Once again Towering Pines was awesome. This time we had kids and grandkids and everyone loved it and hated when it was time to leave. Can’t say enough good things about this cabin!!
The house is so spacious! Great layout and huge kitchen. Plenty of area ro lounge and relax with a great outdoor patio and firepit and close to the water!
Overall it was a nice stay ,we were out exploring things so we were not at the house alot but when we were there it was comfortable.
It had everything we needed for our stay there
I wish the weather would’ve been warmer so we could experience the lake a little bit more, but it was still a nice stay
Our group consisted of me, my husband and 2 of our adult kids. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere; to get a coffee in the morning, to the grocery store, to the Lumberjack show, to get ice cream and to the fishing museum. We sat around a fire on the back patio every night over looking the lake and talking. The kitchen is nice and big with lots of counterspace which made making meals easy. We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed being right in Hayward yet feeling like we were way out in the woods on the lake. Drinking my coffee from the recliner in the house and watching the sun rise over the lake was such an awesome experience.
The property was beautiful and had great outdoor space. It was very neat and tidy and well-equipped for what we needed,
We had a great time and hope to return some day.
Thanks!
Mary
This was our first experience with a VRBO and it was AMAZING! Highly recommend you check this one out. It was everything we thought it would be and more!
Our family loved our stay! We had everything we needed and more. Lots of space, beautiful home and lake-- we did lots of fishing and relaxing. Owners were very easy and quick to communicate with. Hope to stay again soon!!
Beautiful property very well maintained and stocked. We wanted for nothing and everything we personally forgot was there ready for us. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.
Kitchen was wonderful. 2 family rooms allowed everyone to be together when they wanted and gave a space for someone to do their own thing.Bathroom needs some attention.Overall unit very clean.I am an avid gardener so the overgrown back gardens were a disappointment. They blocked the path to the back so much the leaves were get caught in the door.Kids loved the assortment of games and the kayaks were a special treat for them. Also the little guys caught a fish with almost every cast from the dock.
Great house, clean, comfortable bed, well-stocked, can’t beat the location, deer in the front yard & lake right out the back door! Good communication! Highly recommend!
Everything was well stocked. The view was wonderful and we enjoyed the fire pit. Can't control the weather but we found fun things to do inside on the rainy day as well.
We put together a puzzle, played games and even did a word find.

Just Loved It
The house (and location) was fantastic from the huge kitchen, fire pit patio and the chairs to the dock - couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you for providing such a nice place. I agree with other reviews...I wish I hadn't just bought a new mattress at home because I would've looked to see what the mattresses were here - they were so comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Very clean, well appointed inside, gorgeous views from the patio and bench on boat dock outside as well as master bedroom, living and family room inside.
Truly, everything you could need inside and out. We visit Hayward every summer, and this was one of our most enjoyable visits despite the fact that it rained much of the week. It was so nice to have 3 bedrooms, both a living room and family room, and a spacious kitchen with everything we needed for cooking. We brought cards and games, and our kayaks but wouldn’t have needed to- there are puzzles, games and books inside, and kayaks and a paddle boat outside. Though fishing wasn’t great from the dock, the guys took our boat out and did pretty well near the channel-enough for 2 meals. We hope to return next year.

About the host
Hosted by Janean or Steve
Steve and I both grew up in Southern Minnesota. We work hard both at our jobs and at maintaining a Hobby Farm with lots of outdoor space and gardens; but we also love to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of fishing for pan fish, sitting around a campfire and enjoying a great glass of wine.
