About this property
2025 & 2026 dates, Top Floor 330° Ocean View, Huge Private Deck w/ Hot Tub
UNIT AVAILABLE
This unit is available December 4-8 (4 nights), December 8-12 (4 nights), or December 4-12, 2025 (7 or 8 nights). It is next available January 13-20, 2026 (7 nights), and February 20-24, 2026 (4 nights). Then it is available June 8-15, 2026 (7 nights), and November 16-23, 2026 (7 nights).
Our unit is a 532-square foot studio located on the top (5th) floor of Building 43 at the end of the building with a sweeping 330-degree view of the ocean and surrounding grounds. During the winter you’ll see each day’s sunrise and sunset comfortably from the expansive partially-covered 754-square foot patio that surrounds the unit on two sides while sitting in your private Jacuzzi® jetted hot tub. No other units look down on the patio. There are only five units of this design at the entire resort, and none has the view and privacy that ours does.
Enjoy six swimming pools, numerous dining facilities and bars, an optional all-inclusive meal/drink plan, tennis courts with lines for pickleball, and an adjacent Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, all in fabulous weather at a beautiful gated resort that is only 10-15 minutes away from the excitement of town.
If you try to book a typical studio (without the larger patio or hot tub) directly from the resort or on any travel web site, you’ll pay $350-$550 per night. Book this extraordinary Super Junior unit from us and you’ll enjoy tremendous savings. More importantly, other units for rent can only be described in general terms because the owners don’t have a specific unit reserved for them. With these other owners you won’t know the building or unit you are assigned until you check in. Our unit is on the fifth floor of Building 43 as shown in our photographs.
Building 43 was opened in late 2015 and is entirely non-smoking, including on the outside patios and hallways. The unit includes one king-size bed (rollaway bed and/or crib can be added), a 48-inch flat screen HD TV with an HDMI and USB outlet, air conditioner controls, ceiling fan with variable speed control, safe, several dressers, closet, iron, ironing board, clock radio, two phones, and blackout drapes for the large sliding glass door and sliding window. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a 2-element electric stove, large 1000-watt microwave, 10.7 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer, blender, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, dishes, eating and serving utensils, glasses, measuring cups, cutting board, can/bottle opener, frying and casserole pans, bowls, salt and pepper shakers, storage containers, and a dining table with 4 chairs. The bathroom has a large shower, toilet, sink, lighted vanity mirror, and hair dryer. The patio has a dining table with 4 chairs and other chairs for relaxing in the sun.
There are several optional all-inclusive meal/drink plans available to purchase directly from Pueblo Bonito. WiFi service is available in the unit and throughout the resort for a fee through Pueblo Bonito. WiFi service is included in all of the all-inclusive plans.
You can shop at a number of nearby grocery stores (including Costco, Walmart, Fresko, Selecto Súper Chedraui, Soriana, and others) and stock up on food and drink for your stay.
Towels for swimming are available at the six on-site pools. Sorry, absolutely no pets or other animals are allowed.
To appreciate the unique nature of this unit and to learn why Cabo San Lucas and the Sunset Beach resort are exquisite destinations, please read the entire description, view the photos, and read our reviews.
Because the owner will be occupying the unit both before and after the rental period, verification of negative COVID tests and being up-to-date with COVID vaccinations is required. A rental agreement will be used. The reservation will be confirmed after the owner has received all of the following: the down payment, the signed rental agreement, a copy of the unexpired driver license of every person in the rental party, and anything else specified in the rental agreement.
QUIVIRA LOS CABOS AND THE SUNSET BEACH RESORT
Cabo San Lucas is a vibrant and safe community that American, Canadian and other tourists have been enjoying for years. Many of the people you’ll interact with speak English and many businesses accept US dollars. Cabo San Lucas has wonderful weather and it is warm and dry virtually year-round.
Pueblo Bonito’s Sunset Beach resort is part of a 1,850-acre beachfront master-planned community called Quivira Los Cabos with luxury resorts, villas, condominiums, residences, restaurants, bars, pools, spas, beach clubs, and the Jack Nicklaus-designed Quivira golf course. It’s very close to all of the nightlife and fun in the sun of town, but worlds apart in its own gated paradise.
Sunset Beach provides complimentary shuttle bus service to its two sister resorts (Rosé and Los Cabos/Blanco) closer to downtown, which are located on the swimming Médano Beach on the Gulf of California. A free shuttle van also can take you to the adjacent Pueblo Bonito facilities and Quivira golf course. At the Médano Beach sister properties you can enjoy exclusive access to the private Pueblo Bonito roped-off section on the sand with lounge chairs and full waiter service. The all-inclusive meal plan extends to Rosé and Blanco or you can charge your food and drinks to your room while there. Taxis and Uber also provide transportation to area restaurants and activities.
SWIMMING AND WATER ACCESS
There are six large heated freeform pool areas with food and beverage service at each, including four swim-up restaurant/bars. The Sky Pool has an amazing view overlooking the entire resort, and the beachfront Main Pool has recreation activities. Some of the pools have separate jetted tubs. There’s an adults-only pool and a children’s pool.
The soft, clean sand at Sunset Beach is ideal for long walks, sunbathing, and volleyball. Due to the strong undertow in the Pacific Ocean, there is no swimming allowed in the adjacent ocean at this or at other resorts. Private covered lounge areas are available on the beach for a fee.
The prime swimming beach is Médano Beach on the Gulf of California. It’s only a 10-minute taxi ride or a 15-minute shuttle bus ride to its calm swimming waters and water sports. The free hourly Pueblo Bonito shuttle bus runs between Sunset Beach and the sister resorts Rosé and Blanco, where it’s a short walk to the nearby marina and downtown’s famous nightclubs – Cabo Wabo, El Squid Roe, and the Hard Rock Cafe – and many restaurants, bars, and activities.
SPA AND FITNESS
The Armonia spa is located on site and offers an extensive menu of European-inspired body treatments and massage therapies, complete salon services, his and her locker rooms and wet areas, and spa packages. There are tennis courts with lines for pickleball and a modern fitness center available to guests of owners. Excellent massages are available near Médano Beach at a much lower cost.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere in our Building 43, including in the units and hallways or on the outdoor patios. The same no-smoking rules also apply to the adjacent Buildings 40, 41, and 42, the pool next to Buildings 40 and 41, and the adjacent Japanese restaurant Tazuna.
DINING
There are numerous places on site for food and beverage, from formal to casual. Guests also have access to the restaurants at Pueblo Bonito’s adjacent facilities and well as at their sister properties Rosé and Blanco, located closer to town via a free shuttle bus. A food court opened at Sunset Beach in December 2016 and a sports bar opened in October 2018. Including the bars/grills at the pools and on the beach, you can eat or drink at more than two dozen places and charge to your room. Of course, with the kitchen in the unit, you can bring in your own food and beverages and eat and drink at your convenience and at a lower cost.
Just 10 minutes away is downtown Cabo San Lucas. Here you’ll find bustling shopping areas, dozens of restaurants, cantinas and nightclubs, a marina, and scores of tours, activities, and attractions.
There is a mini-market and a deli on site for stocking your kitchen with food and beverages. For larger and less expensive food purchases, you are only a 15-minute taxi or local bus drive to the nearest grocery stores, including Costco and Walmart.
You can add the optional all-inclusive meal/drink plan after your reservation has been confirmed. Payment must be made directly to Pueblo Bonito. For best pricing, call and pay prior to your scheduled arrival date. The meal plan must cover all guests staying in the same unit. The minimum purchase is three consecutive days. With your meal plan also comes WiFi access that normally requires a separate fee.
GOLF
The Jack Nicklaus-designed Quivira Golf Course opened in December 2014 and is located on Pueblo Bonito’s property adjacent to Sunset Beach. Guests of owners may play the private Quivira course. More than a dozen other championship golf courses line the Los Cabos corridor from Cabo San Lucas to San José del Cabo.
SHOPPING
Adjacent to the marina in Cabo San Lucas is Puerto Paraiso mall, a three-level indoor shopping mall and the adjacent Luxury Avenue. There you’ll find jewelry, clothing, dining, entertainment, souvenirs, one of two casinos in town, and a movie theater. Patio Los Cabos is a two-level mall north of town with a movie theater and a large second-floor food court.
RECREATION
Nearby activities include whale-watching (generally December to March), ATV rentals, golfing, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, dolphin swims, snorkeling, parasailing, jet-skiing, boating, swimming, tennis, pickleball, shopping, dining, and more. At both shopping malls described above are movie theaters that show some movies in English.

About the host
Hosted by Murray
My wife and I started coming to Cabo San Lucas in 2012. When we found Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in 2014, we fell in love right away. We purchased several weeks in this unit when we visited in December 2015 and more in other units later. We spend the winters here while renting it out from time to time. We hope you enjoy Cabo San Lucas and Sunset Beach as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We enjoy the warmth of Cabo San Lucas and Sunset Beach - both the warmth of the weather and the warmth of the people. You don't need to speak Spanish, although it helps and does show a willingness to be a gracious guest in Mexico. You also don't need to exchange your currency because many businesses will convert your bill to US dollars. The employees at Sunset Beach are friendly and helpful, especially when you take the time to learn their names and try out your Spanish language skills. And the facility and town is very safe.
We enjoy taking advantage of the in-room kitchenette for preparing and cooking most of our meals for ourselves and for entertaining guests. Costco, Walmart and other grocery stores are a short taxi- or bus-ride away and there is a convenience store on-site if you run out of items. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars on the property and in town to satisfy all desires.
