Lovely villa and a great holidayA tiny bit tired here and there but well equipped The Villa is quite out of the way and it is an extremely steep to get up or down from itIf you have very young children or monility issues you will certainly need cabs - which are cheap and easy to get The host was excellent and helped by booking transfers and a very good boat trip
This villa is in an amazing location with spectacular views over Kalkan. The villa is very high up and you will need to get taxis to town and to the beach but these are only 300tl and so easy. Lots of lovely restaurants in kalkan and Cengiz was quick to sort anyIssues. He is very friendly.
We had a fantastic stay. Villa Blue Horizon was great and in particular the pool and outside area was excellent. There were a few small things that needed attending to during our stay but Cengiz was very responsive and sorted them out quickly
This vacation was a blast. Every room had its own bathroom. Plenty of space for a big family. Private infinity pool. Gorgeous views of the Mediterranean. Couldn't have enough of it. First property I'll reserve for my next vacation in Turkey.
Overall a beautiful villa with stunning views. Close to local shops. Pool was great for kids. Host was very helpful and always responded to queries or requests. Only downside is that showers need more pressure. Would recommend to families or large groups as would comfortably accommodate 10 people.
Everything as described. Beautiful location with stunning views. We were a family of 6, had we been a family of 10 the villa would have still provided plenty of space.Getting taxis’s to and from the old town/harbour so easy so don’t let the distance put you off. We walked into the town without any issues but if mobility is an issue would recommend a taxi both ways. We arranged for shopping to be delivered to our villa and it was here waiting for us. Already looking for next year.
Perfect property for a family holiday. Little bit out of town but taxis are easy and cheap so not really a problem. Might be a problem for the less able as steep. There is a small shop near by but you need transport or taxi to get to a super market again not really a problem. The views are amazing especially at sunset. Well worth the money.
Everything was great, and just as described, both on the property website and in the reviews.Cengiz was on hand when needed (in our case only on arrival and departure), and happily organised both the starter pack and the airport taxis. As other reviewers have said, you really do need a taxi for the ascent out of town. And even the steep walk down might be a strain for some. But taxis are easily summoned. The price, in either direction, is 250 TL, not the various figures I've seen elsewhere.
Blue Horizon Villa is amazing, exactly as shown in the pictures on the website show.We loved the layout, the rooms are great and really functional, loved the games room too!Pool and views are great too.We loved Kalkan, great restaurants and shops, and things to do - people really friendly. The walk to town is downhill, the hill is quite steep, and you do need to get a cab back - but there is a huge cab rank at the start of town - and only costs about 4Cegniz was a good host, very easy to contact, and even dropped us at the supermaket when we arrived.Would definitely recommend!
The villa is set in a stunning location overlooking Kalkan. The villa itself is in need of some TLC, and is sold as a luxury property. The pool area is fantastic, unfortunately the amenities are in desperate need of an upgrade. All of the the showers suffer from a lack of maintenance, limescale causing major issues. I had to ask for the shower to be replaced in the top floor suite, which Chegiz did immediately. The fitted fridge at the property was also not working, and a replacement fridge was freestanding in the kitchen. Again, I requested the main fridge be repaired which was dealt with promptly, but unsuccessful, twice, and the replacement fridge was malfunctioning and freezing the food within, which of course meant it was inedible, so for the duration of the two weeks any we effectively had only one fridge which was excellent at providing very cold/slush drinks, but not for storing any food. The last complaint was there was not enough water in the storage tank to provide us with showers. The feed was intermittent, so there was no water at all on many occasions. There were only 3 bedrooms in use for our family of four, so goodness knows how 10 people using 5 bedrooms would be serviced. The rear of the provided Iron was hanging off exposing electrical cables, this was exchanged promptly again, for another iron with the back hanging off.Chengiz was very amenable and tried to sort things out, and always quickly, but the end result was not a Luxury Villa holiday.

Great Pool!
Nice villa in great location with stunning views across the bay from the outside terrace and pool. Great villa for our family of 5. Lots of space, clean and well maintained. Nicely furnished and decorated it was a comfortable home from home. Our teenagers really liked their bedrooms. Really large infinity pool and spacious outdoor terrace area which had a good balance of shaded and non shaded areas. Outdoor furniture could do with an update as some of the sun beds weren’t really useable, the side tables were a bit unsteady and the free standing umbrellas could be a little temperamental on occasion and the Outdoor shower also needs fixing properly but it didn’t spoil things for us. The games and fitness area in the garage could and should be utilised more as a selling point for the villa like they are in other properties. Unfortunately the exercise equipment was quite dated and whilst the games tables were fine it felt like things had just been shoved in there and no additional thought given. It was not really well kept as an area and was really used more for storing extra water and old furniture than an additional space which provided entertainment away from the heat of the day. A missed opportunity.
We’ve stayed in Kalkan villas a few times and this is a lovely villa in a good location. Walk into town downhill in 20 minutes with taxis back costing a mere 20tl. Restaurants, bars, shops and general area of Kalkan never fail to deliver a great holiday experience.
If we were being very picky, some sort of welcome book for the villa would be very useful. Owner contact numbers, WiFi codes, alarm information or information about drinking water charges at a basic level would have sufficed. We also requested a food and drink welcome pack which wasn’t there when we arrived at 11.30pm, which meant we had nothing to eat or drink available except water. It did arrive the next day but not till lunchtime by which point we’d already had to get up early and go to the shops. An unfortunate mix up in communication.
Cengiz, the villa owner, and Fiona (his English friend who helps him manage the guest communication in the UK) were both helpful. Cengiz does live locally and manages the villa himself. So When requests were made for things or something needed fixing he was quick to respond. We were unable to get a late checkout as the villa was booked but Cengiz kindly gave us a lift with all our cases to the Elixir Hotel where we spent our last day.

Thank you Harriet. The things you mention that are needing attention will definitely be sorted. There will be information packs for next season. Apologies again for the lack of the food pack on arrival. It was an error due to an unfortunate combination of events and we are very sorry but glad between the UK and Turkey we could get on it! Best wishes.
