We had a great stay at this property. We had a few minor issues checking in and the host was very helpful and came over immediately and resolved them. Very welcoming. The property is beautiful and quiet and secluded. Most highly recommended.

Beautiful, peaceful piece of property! Rustic decor with a modern touch!

We came to mourn the loss of our military son. I wanted somewhere peaceful quiet and beautiful! This was just the place. The wrap around patio with rockers to watch the nature around you is just beautiful. The giant fire place inside was beautiful! Loved this place and would highly recommend!

This home is on a GORGEOUS setting and if you like accessibility to the greater NOLA area with a relatively easy drive to town, while enjoying privacy and exploration - this is a good choice. However, the property needs attention and a lot of (relatively easy) things can be done to improve comfort. For example, it advertises Queen beds - they are definitely full size and CLOSE quarters for sharing. The linens need to be replaced. There are also many small repairs - the refrigerator/ freezer did not cool properly during the stay, we had no real hot water showers, the shower door needs sealing, things like that. Also, the sofa bed mattress needs to be replaced - it really was not usable for one adult person to have a comfortable night. Also, providing better linens and more blankets would help a lot as well... it's all the small things. The big thing - some drapes as outside the bedrooms there is light flooding in every available sleeping area. The hosts mean well - it's like a family home that is available for guests but small tweaks will go a LONG long way!! Cannot beat the setting or location and love the pet friendly aspect as well.

We enjoyed the house very much! We were able to check in in the middle of the night with no issues as we were traveling for storm work. Rowland made everything as simple as he could and helped us the entire time with fuel and open stores. The house was beautiful and it was exactly what we needed for this trip

Mardi Gras and Engagement Celebration

We absolutely loved our stay at Stalter Lane Getaway. The property was perfect for our family gathering. The accommodations were also perfect. The house and grounds are gorgeous. Everyone loved the place and had a wonderful time. We apologize for not realizing the ground was so soft and the ruts caused by vehicles that got stuck. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy a lovely, peaceful place just outside of the busy city.

We had a great stay at Stalter Lane Getaway, I would recommend it to anyone.

Just coming up the Lane gave a sense of awe. Quiet location with well manicured landscape. The House was Big and open to welcome in a large group. the sleeping arrangements worked very well for our group, with comfortable beds and plenty of room to move around. The girls enjoyed the whirlpool tub, in very large bathroom. plenty of room for the Chef in the kitchen, most everything we needed. The Big screen TV was good to watch the NBA final game and see the Cavaliers win. kids enjoyed playing a lot of pool on the pool table. Great stay, I would recommend it to anyone.
