Superb Ski Chalet In Alpe D'Huez / Oz-En-Oisans Resort

Chalet Oz is a private, self-catered chalet located in the Oz en Oisans resort in the heart of the French Alps. The chalet is completely detached with its own front door. A button lift is located just 50m from the chalet giving a ski in/ski out location. Oz is part of the Grandes Rousses/Alpe d’Huez ski area which is one of the largest resorts in the Alps. The ski area has more than 175km of pistes and plenty of off-piste routes for the more experienced skier. Two Gondolas provide rapid access from Oz to the main resort area with queues a rarity. There are a number of aspects that make Oz the perfect resort for families with children. There are no cars in the main resort area. The skiing in Oz itself is self-contained. A carpet lift and 2 button lifts is ideal for children as they start to learn and develop their skills. Access to the high mountain is not possible without taking one of the gondolas. For smaller children there is a creche, La Petite d’Oz in the resort, which takes children from 6 months up to 6 years.

A fabulous chalet in a perfect location

We stayed as two families and the chalet was ideal. It was well equipped and the information given by the owners was spot on. We would not hesitate to stay in Oz en Oisans or this chalet again in the future.

Family getaway

Chalet accommodated our party of 10 perfectly. Bedrooms being split over 3 levels really helped. Chalet perfect for access to Oz resort. Can’t recommend this chalet enough.

Great chalet, good resort

This must be our third stay at this chalet. It is compact and at the bottom of a few steep steps but it is cosy and great value for money. Very easy hosts to deal with and all very relaxed. Chalet is directly below a drag lift that takes you to the Poutran lift into the Alpe d’Huez bowl. Oz is small so not many ch apres ski but we like it!!

Aangename, gezellige chalet met kachel. Goede zetels en bedden. Wel kleine badkamer maar wel een goede douche met steeds warm water. Gezellig terrasje.

Le chalet est idéalement situé pour aller skier avec un tire fesses un peu plus haut. Le chalet est plus grand que les photos le laissepenser, bien équipé et confortable. Le village est calme mais on y trouve les petits commerces nécessaires et quelques restau sympa.

TrÚs bon séjour chalet cosy

Une semaine au ski en famille a 8 personnes grand mÚre comprise !Chalet trÚs sympa trÚs bien équipé raclette jeu de société Netflix cheminée avec beaucoup de bois tout pour réussir un séjour au ski . La literie est bonne il y a de l espace . C est bien conçu. On a passé de trÚs bon moment. Merci aussi pour la communication avec Sandrine qui gÚre les entrées sorties.

Excellent séjour dans ce chalet de OZ. TrÚs confortable et assez bien équipé. la proximité des pistes est intéressante ( 50m du tire-fesses) mais l'accÚs par un escalier avec son matériel de ski est assez physique.

Belle découverte !

Longtemps habitués à d'autres stations, nous avons découvert Oz et nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! Il faut dire que nous étions dans les meilleures conditions : - Ruairi le propriétaire nous avait donné toutes les bonnes informations -Sandrine nous a accueilli chaleureusement et a pu répondre à nos questions, nous donner de bons conseils - Le chalet est trÚs fonctionnel, bien équipé et surtout au pied des pistes. Quel joie de laisser la voiture au parking ! - La station est familiale, on y trouve tout ce qu'il faut. Bref nous sommes ravis de notre séjour et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir :-)

Beau chalet bien situé

Beau chalet trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ© et bien situĂ© dans le bas de la station. TrĂšs pratique pour partir en ballade Ă  partir du logement et promener les chiens. 2 terrasses agrĂ©ables avec de belles vues. L' accĂšs par un long escalier en fer est rĂ©servĂ© aux personnes en bonne forme physique pour descendre les bagages. Le 1er Ă©tage est trĂšs agrĂ©able et ensoleillĂ©, le coin nuit et le coin sanitaires au rez de chaussĂ©e est plus sombre et froid. En rĂ©sumĂ©, une belle location pratique et fonctionnelle, qui mĂ©riterait peut ĂȘtre un petit rafraĂźchissement.

Une belle semaine de randonnées

Chalet trĂšs bien situĂ© et super agrĂ©able avec une cuisine trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©e. Rien ne manque. Le seul effort qui reste Ă  faire est de changer les matelas qui sont bien trop mous. Le site d’Oz est magnifique et offre de superbes randonnĂ©es. Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© notre sĂ©jour et nous remercions Sabine pour son accueil et ses conseils.

gemĂŒtlich und paktisch

gut gelegen, auch bei schlechter Schneelage war der Verbindungslift in Betrieb, allerdings muss zur Straße eine steiel Treppe bewĂ€ltigt werden. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, insbesondere auch die KĂŒche mit mehreren Personen gut zu nutzen.

Hi. We live in Dublin and have 3 children. We've really enjoyed our ski chalet in Oz for more than 10 years. In particular, we've enjoyed getting to know some of the friendly locals, exploring some of the off piste routes around Alpe d'Huez, and of course seeing the kids progress from the carpet to reds and blacks.

Why they chose this property

We love Oz for the following reasons: Great links to fantastic Alpe d'Huex ski area. Safe, family friendly resort for the kids. Chalet location is right beside the slopes. No need for buses or long walk to the lift. Chalet is big enough for 2 families. We enjoy bringing our friends. Friendly locals from bar staff, ski instructors to ski hire staff. Some are now good friends who we look forward to meeting year after year. Lift queues are a rarity in Oz. 2 gondolas provide rapid access to the high mountains.

What makes this property unique

The Chalet is just 50m from the ski lifts with stairs direct from the chalet door to the piste. It is also right beside the Moontain Hotel and a short walk to the village for Apres ski. There is also a public swimming pool in the Crystal hotel. The chalet is completely detached providing a private space for you and your family, providing an additional layer of security and reassurance during your stay.
