LAKE House with Private Heated Pool, Great for Family Gatherings. Best View!

Hi, thank you for viewing this amazing home. This is the most relaxing place to be. It’s located in Slidell, LA on Lake Pontchartrain. It’s 5 miles across the Hwy 11 bridge to New Orleans and is less than 30 minutes to the French Quarter, Super Dome, Jazz Fest and Essence Fest. If traveling East, the House is 35 miles to the Casinos along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Enjoy breathtaking sunsets into the lake while sitting poolside or from the upstairs balcony. The porch which wraps around the whole house that will give you shade and a pleasant breeze anytime of the day.

If you love fishing and crabbing, this is the place. Fish and crabs can be caught off the pier without a boat. Fish all day and night. There is a boat launch 1 mile away. Bring your own boat and jet skis. Fishing charters are available through local fishing Captains. As of this posting the boat launch was renting boats.

There is no problem finding a spot to sunbath. The grounds spaciously accommodate outdoor activities like volley ball, football and cabbage baseball. The pool is a saltwater pool.

On the ground floor is 3800 sq. ft. of paved covered area for bar-b-q, parking cars or hanging out.

There are a total of 12 beds which are 5 king beds, 2 queen beds and 5 full beds. The house has four full baths and two ½ baths. The house has a complete kitchen, and a laundry room on each floor with a washer and dryer. We have high-speed wifi.

Towels, linens, soap, hair dryers, iron and ironing board are provided.

This large lot has parking for several cars. This is a great Home for Family Vacations and Getaways.

The house is close to many restaurants, groceries, shopping malls and more.

No Smoking. No Pets, No wild parties. This is a family venue!
Early check-ins are available at $100 per each hour prior to 3:00 p.m.
Late check-outs are free if available.

It is recommended that you purchase a vacation/trip insurance policy if some unforeseen reason you have to cancel. There are many vacation/trip insurance companies that can be found online. It is easy to do. It is required that you make all payments on time. Once a payment is 7 days late, the reservation will be canceled and no refund given.

Great Extended Family Space

Great location. Essentials are available in Slidell, but you can easily access New Orleans. House was perfect for a crowd of over 20 people. There was great crabbing off the pier.

Bachelor Party Weekend

Great scenic location on Lake Pontchartrain, Slidell was a pleasant surprise to us out of towners, would have considered spending more time in town of we didn’t have such a packed weekend. Not too bad of a drive into New Orleans, but if using ride/share car service just know to look ahead at pricing and budget accordingly.Very spacious, great kitchen amenities and a nice pool. Sleeps 22 but do take note there are 12 beds. Bring your own soap to shower but over all very nice place and good experience.

Awesome property. Celebrated a friend's 55th bday. There 15 of us and no one felt like their personal spaces were being invaded. The pool was heated and water felt great in the 70 degree weather. Property is about 25 minutes from New Orleans. Great views with available fishing.

Great place for a large family to stay

We wanted to take the whole family to Jazz Fest. We had a total of 10 adults and 9 grandchildren 12 and under. They all loved the pool and fishing was excellent. Larry the owner was wonderful to work with through the entire process. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Lake House

This property was very nice and spacious. It’s proximity to New Orleans was good and you could walk to a restaurant. The only downside is it is very close to a train track. Also, the pool was cold.

Summer Vacation to New Orleans!

Our family spent the week at this gorgeous home during our Summer Vacation to New Orleans. This was a wonderful stay with plenty of room and many amenities! We spent many hours at the pool and enjoying the views on the deck of this lakefront house! We also enjoyed the nearby restaurants (GilliGil's Island and The Blue Crab Restaurant and Oyster Bar). This was a fantastic way to relax on the lake and be close to New Orleans. Larry was a wonderful host, and we hope to return. Definitely recommend!

We had such a wonderful time at this location. We truly enjoyed all of the amenities, including the heated pool. Words can not describe the view of the sunrise and sunset each morning and evening. So calming. Breathtaking beauty. The property was clean, comfortable and beautiful just as advertised. The property owner/manager was super professional, kind, accommodating, and very responsive. when we travel this week again, it will be the same property if it’s available. Can’t wait to come back .

Great vacation

Went to celebrate a family members milestone birthday. Plenty of room for all of us and the pier was terrific. A/C worked great which was a huge plus in sweltering heat. No hot water first day but owner was quick to respond and it was back up and running on day 2. There were tvs in most of the rooms but couldn't find remote controls. Lots of restaurants and groceries nearby. Very close to train tracks so bring earplugs.

This thing is exactly as described. The house was extremely clean. Overall it did exactly what we asked the house to do. I would have given it a five-star rating overall had the home not needed a few items. Overall, the furniture is quite worn and outdoor accommodations for larger groups. Just simply is not there. Two recliners for 20 people doesn't work. With that being said, that's really my message too. Hopefully the owner if they see this. Spend a little bit of money in the house and certainly not only will you get more rent? You would have return revenue with people like me. I think overall it was a good experience but it could have been great. But even with that said, it's a lot of money and at the end of the day there just wasn't enough seating inside or outside for the size group that the home invites. I would ask you to take a closer look at the size of the couches and seating area for groups of 15 or more. It's certainly a problem with a group 10 or more let alone larger. For anybody that's reading this. I don't want to scare you away from the home, especially of the owner brings in a few more couches and places for people to hang out and have fun.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The Host was very good about responding to any questions or concerns, always responded within 30 minutes or so. The only two things we were not happy about was that every bedroom does not have a TV and, the towels, wash cloths and dish towels have a very heavy sour smell, recommend bringing them with you.
