Heated Saltwater Plunge Pool - Designed for year-round enjoyment, you'll fall in love with our state-of-the-art plunge pool. The plunge pool is cool and refreshing in the summer and warm as a therapeutic hot tub in the winter, offering the best of both worlds! Measuring 13' x 7' with a depth of 5', our plunge pool has become a favorite amenity among our guests. The pool area is thoughtfully furnished, featuring a dining table and umbrella, along with inviting chaise lounges – creating an idyllic setting for al fresco poolside meals and relaxation.
Outdoor entertaining - The farmhouse is nestled on a picturesque 3-acres with a charming pond view. The slate patio beckons with comfortable lounge seating, while the fire pit surrounded by 10 Adirondack chairs offers the perfect spot to gather and enjoy the pond view. Our personal favorite, the 800 sq ft wraparound porch, is a true gem. Equipped with Sonos outdoor speakers, rocking chairs, a porch swing, a salvaged dining table accommodating 12 guests, and an oversized Weber gas grill, it sets the stage for memorable gatherings and alfresco dining. You are sure to see many deer visitors trekking through the yard!
For added fun and recreation, we provide a basketball hoop in the driveway, along with outdoor games like cornhole. Our outdoor amenities are designed to enhance your stay and create unforgettable moments amidst the beauty of nature.
Dining Room - A large round Restoration Hardware dining table, with seating for 10 guests, takes center stage beneath an exquisite antique crystal chandelier. The ambiance is further enhanced by the woodburning stove, providing an inviting atmosphere for entertaining next to the crackling fire. Immerse yourself in the perfect blend of elegance and rustic charm as you gather around the table, creating cherished memories.
Kitchen - The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs with amenities including a blender, toaster, plenty of serving dishes, drip coffee maker, and Nespresso machine. Picturesque view of the pond, back patio, and firepit from the kitchen window.
1st Floor Bathroom and Laundry - You'll love the touch of vintage luxury with a Louis Vuitton poster tastefully displayed. For your convenience, we've provided a large washer and dryer right here.
Living Room - Our well-lit central living area is the heart of the home, inviting you to gather for games or enjoy a cozy movie night. Sink into the huge Crate & Barrel sectional sofa as you unwind in front of the 65" flat screen TV equipped with Roku for endless entertainment options. On cooler evenings, feel the warmth of the gas fireplace with just a touch of a remote. The space is adorned with unique touches, including a vintage sign from Europe and carefully curated art pieces.
Cabin Room / Den - This charming room is the heart of the original historic log cabin from 1805. It has a queen sleeper sofa, a bar cart, a wood burning Jotul stove, and a cozy reading nook with two swivel arm chairs to enjoy the fire. Feel free to borrow a book from our collection! This room is great for the kids to sleep in because it's a sleeper sofa.
Primary Bedroom 1 - Crate & Barrel King bed with foam mattress, Restoration Hardware dresser and linens, en suite full bathroom 1, and tv. The bay window gives a lovely view of the front yard and the pool area!
Bedroom 2 - A private wing of the house (for guests who like to go to bed early), accessible through the cabin room / den. Brand-new en suite bathroom, en suite tv, and queen bed with foam mattress.
Bedroom 3 - Spacious 3rd floor bedroom with sloping ceilings and designer wallpaper. King bed plus a bonus twin bed. Crystal chandelier. Half bath located just outside the door.
Bedroom 4 - Considered the secondary primary bedroom, it has a king bed with foam mattress and a large en suite bathroom with showstopping tile work and glass shower surround. En suite tv, and desk area that also doubles as a vanity.
Barn Studio - This unique feature of our property allows the perfect set up for social distancing groups or those who prefer more privacy. The barn studio is a few steps on the stone path from the main house to this completely separate building. It features a billiards room and lounge on the first floor that includes a bar cabinet, half bath, and tv to watch the game. Upstairs is a private 700 sf studio apartment. The studio apartment includes a living room with queen sleeper sofa, a dining area, a kitchenette, a full bathroom, full size washer and dryer. A custom barn door that leads to the tranquil 5th bedroom with king size bed. Everything is new and tastefully decorated.
Rustic basement wine cellar - located in the basement of the main house you’ll find a rustic wine cellar (one of the previous owners was a winemaker). The ceilings are low in this old house, so watch your head! This also where the spare full size fridge is located, that you are welcome to use (we keep it unplugged when not in use to conserve energy).
Wifi & Speakers- The farmhouse has Wifi and we have added an Eero mesh network that is connected to Comcast high speed internet, and the home has more than a half dozen Sonos speakers located inside and out.
Heating and Cooling - New HVAC system with multi-zone AC and heat controlled by a Nest thermostat as well as some baseboard heaters. In the winter, the wood burning stoves and fireplace make the home extra cozy. We provide plenty of free firewood for guests!
RENTAL AGREEMENT
A signed rental agreement is required to comply with insurance and liability requirements. The agreement must be completed within 48 hours of receipt to avoid cancellation of the reservation.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
The base rate covers up to 10 guests. An additional fee of $30 per person per night applies for each guest exceeding ten total occupants (including adults, children, and infants).
All additional guests and daytime visitors must be disclosed to and approved by the host in advance.
MINIMUM RENTAL AGE
The primary guest must be at least 25 years old at the time of reservation and must occupy the property for the entire stay.
PETS
Pets, emotional support animals, and service animals must be approved in advance and require completion of a Pet Addendum as part of the rental agreement. Approved pets are subject to a $100 per pet per stay fee. Pets must remain under control, leashed outdoors, and are not permitted on furniture or bedding unless protective coverings are used.
QUIET HOURS & NOISE MONITOR
Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM, in compliance with Jefferson County ordinance, and are enforced by local police. Guests must keep noise levels to a minimum to avoid disturbing neighbors. The property is equipped with a Minut noise monitoring device located outdoors near the pool. This device measures sound levels only (it does not record audio or video) and alerts the host if noise exceeds a reasonable threshold.
SECURITY CAMERAS
There are no interior cameras. Exterior cameras are located at the garage, front porch, back patio, and pool area for the safety and protection of guests and property. Hosts review footage only when there is a report, safety concern, or maintenance verification need.
PARKING
Parking is available in the driveway only. Do not park or drive on the grass, as this may damage the lawn or septic fields.
SEPTIC SYSTEM & PLUMBING
The home is on a septic system. Only toilet paper may be flushed. Do not flush wipes, paper towels, feminine products, or anything labeled “flushable.”
POOL USE & SAFETY
The property includes a heated saltwater pool for guest use. Guests acknowledge that the pool is used at their own risk. Children and non-swimmers must be closely supervised at all times.
EVENTS & COMMERCIAL USE
The property may not be used for parties, weddings, receptions, or other gatherings exceeding the maximum occupancy. Filming or photography for commercial use requires prior written approval. Social media posts must tag or credit Perennial Stays when applicable.
CHILD SAFETY
The home is not childproofed. Guests are responsible for supervising children at all times and assume all related risks. Due to the home’s historic nature, stairs may be steep or uneven and not suitable for guests with mobility limitations.
