Gorgeous view of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range along with the vast San Luis Valley vista to the west when walking.

There are some off limit areas which guests must also respect.
Parking is available for a car; anything larger can be negotiated.
The town of Crestone, replete with art gallery, grocery stores, shops & dining is 1.6 miles away. Continuing right from town, both east & north, will lead you up to two different trailheads that weave up into the singing water of high alpine hiking and all it's other magic awaits you. Heading west out of town will take you back from when you first entered town and out in the San Luis Valley from where you can travel to the Great Sand Dunes National Park along with many other great destinations in all directions.
Welcome to the magnificence of the Colorado and the Rocky Mountains!

Why they chose this property
it is magical.
What makes this property unique
Experience the unique feel of a strawbale house.
It's at the end of a road that borders greenbelt and a wonderful retreat,
like staying in a national park. with a forest & a 'fourteener' right out the windows.
also we have a vigilant neighborhood watch program.
It is not unusual to spot wildlife right outside the windows.
