This cabin was very comfortable and quiet. It had everything I needed, except Tupperware ware, which was easy to find at the local store. I especially liked the back deck where I listened to the birds and watched deer running through the yard.
This is a great charming little property right in the mix of Crestone. Everything was really well-appointed and clean, and we felt extremely welcome and the owner went above and beyond. Would definitely stay again!
Great accommodations and lovely mountain views. House had everything we needed, great outdoor space for our dogs and books and toys for our littles to enjoy! Thank you!
I was beyond impressed with the home we stayed in: magnificent views, clean, and spacious. I couldn’t imagine a better place to spend my honeymoon than this Crestone home. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere was all encompassing. I hope those that come after us, enjoy it just as much we did!
Property is clean, amenities are plentiful. Check-in and check-out are easy. Hostess is fabulous and friendly. Property is beautiful. Mountain views are majestic.
Stayed two nights at the Golden Getaway B to avoid the loud fireworks of Denver and our little dog who stresses. The place was in a great location and was exactly as advertised. The only small issue was that someone just east still shot off about 10 loud fireworks on their property but it was short and over by 10:45. Elaine, the property owner was great to work with!
We had a wonderful and comfortable weekend stay to celebrate our anniversary and visit the sand dunes. The location is excellent, close to all the small shops in Crestone. The place is incredibly clean with everything we needed. We had our 9 month puppy with us for her first overnight and it was wonderful to know dogs were welcomed. The dog bed in the living room was a nice touch!
We will definitely book again!
This was perfect for our needs. SUPER easy check in/out, great location in Crestone - walkable to local food, mountain views, comfy furniture, plenty spacious and well stocked. Only wishes were some back deck furniture because the views and weather were great but nowhere to relax on + a couple updates to kitchen utensils would be nice but that's nit-picky. (We used the tiniest of tongs to cook a big pork tenderloin lol!) Would stay again for sure!!
What a beautiful location to enjoy this less visited part of the Colorado Rockies. The home is well appointed with all necessary amenities. The front porch and deck were lovely to sit on in the evening and watch the resident deer and fawns frolicking on the property with mountain peaks looming above. Less than three miles away was a trailhead to beautiful hiking and access to fourteeners for those peak bagging. Wished we could stay longer!
charming farmhouse feel just footsteps from town center
We were a group in Crestone for teaching retreats at and near the college. We rented both Unit A and Unit B. They make a great pair of 1-bedroom dwellings, next to each other but with utter privacy. The leafy but central location of the units made it simple to deal with our having only one rental car among four people, as we only needed to walk a couple of minutes from the units to explore the little town on foot.
I absolutely fell in love with Colorado and Elaine’s place was 100% what we needed for a getaway! She went absolutely above and beyond to fulfill a very special request and worked with me when some things didn’t go as planned! Even after we move to Colorado we would love to be staying at Elaine’s place anytime we visited the valley ❤️
The views, the house and property, and the host were all just amazing, awesome, and perfect!
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Crestone Golden Avenue Cabins. We rented both cabins for a small birthday celebration and extended getaway. The cabins are well stocked and had good Wifi. In terms of decor, Cabin A is bigger and has a modern decor. Cabin B is smaller (but still a great size for a couple) and has rustic decor. If you have young children there is a pack n' play, highchair, and plastic dinnerware available. The owners were very responsive and nice. They own multiple businesses in the community and can give recommendations about activities, etc.
The highlight of our stay was seeing the local deer each morning and afternoon. The deer mulled around town and you can find small herds of them around the cabins, across the street and in the nearby park. We would definitely recommend these beautiful cabins to anyone that stays in Crestone.
Crestone itself is a breath of fresh air, close to the multiple trailheads and not overly far from the Great Sands Dunes, Colorado Gator Farm, or Zapata Falls. If you are looking for a place to stay that is close to nature and far from the hustle and bustle of Alamosa, definitely checkout these beautiful cabins!
We enjoyed our 2 night stay in Crestone at this cute little property. Check in was super easy and this house is located right in the middle of town. It was a few minute walk to several restaurants, the market and the park. Patio area was nice to watch the stars. The house was clean and exactly as pictured. Would recommend!
Hey!
I have stayed here 3 times and love it every time! Its a quaint, fantastic house, exceptionally clean, very well stocked with dishes and supplies and as cozy as your own house! If you plan on staying in Crestone, look no further than this house!
