Beach Harbour 17 at The Carolina Beach Boardwalk

Summary:
This condo is located in the heart of Carolina Beach. Within a few blocks there are fishing charters, shops, restaurants, bars, festivals, events, and other attractions that make this a year round destination. The condo faces the ocean with a public beach access right across the street.

The Space:
This condo was remodeled extensively in 2016. It is primarily a weekly rental during the summer (furnished and stocked as one would be) but it's available for shorter stays the rest of the year. All TVs are Smart TVs with Netflix, Hulu, & other Apps. There is a stack unit washer/dryer in the condo. Outdoor Pool is generally open May-October 15th. There is a bike rack available if you bring your bike.

Guest Access:
This is a professionally operated vacation rental condominium. You have access to the entire unit.

Getting Around:
Walk! You can walk to most anything in Carolina Beach from this location. The boardwalk is two blocks away. Beach Access across the street. Fishing Charters available across the street on the other side. Over a dozen shops, restaurants, & bars, are within walking distance.

Other Things to Note:
Access: Enter using an electronic code doorknob so you can check in as soon as you arrive! The code is changed between each guest.

Parking:
Assigned Parking for 2 Cars, parked in tandem (back to back). An hourly/daily pay parking lot is available next to Beach Harbour if you need more parking. This lot is free in the Winter.

Bedding Information:
Queen, Pyramid Bunk (top twin, full middle, twin trundle under), sofa bed.

Interaction with Guests:
We are available at anytime. We prefer to communicate through the app to keep track of any communications. You will also have cell #s to call/text in case of emergency.

Perfect rental for family stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The unit was clean and updated with accomodations for 4 adults and a toddler, in our case. We loved being a minute walk from the beach and right at the end of the boardwalk, which gave us quick walking access to the best restaurants in Carolina Beach without the crowds. Would stay here again!

A quick beach trip went great at this condo. Everything was ready even a bit earlier than the check in time. It was stocked and close to the beach and restaurants. The owner was very prompt with answers when needed.

Mother's day at the beach

The over all experience was great, very close to the board walk and the host responded instantly to any questions. The place is older, but it was extremely clean and you can't be better located in Carolina beach along with the responsive host made you forget you were in an older building. Thanks for hosting us.

Family weekend Trip

House was in a great location. Really close to everything. Overall house was very clean and cozy. Was a little loud at night but that’s to be expected near a bar! Host provided sound machines in every room to aid with this. Host didn’t send check in info until I messaged and asked for it the morning of our trip. Communication was a little sparse, but that could be a positive for some folks! Overall really happy with stay and location. Would stay again!

Good experience overall but property needs some TLC

Fantastic communication and ease of check in. Cute unit but we were disappointed that it wasn't as clean and comfy as we expected. The beds (mattresses) are very uncomfortable and the property needs a good deep cleaning. Just felt a little beat up but honestly at this price, we just made the best of it as the location was perfect for us!

Very Nice Condo and Across from the Beach

It is a very cute and beachy decorated condo. Spacious and bright. During my stay I communicated with the owner many times and he got back to me quickly. My husband, elderly Dad and I spent just 1 night, we live 2 and 1/2 hours from the beach and would rather not spend 5 hours of our day driving so we booked 1 night so we could enjoy the beach for 2 days. And we did! ☺️. If you're looking for an ideally located beach condo, this is it. It's directly across the street from the beach and public pay parking. So if you have to check out and still want to spend time at the beach, just move your car across the street, pay for a couple hours of parking and you're good to go.

Not as clean as it should be. Need bed for adults instead of bunk beds. Mold in bathroom and toilet did not flush as it should. Found trash under bed in bunk room. Porch should have been swept up. Cleaning people stayed less than an hour. Surely cost too much for condition of place.

Overall, my family and I adored this property. It was properly decorated and furnished to give us all that welcoming beach vibe we love while visiting the beach. I was a little irritated due to lack of communication with the property owner -- we never received an email with instructions to get onto the property before we arrived. There were no bedsheets or towels on the property -- we have never encountered this issue before -- we assumed that this may have been mentioned in the email we never received. Even with this small hiccup, the location is hard to beat -- we would definitely stay here again. We loved being able to walk to the beach, great local restaurants, and shopping.

Perfect location!

We really loved the location of this property. We were just a short walk from the beach and boardwalk! Check in was easy as well as check out. Here are some things to consider prior to booking this property: 1. The pool is small. We stayed in the off season so it wasn’t an issue. 2. They are under construction. Loud crews working. 3. The beds are not comfortable. One has broken springs and the other is super hard. 4. This is not the cleanest of places. It was also renovated but falls short. The main bathroom is small and the door sometimes doesn’t close.

Great stay in Carolina Beach

We had a great stay! As a family of 5, it can be difficult to find a rental that’s truly set up to accommodate more than 4 people. This one was a great fit for our family! The pyramid bunk with the trundle in the 2nd bedroom meant each kid had their own bed, and between the living room, dining room, and porch, we had plenty of space to spread out. Location was very convenient, directly across from the public beach access and a quick walk to the Boardwalk and all the restaurants. Worth noting - another reviewer had commented that the parking was very small. The only thing we can think is that they must have parked in the wrong spot. The parking space for this unit was ample. We drive a Suburban and had plenty of space to park comfortably, open all the doors and rear hatch, and unload. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool, but it looked very clean. Communication with Brandon was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Questionable Experience

The location was superb and letting us get in early was wonderful. On the condo side..the cleaning people need to do a little better. Microwave dirty, refrigerator compartments did not open due to sticky residue and windows on inside were pretty nasty. There was no grill as listed and no instructions anywhere in the property other than how to clean up the place before leaving. No one to contact anyone for help. We had no sheets for two of the beds and phone number to contact owner was not valid. Slept on mattress pad. First place I rented that did not have microwave cooking ware, no sugar, no coffee or tea for the Kurig, no beach chairs or a grill to cook on. Listing was not clear. Reason for renting is typically to not have to bring all these things. Also, if you want to sleep, bring your own blow up mattress. The queen bed in the bunk room was unworthy of it being there. Tried to pull out the trundle bed instead but there were dead bugs on the mattress and no sheets or mattress pad. I can excuse the no condiments but renting to people with a bed like that is very sad. I dare the owner to sleep in that bed one night and can't understand why the messages I sent requesting sheets and where the grill that was as advertised were not responded to. Even my VRBO contact did not respond. Also if you do not like loud music deep into the night I wouldn't advise. Taco Bar next door has live music. The location was great, the patio and parking was nice and it was decorated nicely.

Weekend Study Trip

This was a clean property with a short walk to the beach. My family enjoyed the ocean while I studied for an exam. We loved the space and separate shower and tub situation for our little one.

Excellent Location!

Although not beachfront, this property is steps away from the beach and boardwalk! Restaurants and shops are also a very short walk. The first floor property is updated, but doesn’t quite have an ocean view. We’d definitely go back!
