Historic Early Settler Farm House that Has Been Modernized For Your Comfort.
Our Rock House was the first house built on our farm located north of Dover, AR. The house was built in the early 20th century and my Great Grandfather lived in the house. One of the unique features of the house is that its walls are solid rock. We have taken great strides in modernizing the house to make it a unique, but comfortable experience. The house is located in the middle of 200 acres ready to explore. Home is updated and has 2 bedrooms and a roll away bed in the back porch that is enclosed and heated.
Canoeing. The property is 5-miles from Big Piney Creek and Rushing Road bridge. Big Piney Creek is a major canoeing destination in Arkansas. Moore Outdoors is a popular canoe rental for the Big Piney. Google Moore Outdoors to find their website. Property is also approximately 1 hour drive to Buffalo River.
ATV Trail Riding. Approximately 15 miles north on Scenic Hwy 7 is the Mocassin Gap ATV Trail. Trails are well marked and easy to find. There are several waterfalls and pretty creek crossing. Brock Creek ATV trail is approximately 30-miles away. Brock Creek would be more advanced trails and the markings are not quite as good.
Fishing. Lots of fishing options available in the area. There are stocked ponds available on the property that are available to fish. In addition, fishing the Big Piney Creek is very popular (twin bridges to Rushing Road leg of creek can be relaxing fishing/canoe ride). Lastly, Lake Dardanelle State Park, which is nationally known for its excellent bass fishing is a 12-mile drive from Dover, AR.
Motorcycles: Perfect launching point for motorcycle riders wanting to explore the Ozark Mountains. Nice launching point to the following destinations: Jasper, AR, Hot Sprints, Mount Nebo, Mount Magazine.
Swimming: The best swimming hole in Arkansas is located at Long Pool that has large rocks to jump off (anywhere between 8 to 12 foot drop) that kids absolutely go bonkers over. Long Pool State Park has $3 for parking and you need exact cash as it is self service. Bring a flotation device as you need to swim creek to get over to the rocks.
Hiking: Close to the following hiking trails: Pedestal Rock (hike below bluff line to see all the caves), Glory Hole (waterfall flowing into cave), Alum Cove Natural Bridge (caves), Long Pool State Park (waterfalls), Whitaker Point (best site for picture in Arkansas to memorialize your trip).
Closest Town: Dover, AR is approximately 5-miles away. Access to grocery store and restaurants available in Dover.

We stayed in the stone house and absolutely loved it! There is so much history in this house and I loved how Mr and Mrs Dale came by to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed! We will stay here again if we are back in the area!
Property was exactly what we needed in a home away from Home. The property itself was picturesque and offered every amenity that home would! Thanks for an excellent stay!
The house was great for my family of 4. Its in a quiet town in Arkansas, country living but only minutes from downtown. The home has great character and we will return.
We loved it. Perfect for our family trip with friends. The place was just as described and very cozy! Everything we needed was there. The owners were friendly and very informative about the area!!
This property was historic, quaint, clean, and heartwarming. Plenty of towels for a family, room to run in the backyard, and very accomidating owners. Well worth the stay.
Stone cabin was amazing. Better than described. We were very comfortable and made to feel right at home. Kitchen was stocked and had everything we needed! We loved this place. Great weekend trip!!

Great place to stay
Stayed at the "Rock" house recently when 3 of us went to the Ozark Forest area to ride motorcycles. What a great place. Reservations were easy, price was very affordable and the accommodations were great. They even provided a garage for our bikes. Its in a beautiful area of Arkansas. I highly recommend it.
This was an older, well kept house. It was very clean. Robert and Lawanda were wonderful people. We really enjoyed meeting them and seeing the farm. I loved the porch swing and the view!
Our primary reason for our stay was atv-ing at Mack’s Pines which is located about 15 minutes away…house is located about 8 minutes from town…dollar store located right down the road! We found this house was great to come home and relax every evening. Hosts were very accommodating and pleasant to deal with…we will be back!
We love coming here to relax and just get away from the everyday hustle! Lawanda & Robert are so nice and accommodating, even though we never need anything more than what they already provide! I recommend this for anyone wanting a clean, comforting home away from home!
It’s likely that we stay at this house again in the future. It was clean and well kept. No noise pollution as there wasn’t much traffic. The A/C worked well which is a huge plus!
My elderly husband, son and daughter in law and two grands stayed. It was a beautiful peaceful well kept older home. It has a back porch and we brought our own roll away bed so my husband would be comfortable in his own space. He loved the added privacy the back porch offered him as needed. The home was clean and reminded me of being at my grandparents home. Very quaint home
We enjoyed our stay at this cute historic farmhouse. There is a Dollar General about 1 mile from house and Dover is less than 5 miles with some great restaurants fir a small two . We visited with owners every day and enjoyed that so much. We enjoyed riding our side by side on the area.We want to return to area and house.
Thanks Ron and Shelley

Very peaceful
This is a very peaceful area to stay when you want to get away from all the crazy fast pace of city life. It was relaxing to sit on the porch and take in the views of the mountain.
The owners a awesome people and we truly enjoyed visiting with them. They will give you the history of the house and farm area. We also got to spend one morning fishing on the property.
We will definitely stay again when we return to the area.

Wonderful week on an absolutely beautiful piece of property!
We loved our stay! Very clean and comfortable! Our whole family enjoyed it! Many days fishing in the ponds....we caught bass and the catfish were plenty! We enjoyed the the walks on the property, and the short road trip to Long Pool swimming hole. We would love to return during quail season....we hope to be back! A huge thanks to the great hospitality:-)))
Rock house was a very nice play for my wife and son and i to spend a few days. House was very clean and well kept. It sits on a gorgeous family farm that is all around you. The owners live within eyesight and where there checking to make sure everything was perfect as soon ss we got yhere. If i had one small complaint it would be the mattress in the master bedroom was hard as a brick.
