About this property

Charming cottage, Private Oasis!- AC for summer months!

This one bedroom cottage is the perfect retreat for a couple looking for a get-away. Overlooking one acre of rolling hills with signature Block Island stone walls, this delightful cottage offers privacy and the Island's best stargazing.
Located just over a mile to downtown and the beach, it is easy to enjoy all Block Island has to offer. Walking distance to Greenway Hiking Trails as well as New Harbor, the cottage provides a convenient home base for exploring what The Nature Conservancy refers to as "A last great place."
The cottage offers one bedroom with a queen sized bed (with a very comfortable mattress) and a love seat in the living area. **All sheets and towels (plus beach towels) are included. A high-top table is also in the open living area.
There is a full bathroom with a large tiled shower, as well as an attached private hot/cold outdoor shower.
There is also a deck with a bistro set as well as a gas grill for outdoor cooking.
The kitchen includes a refrigerator, oven/stove top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and teapot. We also have AC for the summer season! You will have your own dedicated parking space as well.
All household products, including: soap; plastic wrap; aluminum foil; paper towels; toilet paper etc. are provided.
So, just pack your bathing suit and flip flops and enjoy! If it is your first time on Block Island or your thirtieth, we look forward to making your experience a truly memorable one.
PLEASE NOTE: There is an additional 14% tax on rentals in Rhode Island as well as a 1% Block Island tax.

BI cottage.

Small and very clean. Everything you need is there.biggest drawback was the steep and uneven stairs to get to the unit, otherwise all was good.

We had a wonderful stay at Dunne Cottage. It was the perfect spot for a couple’s getaway and very centrally located to all of Block Island’s amenities. The on-site parking was a breeze and when we didn’t want to drive, taxis were easy to acquire. The outdoor shower was lovely and their well-stocked kitchen and on-site propane grill were great for at-home cooking! The owners were so lovely, hospitable and easy to communicate with. On our last day, we met one of the owners, Ed, in person, who couldn’t have been kinder. He even gave us a ride into town after our check-out on Sunday! Thank you for the wonderful stay at Dunne Cottage - we hope to be back!

Perfect long weekend cottage for two!

Enjoyed staying in quiet area far enough from town with grilled dinners, nightly fires at the picnic table up on the hill out back overlooking scenic rolling hills and stone walls. Kitchen was very well appointed for simple meals, everything was super clean and comfortable, and of course the outdoor shower was the perfect way to end our beach days. Hosts Marti and Ed were super friendly and knowledgeable about the island. Short walk to Ellen’s at the airport for breakfast. Hope to get back next year!

Charming cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this cute cottage on Block Island- our favorite place! The location was great- convenient, quiet and close to everything we love. The cottage itself was very clean, cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The owners were very accommodating and responsive, which made the whole experience even better! The only downside was the bathroom had a bit of a damp feel, but it didn’t take away from our enjoyment. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a charming relaxing get away!

Dune’s cottage is tops from its hilltop location to its welcoming accommodations!

The sweetest spot on the island!

Location was great, in the middle of everything not a far walk, we even did it with our one year-old. The cottage has everything you would need for a great stay in Block Island. Highly recommend this spot to anyone. Super cozy, comfortable amenities, and our host, Julia Was incredibly nice and accommodating when it came to dropping off our bags early and picking them up before we headed out on the ferry. Some small hiking trails just around the corner and a lovely yard to take in the sights and breathe in some fresh salty air. I would absolutely stay here again if it was available!

The Dunne Cottage

A lovely quiet spot for us to use as home base for our bicycle trips to beaches, tennis and downtown. Owners are lovely and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay on one of our favorite places BI!

Since purchasing the property we have completely renovated both and are very proud of the end result. We enjoy time on Block Island year round, learning that each season has a unique appeal.
