What a lovely house! Great communication from Chatral with prompt answers to our questions set the stage for what would be a lovely stay. The house retains a lot of the charm of an older property while having modern amenities like wi-fi, a dishwasher, modern fixtures, and plenty of outlets everywhere. The kitchen was well-stocked and a pleasure to cook in. The four bedrooms provided plenty of sleeping space for our group and Chatral was even nice enough to leave some toys for our kids.
It was pretty cold outside during our stay so we didn't get to spend much time on the porch or in the yard but we hope to return in the future to enjoy those elements as well. One of my favorite rental properties that I've ever stayed in!

Wonderful Historic Home
We enjoyed our stay for a few days. Secluded and quiet. Host was excellent!
The Homestead was WONDERFUL & looked exactly as depicted in the photos. Immaculately clean--I never felt grossed out or like things were dirty. The charm in that place is immeasurable! Absolutely loved it!
The house immediately felt inviting and cozy. As seasoned VRBO users, we have seen many properties. This space was clean and warm (in the heart of winter!), and had wonderful character. The kitchen was easy to make meals in and the beds were comfy. Additionally, the location was close to wonderful spots for food and beautiful views. When we had a question for the host, it was answered in minutes. In all, I would highly recommend this house. It was one of my favorites.
This space is wonderful for families or small groups who want to unwind and enjoy some space, peace, and quiet. We appreciated the reliable wi-fi, fully functional kitchen, puzzles/games, and lovely porch and deck.
I wish I could go back right now! We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and was spotless, check in was easy, and it was a spacious place for us and our children to rest and play. Close to good hiking and swimming opportunities and a quiet and peaceful setting. Thanks for a great stay!
This is a comfortable, thoughtful, and well-cared for property with an interesting history. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. I so enjoyed my time there, and hope to stay again soon. Thank you so much!
The house exceeded our expectations in a small town
We had a delightful stay last weekend. The home is lovely and well appointed, yet comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the beds were perfect. The house and grounds were very well maintained. The porch was a relaxing spot to enjoy our morning coffee or our beverages at night. It was a memorable weekend. We would definitely come back and Chatral was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.

Great time with the kids!
The children and family had a great time here. Very clean and modern, while retaining original rustic country feel. A truly artistic, unique and skilled restoration of original house. Close to many nature activities and skiing. Very quiet and peaceful area.
