We had a lovely stay and it was so nice for our dog as well. The Mountain Lake Cub had a doggy beach day on Saturday morning and it was a super fun experience. The host was friendly and responsive!

The house was cute however, the photos on the listing make it seem like the house is on the water with a deck overlooking. That is not the case. The photos of the lake are from the nearby restaurant. That was disappointing for sure. The restaurant was great and we enjoyed karaoke night! Other than that, the house is certainly older but cute and clean. We enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit. The property is about 25-30 minutes outside of Harper’s ferry and I wouldn’t say uber is an option.Overall a cute place for a weekend getaway close to Harper’s ferry.

Thank you, Jason, for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the house, fire pit, and karaoke night at the Lakehouse Bar & Grill. We appreciate you pointing out the confusion about the lake photos. We've since added captions to clarify that the photos were taken at the Lakehouse Bar & Grill, located just a short walk from the house. Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back sometime!

Great house! It had everything we needed! It was clean and well 'labeled' as to lightswitches, and instructions. The host was quick to answer and resolve any issues (for us it was playing a DVD)! The only downside was voltage to the hot tub, it worked, though the jets were half power. Location to the lake and the MLC was nice and the employees there were very friendly.

Shawn was very good with communication and everything was so easy. Being able to let our puppies outside into the fenced yard was so helpful. Was very clean and so easy to get around the area. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Stayed in this home for a girls wine weekend. The house has been well taken care of and updated for comfort. It was clean, well stocked and we felt at home. Air conditioning was excellent. The house is extremely roomy and gave us room to relax. The backyard was well maintained and the hot tub was clean. WiFi worked well and TV’s allowed us to use apps for viewing. Great communication with owner. Close to wineries and outdoor attractions. We highly recommend to future guests.

Property was amazing! And Shaun was wonderful with my late night panic of not being able to get in only to find out my GPS took me to the wrong house. We travel with 5 kids under 12, and there was room for us all to spread out and some to spare. But some how they all ended up choosing to be on top of each other. The kitchen is well stocked for any traveler, the drive there is amazing. My oldest said the loft nook was her favorite. I'm sad that we were only there overnight, I would have loved to spend more time exploring.

Overall, a nice place to stay. So well stocked with the comforts of home. Lots of little things that are helpful to have like spices, bathroom products, laundry products, etc. The location is very convenient to Harpers Ferry. The backyard being fully fenced was great since I brought my dogs along. They even had a dog bed and bowls for the pups. I didn’t use the hot tub, but it was on and ready when we arrived and looked clean and well maintained. The upstairs bathroom is super cute. I really like the tile backsplash. Plenty of parking in the driveway. The only issue I had at all was that it isn’t the cleanest place I’ve stayed. Upon entering the property one is hit with the smell of mildew/mold immediately. I understand older buildings can be prone to water issues but this was pretty bad-smelling. It definitely set off my mold allergies. The beds were very comfortable, there were a lot of great things here. I just wanted to put it out there about the mold/mildew because I know it can be bad for folks with allergies/asthma. Overall for the price it was a very good, convenient, comfortable place to stay.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the air quality. This was the first time we'd received this feedback, and we've since added air purifiers to help keep the indoor air fresh and comfortable. Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you and your pups back sometime!

Our dogs loved the fenced in yard! That was definitely the highlight for us. Plenty of space for them to run around. The bed and furniture were very comfortable. I would have left 5 stars, but have to rate it overall 4 for the hot tub not being clean (had dirt and leaves in it so we did not use it) and window AC units needed a good cleaning. Other than that, overall a good place to stay in the area, especially with pets!

Ashley, thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so glad you and your dogs enjoyed the fenced yard and found the home comfortable. We’re very sorry the hot tub and AC units were not fully up to expectations during your stay. We take cleanliness seriously, and the hot tub is professionally cleaned, sanitized, and chemically balanced between every guest stay. We’ve also followed up with our cleaning team regarding the AC units to help ensure a better experience moving forward. Because the hot tub is located under trees, occasional leaves can sometimes blow in between cleanings during windy or stormy weather, but we still understand the disappointment and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Thank you again for choosing our home, and we’d love the opportunity to host you again in the future.
