De Zeemeermin is a very peaceful house built on an area of sand dunes that is designated as an area of natural beauty. The house has many unique features including an open fire and exposed brick work, it is not however a house full of mod cons, without even a television this is a house to kick back and relax, swim walk on the beach, make use of all the bicycle paths explore the historic towns of Middleburg and Zierikzee.

Unique for the Netherlands

This summer house in the dunes of Westerschouwen is unbelievable and is situated just near the sea. We had a lot of beautiful weeks here!!!

On the whole a very successful stay at Zeemeermin with many possibilities for children and grownups to play games inside and outside in the extensive garden and for the adults to enjoy the sunshine and chat or read in the large living-room upstairs. 1 disadvantage: it's not easy to open and close some windows anymore. End conclusion: almost like a paradise. When we left, I felt obliged to look back and say goodbye to the house and beautiful surroundings.

Wir waren im Winter in dem Haus. Ließ sich ideal heizen.Wir waren mit drei Familien dort und jede Familie konnte einen Bereich des Hauses für sich nutzen mit eigenem Badezimmer.Für gehbehinderte Personen nicht geeignet, weil lange Treppe zum Haus und sehr lange Treppe zum Strand.Ein Haus mit Charme und für Freunde der Architektur ein Juwel. Manches könnte modernisiert werden, aber die Lage des Hauses und die Anmutung des Hauses entschädigen. Im Sommer bietet der großzügige Garten tolle Möglichkeiten zu relaxen, zu spielen und sich zu erholen.

Direkte Strandnähe. Sehr familienfreundlich mit einer Vielzahl an Spielzeug und Brettspielen. Man muss halt bedenken, dass das Haus sehr alt ist.

Even tot rust komen. Heerlijke woning

Wat een heerlijk en fijn huis in een mooie omgeving. Zijn heerlijk tot rust gekomen en hebben heerlijk geslapen. Genoten van de grote tuin. De warmte van de kachel en gezellig ingerichte woonkamer. Wij gaan dit huis zeker onthouden voor een eventueel volgende keer. Wat ook erg prettig was dat het zo compleet is en vele dingen aanwezig waren. Boekjes, spelletjes. Speelgoed voor kinderen. Het enige minpuntje wat ik kan bedenken is de koelkast is wat klein voor 12 personen. Maar daar is de pret zeker niet minder om.Eigenaresse reageert snel op vragen en is heel vriendelijk. Prachtige locatie, midden in de duinen, vlakbij het strand en leuke eet en drinkgelegenheden. Ook vlakbij locatie waar activiteiten georganiseerd worden. Huisje heeft gezellige jaren 70 stijl en charme!

Prachtige lokatie en ruim huis

Fijn verblijf. Minpuntjes waren een defect toilet en slecht functionerende WIFI. Het modem hing in de meterkast en dat lijkt mij niet de meest geschikte plaats

Perfekter Groß-Familienurlaub

Das Haus liegt perfekt in den Dünen, Meer fußläufig erreichbar. Ruhige Lage, grosser Garten für die Kinder. Mehrere Restaurants, Pommes und Softeis um die Ecke! Schöne Raumaufteilung im Haus, Zimmer und Betten klein.Gute Kommunikation mit Vermieterin!

Urlaub in den Dünen

Die Lage direkt hinter der Düne isr sensationell. Es grenzt ein Naturschutzgebiet an die Siedlung. Man kann dort durch einen Wald und über die Dünen an den Strand laufen oder mit dem Fahrrad fahren. Das Haus war sauber und es war alles da, was man braucht (außer scharfe Messer). Es besteht ein Renovierungsstau. Einige Räume sind etwas feucht und muffelig. Der Balkonboden im Obergeschoss bröckelt und ein Anstrich ist notwendig. Die Schlafzimmer sind teilweise etwas klein. Sonst aber alles fein, gute Duschen und Betten, großer Gasherd und großer Esstisch für drinnen und draußen. Es war dazu noch wunderbares Wetter, wir waren begeister. Wegen der beschriebenen kleineren Mängel etwas teuer. Sonst alles fein. Gute Duschen,

Lage traumhaft, Haus freucht und muffig

Die Lage ist traumhaft. Allerdings ist das Haus aus den 60er Jahren. Eine grundlegende Sanierung hat nicht stattgefunden. Teile des Hauses sind feucht und muffig. Für Allergiker nicht zu empfehlen! So kann das zauberhafte Potential des Hauses nicht ausgeschöpft werden. Sehr schade, da die Aufteilung mit drei Bädern und jeweiligen Schlafzimmern dazu sehr praktisch ist. Für diesen Preis haben wir etwas anderes erwartet.

Schön, mit Abstrichen

Das Haus hat Charme! Allerdings war es nicht gut gereinigt und es wird nicht gut in Stand gehalten (teilweise lassen sich Fenster nicht öffnen, weil sie morsch sind, Türen ebenso). Das Geschirr, Besteck, Küchengeräte und Töpfe sind vielzählig vorhandenen aber leider ebenfalls nicht sauber. Die Nähe zum Meer ist großartig. Auch die Rehe im Garten waren bezaubernd.

Sehr charmantes Haus mit tollem Grundstück in direkter Küstennähe

Sehr schön renoviert und dabei den Charme des Baujahres erhalten - ein wirklich tolles Haus mit viel Platz, Bädern, viel Kinderspielzeug und einem schönen Außenkamin.

Super Lage, leicht retro

Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Da muss ich den restlichen Bewertungen zustimmen. Man braucht 2 Minuten zum Strand. Essensmöglichkeiten sind in füßläufiger Entfernung sehr gut zu erreichen. Kleiner Laden mit Essen, Trinken und für Urlaubsutensilien ist in der Nähe. Ein toller Park ist direkt nebenan. Die Unterkunft ist für 3 Elternpaare plus jeweils 2 Kinder perfekt. Jede Partei hat ein eigenes Bad. Die Küche ist schön groß und neu. Ansonsten ist das Haus schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, wenngleich einige Dinge bereits renoviert worden sind. Der grose Garten ist perfekt für Familien mit Kindern.

Het huis is prachtig gelegen; uit de achtertuin zo de duinen in en het strand op. De keuken is zeer goed geequipeerd en van alles voorzien. Prima slaapkamers en badkamers. Woonkamer enigzins gedateerd maar met karakter

Heerlijk vakantiehuis

Een prachtig, wat ouderwets vakantiehuis. Ruim van binnen met een zeer grote tuin eromheen overlopend in de hoogste duin met direct toegang tot het strand. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is passend, maar er zijn wel een paar kleine gebreken.

Emplacement parfait, maison parfaite pour plusieurs familles

Nous vivons déjà aux Pays-Bas, òu il est difficile voir impossible de trouver de l'intimité sur la côte...... mais Miracle cette maison le permet! Le très grand jardin ( immense pour les Pays-Bas) qui entoure la maison vous donne même l'impression d'être seul au monde. c'est magnifique de pouvoir passer du jardin à la dune , puis à la plage . La proximité de la petite épicerie et des 3 ou 4 restaurants vous permet de vivre sans jamais prendre la voiture. La maison très conviviale permet des moment tous ensemble comme des espaces séparés pour que chaque generation se retrouve. Cerise sur le gâteau le temps lors de notre séjour était exceptionnel ( ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas aux Pays-Bas :) ) et nous avons même pu observer le phénomène de bioluminescence sur la mer un soir ( ce qui arrive une fois pars an!)

De Zeemeermin in Westenschouwen

Ons gezin van 7 volwassenen en twee kinderen hadden een fantastische vakantie in de Zeemeermin. Het huis is zeer praktisch ingericht met goed gelegen, aparte slaapkamers en badkamers. De keuken is volledig uitgerust, meer dan voldoende bestek en servies. In de zitkamer is het aangenaam vertoeven en de eetkamer is ruim en praktisch ingericht. Het domein, ideaal voor kinderen, ligt ver van alle drukte en straalt rust en vakantie uit. BBQ, buitentafel en -stoelen werden veel gebruikt. We hebben zelfs bezoek gehad van twee hertjes ! Veel strand-, wandel- en fietsplezier in de directe omgeving. Marcel en familie

Ideal für große Familien

Wir waren mit unserer zehnköpfigen Familie dort. Zehn Personen sind perfekt für dieses Haus: Drei Schlafbereiche mit mehreren Räumen, drei Badezimmer mit drei Toiletten. Schöne Küche. Verschiedene Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Drinnen ein großer Tisch, draußen ein großer Tisch. Man hört das Meer und den Wind. - Mit zwölf Personen könnte es allerdings ein wenig eng werden.

Beautiful and peaceful house and garden, we had a marvellous holiday

The house is beautiful and has a very intelligent architecture. Very well equiped. Big garden with a lot of animal and plant life. Very clean on arrival and very good communication with the owner, no problems, wonderful holiday.
