Great views, location, sunrise. Our group of five was very comfortable. Loved the decor and the exterior collection of retro oddities. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The place was great, Cary was incredibly accommodating and super responsive. The place has an amazing charm to it, and is a perfect spot for anyone looking to visit Joshua Tree and stay somewhere with some outside space.
Clean and Quirky, Minutes from the Park… and the VIEWS!!!
We choose this location because it’s basically like staying inside the Park. Incredible views, private, quiet, this was exactly what we needed. The fact that everything was clean and Cary was attentive and responsive, was gravy to us
This is an amazing property, beautifully decorated with so many lovely details. We had a big group of all ages and everyone was comfortable and had a great time. Property manager is SO helpful and very responsive to communication.
This is a really cool and unique place located just outside the National Park. My kids loved playing outside and enjoying a fire in the fire pit. It is well stocked with supplies, and the communication with the owner was easy. Wonderful holiday at the Atomic Ranch.
Cary the owner was very responsive and helpful with any request. We had two days of rain and water where leaking through the roof (Cary is going to fix that). We had circuit breaker going off. Some of the heaters and utensils was very old but Cary bought us a new ones. Neighborhood was great with some walks next to the house and nice vegetation next to the house.
Big place and comfortable. If you are older this is more of a 10 person house than 15.
The decor is eclectic, and Carey is a pleasure. We will probably book one of his other properties in the near future.
The property was very cool and was described well in the listing. We loved all the old appliances and overall vintage theming. It felt like a time warp. The grounds were beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay. Communication with the owner was great, he’s very responsive. We’d love to return one day!
Everything was great. Loved the Atomic 1950s theme. Very quiet and peaceful. Fascinating vintage automobiles and travel trailers on the premises. Minutes to JTNP. Hope to revisit soon!
Really, really enjoyed our stay. It was quirky, well equipped, super convenient yet felt suitably private, quiet and not too remote.
We had a great hike in the National Park, enjoyed some visits to the town but in the end chose to spend a lot of time hanging out at the property, relaxing and just soaking up the cool vibes.
Naturally it’s the desert, so was hot and dusty during the day and cooold and clear at night… but that’s exactly what we went for. Those stars!
One of our favorite properties so far in JT (though they have all been great, in their own quirky ways)
Great location for west entrance of Joshua Tree NP
Quirky, eclectic comfortable. Quite adequate home and nice views. Away from the main road, so secluded from park traffic. But, be aware it is on dirt roads that have some ruts from all the rains. So, make sure you don’t bring a “lowrider.” We experienced near hurricane force winds, plus snow, and a power failure, but the house held up to it and we were comfortable. There are a few maintenance issues that need attention, but this is a harsh environment and we get similar issues at hotels. Overall, we had a great time!
We absolutely loved this place. Such a unique theme with the 1950s and nuclear aesthetic. So many cool antiques and 1950s furniture. Even had a cassette player along with cassettes from the 1950s that you could play. So much thought was put into this place, and it was very clean and functional. 4 of us stayed here for 2 nights, and it was great having two bathrooms (each with a shower) and each of us having our own bedroom. Only minor issue was with the toilet constantly running when we arrived, but Cary helped us quickly come to a workable solution. Also there was a hidden 60 additional fee for insurance that we weren’t aware of from the start. But overall would highly recommend!

Decevant
The house and grounds are very unique and fun. Everything was well stocked and clean. Location is awesome, as just 5 minutes to the park.
We all enjoyed our stay.
The Atomic Ranch is as much an art installation as it is a cool, funky place to stay. There is a ton of room and the night sky is amazing. We stayed during a cold spell and had some trouble with the old electric space heaters that provide heat but overall loved our stay. Can't wait to come back when the weather is a little warmer and we can use the fantastic backyard and fire pits.
Spectacular Property in a great Location - Joshua Tree Just Outside the Park
The Property was everything we were expecting. We only had 4 adults but, could have easily slept 10. Not only is the property unique, eclectic and a lot of fun, the relative isolation for a family get-away, while being close to town & JT Park, makes it ideal. We highly recommend The Atomic Trailer Ranch!
I knew when I booked the Atomic Ranch Artist Retreat that it would be special. The house was roomy with everything we needed. Space heaters worked perfectly and the beds were very comfortable. The grounds were so peaceful and beautiful. A short drive to the park and town and yet so quiet. The owner is super responsive which is so important. We will stay here again.
We had our Family Christmas get together at the atomic trailer ranch. This property was what it shows in photos and more just have to be there, plenty of room for everyone, very comfortable beds, has everything you need,. Getting a hold of property Manager was easy, so helpful. It gets cold this time of year, but the space heater in each bed helped warm up the rooms, the Wood-burning stove kept the whole place warm. We had a extremely great time, we all want to come back.
Love it so much, It was Atomic
A great place to stay so close to Joshua Tree National Park.
We went for the weekend with our 4 kids age range 8-13. They had a great time and loved the property. Its location is ideal to the west gate of Joshua Tree National Park. Very close to needed amenities.
Very close to the Joshua Tree national park and easy to get to the town for groceries. Very unique theme decorations insideout. We love the beautiful desert plant garden day time and amazing starry sky at night. We had some problems with lighting in two rooms, but the owner replied quickly to find alternative lights. Cookwares need some upgrades, but we managed to use whatever available in the kitchen. The BBQ grill is great, and cooked well even in the cold night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the convenience of this location.
I'm a contractor and decretive artist. I have a passion and love for the desert and all it has to offer and I enjoy sharing that with my family and friends. I can help you plan your next vacation to Joshua Tree.
