Lovely stay

Lovely little unit to stay in, in a wonderful area. Beach and buses very close and easy to get around. Lovely gardens and pool area, very quiet and relaxing. Local shops are a little bit of a walk, but you can get a bus if you have a bit of shopping to do. Enjoyed our stay, would recommend.

Lovely stay

Lovely flat- it is compact but has everything you need. Fantastic location- 1 minute to the beautiful pool, 5 minutes to beach and easy access to bus and train. Enjoyed the balcony which has a view of the garden with a glimpse of the sea beyond. Would agree with small request from another guest for better pillows! Bill is an extremely helpful and responsive host. Would love to come again.

Great location

We have stayed in this apartment many times and have always enjoyed our stay.The apartment is well located with easy access to buses or trains to Nice and Monaco and beyond.The apartment is small but very well equipped and comfortable.It is always a pleasure to deal with Bill the host.

Wonderful stay

We spent lovely holidays in this nice little flat. It is equipped with everything you need. The fan helped a lot, because we had two very hot weeks. The location is clean and well situated. We enjoyed the pool, the friendly people and the close access to the sea. Bill is a very nice and caring host.

Relaxed break

This little flat is in a great location. We could easily walk to Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Villefranche and for two people it was a good size. The swimming pool and snack bar were a delight. Bill, the owner recommended a cab company for airport transfers and various restaurants. The flat was good value for money and we are thinking about returning.

Great Holiday

The accommodation was as described. The pool area was beautiful and well looked after. Lovely snack bar and friendly staff. Would not recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. The area is quite hilly. Good bus stops directly outside the property.

Excellent location great pool!

We loved our stay here and communication with Bill throughout was excellent. It’s a great location for enjoying Villefranche sur mer as well as the many places nearby (Nice, Monaco, Menton) all easily reached by bus from the stops just a few minutes walk away. The pool area is fabulous and pool perfect temperature (there is a daily charge per sunbed €6 full day/ €3 half day). Our only very small request would be for better pillows, but that’s all! Thank you for letting us enjoy your lovely apartment 😊

Paradise indeed!

Spent a week at Bill’s place and had a fantastic time. It’s really all about the location. Walking distance to Villefranche or Beaulieu (10 minutes) and St Jean Cap Ferrat (20 minutes). Pool area is really good with millionaire views (eg Villa Nellcote where the Stones recorded Exile On Main St is just to the right as you look towards the sea). Excellent communication with good tips about the area/restaurants, etc. . Bus 15 (Nice-St Jean) and 600 (Nice-Monaco/Menton) more or less on the doorstep. Good value for money. Air con would be good but otherwise a great spot!

Paradise in Villefranche-sur-mer

Host Bill was an excellent communicator and also provided plenty of details about the local area. The location is excellent - lovely 20 minute walk along the beach to the restaurants in villefranche-sur-mer. We also walked to get groceries in Beaulier-sur-mer. Bakery there is sensational. Most of all we enjoyed the pool and spent a lot of time there. You’d be hard pressed to find better value for accommodations in Villefranche-sur-mer.

Enjoyable week!

A small compact property but clean and well kept. We had hired a car which was great for exploring the area- lots to see. Nice pool and good communication with Bill. It would have been good to have another set of keys as one family member wanted to head off but a bit restricting with one set of keys . However overall would recommend !

Ange Gardien Apartment

We spent a great week here as a base to visit other coastal villages by bus and train - very easy- as well as walk to the beach here to swim and wander exploring the old town. Enjoyed our evening swim and drinks by the on site pool and excellent cafe. The apartment is tiny - which we were aware of as one of us has stayed here before - especially the room with a bunk bed - not suitable for adults. Although communication from Bill was excellent we did have some trouble accessing the building as we did not have mobile phone use. We would make sure we did next time.

Feels like vacation

We enjoyed a lot our stay in Villefranche sur Mer: all conditions are met to make you feel on vacation: clean pool -10 seconds away, you prefer the beach? add another 3 minutes, restaurants- Stroll along the beach couple of minutes... Interested in sightseeing , shopping , visiting the Côte d'Azur ? hop on the bus or train -both of which are 10-15 minutes walk and you are set...depending on where you want to go ,some 15 min-1 hour transport . The appt itself is very convenient , all amenities for a comfortable stay-the terrace makes your meals so enjoyable, beats some restaurants' views:-) Well kept gardens around the appt make for enjoyable surroundings. The host is very responsive and kind! Thank you for letting us use your property Cheers

Lovely apartment in Villefranche-sur-Mer

We had a lovely stay in the apartment. Bill could not have been more helpful, from sending pre-arrival advice to being hugely accommodating to a frequent change of flights that we encountered on our trip! The apartment itself is brilliantly located and well kept and stocked with all you will need. Plenty of room for a family of 4 (children aged 8 &11) with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. The pool is excellent as is the snack bar adjacent. A short walk to villefranche-sur-mer with some lovely restaurants (we ate at Espuma & La Travestere) . Easy transport with a bus stop just outside the property, we took the bus into Nice, to Eze and Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. We also took the train to Ventimiglia, Italy which was a 45 minute journey. Would thoroughly recommend

Great location

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely well appointed apartment. The views from the living room and terrace are very calming over the sea and onto the well kept gardens. This apartment is in a ideal location right between Villefrance and Beaulieu. Leisurely walks to discovery this area is a must in either direction. We had a car so the secure parking along with the security to get into the complex made for a very relaxing holiday. The owner has left a folder with some excellent information on the local area. However should you need any other information there is a Reception and all the staff we encountered while there were all approachable and welcomed you with a smile. To sum this up - would we recommend - Highly - would we go again - Yes and can't wait to return. Thank you for a lovely holiday

Lovely location!

This flat offered a perfect location for our holiday, set in beautiful gardens, with attractive views from the balcony and swimming pool. The pool was a good large size, deep enough for the children to enjoy underwater swimming and not too busy. The snack bar offered convenient, tasty food and my husband and son enjoyed the English tv for Wimbledon and the Euros! The flat is very clean and functional and we appreciated the lack of mosquitoes! Villefranche is very attractive and the excellent transport links meant that we were able to holiday and do lots of sightseeing without a car- a relaxing change for us! The taxi from the airport is a short, reasonable ride and the bus stop behind the residence provided a very regular service to everywhere we wanted to visit. We went out every day and there is still more to do, with trips to Menton and various art galleries around Nice being family favourites. It was a pleasant walk to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and Villa Kérylos and we enjoyed the French-Italian cuisine of the area. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area!

Region magnifique à visiter c un ravissement.La résidence et la piscine avec transats sont superbes et très bien entretenues avec végétation et jardins luxuriants.Environnement calme et bien fréquenté.A la piscine, un snack avec personnel charmant est à notre disposition. L'appartement est joli et confortable et bien aménagé quoique les chambres soient un peu trop petites. Les lits sont très confortables et tout est très propre. Le balcon suffisament spacieux, donnant sur jardins est très agréable et permet de prendre les repas dehors ou de se relaxer.Une voiture est nécessaire car la plage en dessous de la résidence est minuscule et mal aisée d'accès avec grosse montée pour rentrer.La plage des fourmis de Beaulieu la plus proche est très bien mais exige 15 mns de marche minimum et le super U à 20 ou 25 mns. Avec des jeunes enfants comme nous, il faut prendre la voiture ou le bus.A part cela c'est une très bonne adresse que je recommande, sans oublier Bill le propriétaire qui est charmant et communique parfaitement toutes informations. Le rapport qualité prix est bon pour la région.
Très heureuses vacances à l'ange gardien de Villefranche sur mer !

The beach is quite large & stretches all around the bay of Villefranche so I'm unsure what beach you visited. The shops as others have written are nearby or only 2 stops if you prefer to take the local bus.

Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in Villefranche-Sur-Mer in einer ruhigen und harmonischen Wohnanlage umgeben von Pflanzen, einem schönen Pool mit Terrasse und herrlicher Aussicht. Die Wohnung ist sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Der Strand ist nur fünf Minuten entfernt, wo man mit der Familie schöne Stunden verbringen kann. Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in Villefranche-Sur-Mer in einer ruhigen und harmonischen Wohnanlage umgeben von Pflanzen, einem schönen Pool mit Terrasse und herrlicher Aussicht. Die Wohnung ist sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Man kann schöne Spaziergänge nach St. Jean/Cap Ferrat machen. Es gibt einen geschlossenen privaten Bereich, wo man das Auto parken kann und einen Waschsalon, wo man seine Wäsche waschen und sogar trocknen kann. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder dort wohnen, wenn wir wieder an der Côte d’Azur Urlaub machen. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Das Paradies

Hier stimmt wirklich alles. Die Kommunikation mit Gastgeber Bill ist schon vor dem Urlaub eine Freude. Wir haben alle Informationen erhalten und der Check-in und Check-out war unproblematisch. Es ist eine kleine, für eine vierköpfige Familie gut aufgeteilte, perfekt ausgestattete und saubere Ferienwohnung in einer gepflegten Wohnanlage. Der Balkon bietet einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Garten (man sieht sogar ein Stückchen vom Meer). Die Lage ist großartig! Unser Auto wurde nicht gebraucht und stand den ganzen Urlaub sicher auf dem kostenlosen und abgeschlossenen Parkplatz der Residenz. Der traumhafte Strand von Villefranche (und auch von Beaulieu) ist fußläufig in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Eine kleine Wanderung um das Cap Ferrat oder nach Nizza ist direkt vom Apartment aus möglich und ein Genuss. Die Bushaltestelle ( um nach Nizza oder Monaco zu fahren) ist vor der Tür. Der Bahnhof ist etwa 10 Minuten entfernt. Wir haben mit dem Zug Tagesausflüge nach Cannes und Antibes unternommen. Es war ein traumhaft schöner Urlaub. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!
