About this property
Refined Rustic Retreat | Walk to Canyon Lodge, Hot Tub, Sauna & Garage
Refined Rustic Retreat at Sonenalp is a thoughtfully designed, single-level mountain home offering space, comfort, and calm just steps from Canyon Lodge. Guests consistently describe it as “ideal,” “superb,” and “even nicer than the pictures”—a place that feels like a true home base rather than a typical ski condo.
At nearly 2,000 square feet, this residence is designed for families and groups who want to be close to the mountain without sacrificing privacy or breathing room. The open floor plan centers around a welcoming living area with a gas fireplace, plush seating, and room to gather after a day outside. A well-appointed gourmet kitchen anchors the space, with granite countertops, generous prep areas, a dining table for eight, breakfast bar seating for four, and a dedicated nook that works well for planning, puzzles, or remote work.
Two private primary bedrooms provide comfort and separation for adult guests. The main primary features a California king bed, daybed, fireplace, and en-suite bath with dual sinks and a tub/shower combination. The second primary includes a king bed, TV, and is adjacent to a bathroom with dual sinks and a separate toilet/shower room. The third bedroom is a bunkroom designed with fun in mind, offering two sets of bunks (sleeping up to six), a TV, and mini-foosball—perfect for kids or teens while adults relax nearby.
One of the home’s most appreciated features is its connection to the outdoors. A south-facing balcony offers access to a shared hot tub and sauna (shared with just one neighboring unit), overlooking a quiet back garden that doubles as a sledding hill in winter. A second, north-facing balcony provides a peaceful spot for morning coffee or evening downtime. Two Weber grills are available seasonally and shared among the building’s four residences.
The location is what truly sets Refined Rustic Retreat apart. Canyon Lodge lifts and gondola are an easy walk away, and two year-round shuttle stops are located just outside the building. Guests can head uphill to the slopes or take a gentle downhill stroll toward town and the Village. With garage parking for two vehicles, ski and gear storage, and a Canyon Lodge locker included, logistics are refreshingly simple.
Refined Rustic Retreat is privately owned and professionally managed by Adventure Refined. Guests enjoy keyless entry, a detailed online Guest Guide, and responsive local support before and throughout their stay—no front desk visits, no key exchanges, just a smooth arrival and attentive care.
