We had a perfect stay in this beautiful, very clean and well equipped cottage. It is located in a very nice, calm and peaceful surrounding but still close to many historic houses, gardens and towns.If you are looking for a cosy and comfortable rural retreat, this is the perfect place to stay!Thanks, Judy, for the warm welcome and nice conversations!

Stayed for a weekend at the end of May 2026 and it couldn't have been nicer.  Complete peace and tranquility. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, set in the grounds of a farmhouse estate. It's spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated to a very high standard. Our host Judy and her son were warm and friendly and made us feel at home. Location is private but still close enough to several lovely pubs etc.  Highly recommended - we'd love to come back!

Beautiful cottage, really nice location, everything you could hope for, especially the bed it was really comfortable, topped off with beautiful linen. Judy and John were excellent hosts, they took very good care of all our needs. They made our Labradoodle Arthur very welcome and he loved having his own paddock to run around in!!A great place to relax and enjoy the rural countryside.

This was my second stay at this VRBO - obviously I liked it because I chose to return. The cottage is well appointed. It truly is in a beautiful, quiet, pastoral location, convenient for a variety of day trips, local walks, and excellent pubs. John and Judy are gracious and helpful hosts.

Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings

We had a great stay at the cottage. The location is beautiful, the cottage very comfortable, and we had a wonderful nights sleep in the very comfy bed! Also highly recommend the Cholmondely Arms for supper not too far away. Thanks Judy!

Lovely cottage and setting

We loved the cottage and had a lovely, relaxing weekend staying there ; it was very cosy and very nicely decorated. The outlook over countryside was beautiful. Some lovely touches including croissants and jam on arrival! We would stay here again.

Nice property, genial host who provided a welcome pack so had essentials prior to finding shops. Info on local pubs/restaurants useful when eating out. Would recommend.

A relaxing country break

We had a lovely couple of days in the cottage over New Year – the area's very pretty, local pubs are great and the cottage is warm, comfy and cosy. The enclosed paddock is great if you're visiting with a dog – our pup loved racing around and exploring off the lead. Recommended!

Fantastic, peaceful, very restful

This is a lovely cottage a long way from the sound of traffic. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and our hosts made sure we were well topped up with logs for the stove. There is a large fenced field for dogs, our two loved it. Overall highly recommended, idyllic comes to mind.

Well! We had the best time at Judy's place. We could have stayed much longer! The cottage is so beautiful and cosy. Perfectly clean and the bedding was so luxurious! The grounds are so peaceful and lovely. We had everything we needed and more (thank you so much for the provisios!). The Cholmondeley Arms was an amazing pub - amazing food and great service. As was the Pheasant Pub. And we had some really lovely walks nearby. Judy was the perfect host, making sure everything was nice for us. We'll be back for sure Oh and the dogs didn't want to leave either! Thank you so much

Great place to relax and unwind in amazing location, very clean and equipped with pretty much everything you would need. Great little cottage

We really enjoyed our stay. Judy made us feel very welcome on arrival. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The welcome package was a lovely touch as it meant we had breakfast sorted for the weekend. The enclosed paddock to let our dog in was great and he enjoyed running through the grass! The tennis was an added bonus and the court was well maintained. We would love to return again.
