About this property

Sun & Sea family villa

The Villa is a cozy spot up the slopes of Signal hill, a part of Table Mountain National Park right in the middle of Atlantic Seaboard in downtown Cape Town.

It's at Ocean View Drive which, as the name suggests, is all about views of the Atlantic, only interrupted by Robben Island in the distance. Even so, its smack bang in town, a 10 minute walk to all the Green Point shops and restaurants and a 5-10 minute drive to V&A Waterfront or to the stunning white beaches at Camps Bay.

This villa has 5 bed rooms and 5 bathrooms (out of which three en-suite) and two additional people can sleep on floor mattresses in the lounge areas. The villa has two sitting areas - one with a little swing next to a real fireplace and another around the TV.

Our favorite part is the area outside which has a swimming pool, a sun deck, patio and a little garden. There are fabulous views of the ocean. There is one dedicated, secured parking area, or alternatively there is plenty of on-street parking.

Sun & sea delivered!

This stunning house, literally in the heart of Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard, is a masterpiece of comfort and luxury and is really, really well appointed. It is located on a neat and safe street in Green Point allowing my family to walk around and soak in Cape Town with a sense of confidence and safety. It is about a 10 minute walk down to the beach or to the Green Point park, to the promenade and the scores of bars and restaurants at Green Point including our favourites - Mojo market, Giovanni and Hudson's. You don't really need a car if you stay here as everything is a short walk or Uber away but we had rented one to be able to explore the wine lands and go to Cape Point and the garage in the house really helps. The house itself is HUGE, sunny, airy and quite cozy and has 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms - our favourites were the master bedroom upstairs with amazing ocean views from its balcony but also the rustic 'Log Cabin' with its natural Table mountain rocks and open shower. We spent loads of time barbecuing or just relaxing in the garden of the house and the stunning swimming pool with amazing ocean views. The sunset and the sun-downers from the sun deck were incredibe each day. There is a great little 'secret' garden as well which is refreshingly green and provides a shady spot for a hot afternoon at another level of the house. In the evenings, the adults would get around the lovely entertainment area while the kids ran around all over. The hostess Gautami was super friendly and communicative all through and even left a bottle of wine for us - a lovely little touch. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Cape Town and cares about a luxurious, spacious, safe, friendly and easy-going space in an excellent location.
