2 BR in a beautiful resort, super clean, great beach, Sleeps 6

This unit is in the Worldmark timeshare resort and is managed by Wyndham, ranked #3 hotel group in the USA (after Hilton and Marriott). Wyndham goes above and beyond industry standards to please us, Worldmark owners, so we would extend their managing contract every year. This resort in Kihei has 200 units that were just remodeled a few months ago and the cleaning and maintenance team keeps them in a perfect shape. I've been fortunate to accumulate a lot of Worldmark vacation points but don't have time to use them all. As my guests you will have all rights and privileges of regular owners. If something breaks or you run out of kitchen and bathroom necessities, simply call the front desk and they will take care of everything right away. The resort is located just across the street from a great beach, Kamaole 1, very calm and kids friendly. Resort also offers a nice outdoor pool, hot tub, a children's pool, barbecue grilling areas as well as fitness and recreational centers. No smoking inside the unit, no pets allowed, must be 21 or older to book. At check-in the resort will ask for a credit or debit card damage hold, fully refundable. Resort staff may offer you to attend a 90 minute presentation about the timeshare. Totally up to you, just say No if you don't want to.
Units are assigned the morning of check-in and you will be assigned the best available unit on the day you arrive. Pictures you see here are provided by the resort and represent a typical unit. All units were remodeled at the same time, all are air conditioned, have similar size and layout, and same appliances, furniture, and supplies.
For your convenience, you will find a starter supply of spices, tea, coffee, creamer, sugar, paper towels, tissues, toilet paper and laundry soap.

Tim was great to deal with. Almost immediate answers to our questions and the room was perfect for us. 10 year old twins had the second bedroom with twin beds and our 16 year old had the Murphy bed. This was nice as he usually gets the sofa bed and we end up losing the living room. The master bedroom was great with a king bed and bathroom of our own. The kitchen was well stocked for plates/utensils/pots/pans/detergent/coffee/sugar etc but there is nothing like oil or condiments for cooking with. The location is what can’t be beat! Right across the road from Charley Young beach and Kamaole I, even being at the back of the resort it was maybe a 10 minute walk down to the beach. The pool is nice with extra activities like ping pong, cornhole, connect 4 etc. while we liked the beach, we did use the pool a couple times and the hot tub was nice in the evening. We used the BBQ’s quite a few nights and never had to wait. We would definitely stay with Tim and this resort again if we ever come back, it was awesome!

We were very disappointed in the property. The unit we were assigned had mold in the showers, nearly broken shower handle, and a strong smell of smoke and mildew. The rooms and balcony fronted a dirt pit behind the property. The front desk and owner offered to move us to a different unit, which we looked at, but it was not significantly better quality, and we ultimately moved to other lodging.

I am really sorry you were disappointed. You booked last minute and this unit was the only one available for the first night. Normally resort does not assign this unit as it is due for renovations. The second unit offered next day was just fine, but you decided to move to a more expensive accommodations.

There were little things that needed attention (bathroom door did not lock, caulking in shower needed replacing, paint needed in some areas were the drywall was patched, lights on stairway were out) but overall the place had everything we needed. The wifi was out for over 24 hours and when i called the front desk they gave me the number of the third party they used to trouble shoot... I was disappointed with the lack of attention the staff gave.. why was I having to make the call when it was their responsibility? overall, we would stay there again.

Situated at one one of the best beaches on Maui. Close to all amenities, rentals and restaurants you will need. Suites are very good, but starting to get dated ( faucets, kitchen cabinets need updated or repaired)

We loved the location across from Kamahole 1. Could easily go between the condo and beach, and had a view of the ocean from the unit. Food and shave ice trucks right outside in the evening, ABC store across the street and multiple beach equipment rental locations within a short walk. Ideal location for family time at the beach.

Family vacation from Las Vegas...

The resort itself is just few walking distance to the beach, ABC store and some restaurants. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel which was spacious, complete kitchenette, shower is strong, with hot and cold and AC is great! Just need some carpet cleaning and update the interior designs. Other than that, the resort is highly recommended. Thank you.

Beautiful resort, ideal location!

We very much enjoyed our two weeks here! The resort was beautiful with a fantastic pool area, the suites were spacious and provided everything we needed. Having air conditioning in each room was a huge bonus as was in suite washer/dryer. Kamaole I beach is amazing and just a short walk - right across the street. Watch the sunset there or from the balcony! There are neat shops and good restaurants and bakeries within a few blocks. Would definitely stay again!

Great location and good for family trip

This was a great layout for myself and my parents since we had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. Kihei is quiet and the beaches are stunning. This complex is across the street from a relatively quiet beach without crowds. Great location if you have a rental car. We mainly spent our time in Maui in the Haleakala National Park, which is pretty far from Kihei (and Lahaina and other tourist areas on the west side of Maui). If the national park is the focus of your trip, it may be more convenient to find lodging in Upcountry Maui or Paia. The units themselves are pretty dated and the furniture etc. is likely 20+ years old. The cleaning could have been more thorough - the showers etc. had leftover dirt in them when we arrived. We had a first floor unit and thus had a bug problem (ants and cockroaches). That said, Maui lodging is pricey especially during the holiday season -- and this was a good value for a 2 bed/2 bath unit.

Mid-range timeshare complex

This unit is located in a timeshare complex, so they assign the actual unit on the morning you arrive…it could be in any of the 9 buildings, on any floor, facing any direction (parking lot, another building, or amazing view if the ocean). We got put in the farthest building with a view of another building and parking area. We inquired if there were other options available, and they told us they would have a unit with a beautiful view available in a couple days, so we paid an extra housekeeping fee and moved to the nicer unit for the last part of our stay. This complex is a bit older, but was nice enough for our needs. I would stay here again.

Quick and easy access to the beach and shops! Yummy food trucks parked daily as well as an amazing shaved ice truck! Only negative, shower in the main bedroom was very small. Overall the place was clean and spacious!

Loved staying here perfect location and just a short walk to the beach! Convenient to Restaurants and shopping! Food trucks along the street were there every afternoon and evening! The only thing was the pool reservations and WiFi was very slow! The front desk clerks were very helpful with everything we needed and had great recommendations for restaurants!!

Very nice property in a great location. The place was very clean but if you have allergies to scents I would ask them ahead of time not to use the carpet freshener. It was a bit overbearing. Other than that it was a good experience.
