up in Wasaga Beach when it was a small town, and everyone knew everyone else. My husbands family owned and ran Sudsy Sid's, the only laundromat in Wasaga, and my family owned and ran The Terrace Cottages on the main strip. Our families knew Mary (the original owner of these cottages for 49 years), and her children and many of her grandchildren. So, when Mary was set to retire in 2015, and none of her immediate family was interested, she asked if we would take it over for her. It was an easy decision for us, and we've never looked back...

What makes this property unique

This property is in a fantastic location. It is close enough to Beach area 1 to walk there in about five minutes, but far enough that we can enjoy the more serene setting of a family beach. It also has the unique benefit of being surrounded by water. It is nestled between Georgian Bay to the North, and the Nottawasaga River to the South. It doesn't matter what kind of water activity your family enjoys, it can be enjoyed here!
