We came as a family of 10 (Parents, daughters and partners plus the grandchildren) and the accommodation was fantastic, kitchen was well equipped and the pool oh the pool, the grandchildren spent 3/4 of their holiday in it. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property for a relaxing and quiet holiday. The owners were great and responded quickly to any queries we had and the information booklet was first class and easy to understand. All in all a first class holiday.I gave the property a GOOD in the review, it would have been an EXCELLENT if the interior had been cooler (bearing in mind the weather was exceptionally hot so maybe I'm nit picking!). The Taylor family.

It is a very well appointed property, ideal for a family reunion with plenty to occupy and entertain a group ranging in age from five and eight to mid seventies. The pool was much enjoyed by all, as were the table tennis and pool tables, boules and the board games. The countryside roundabout is most attractive and markets and supermarkets are easily accessible. The information provided by the owners was extensive, clear and helpful.

The farmhouse and cottage were perfect for accommodating our group of 11 people comfortably. The house was clean, spacious and nicely furnished with excellent cookware available to use. The pool is a perfect size and temperature for relaxing and playing. The games barn was enjoyed by the teenagers in our group. The Farmhouse is situated in a very small, quiet village but there are small towns a ten minute drive in either direction with large supermarkets, restaurants etc. I would definitely recommend it for groups looking for a peaceful, fun holiday.

Excellent family space

Spacious, well equipped, great quality items of kitchenware and tastefully decorated. Excellent pool, consistently warm and clean. And having the extra cottage for family who need their own space was ideal. Albeit the only thing which is unavoidable in the countryside is the ants and spiders. This is a small price to pay for rural idyll..

Lovely property in quiet area of France

Three generations of our family came together for a week in this spacious property in Melleran. Lots of room and the sleeping arrangements worked out great with one family in the separate cottage. Swimming pool was a hit and safely fenced in. Missing a cover so we had to use the net to take out the bugs. This was not a problem and did not detract from our enjoyment of the pool and sun loungers. The barn had a ping pong table which we had fun with when it rained. Plenty of toys and books for the kids. We loved it.

Family holiday

The house is a beautiful, Charentaise conversion with shuttered windows, a lawned garden and fenced salt water pool. The main house has 4 bedrooms, each with its own colour and theme. The cottage has two further bedrooms, sleeping 12 in total, with room for an infant. There is a large open plan kitchen/ diner/ lounge. There’s also a large table under a canopy roof outside that is great for alfresco eating. We really enjoyed the lovely pool area with its chairs and loungers. Our : year old grand daughter enjoyed it the most I think! Melleran is a lovely little village with a bakery that you can order your bread, croissants and pain au chocolat from, just a 10 minute walk away. There are lots of things to see and do in the surrounding area but we chose to stay at the house and make the most of the pool. We particularly liked sitting out in the evenings listening to the barn owl in the barn adjoining the house, hissing and calling and waiting for the bats to appear. The house can seem rather noisy with the wooden floors that squeak when you walk on them but you get used to it. You can hear everything going on upstairs! Overall we’ve had a great time and would stay again.

Lovely house with lots of facilities for adults and children (even though ours are grown up now). Great having a pool close by and the cottage was very good as well. The village location was great and only 10 minutes from good cafes and supermarkets. Would definitely visit again if we choose that area.

Retrouvailles familiales
