About this property

The Bonny Cottage By the Sea

*Not suitable for children under the age of eight*
Welcome! We are delighted that you found your way to our Bonny Cottage. This endearing house is poised high in an area affectionately referred to as Happy Hill, less than a mile to the villages and Moonstone Beach (and a delightful walk if you don’t mind the hill). As one of the original early Cambria cabins, it was built in 1923. Because of the age of the house it is not suitable for children under the age of eight. If you look you will find a sweet antique photograph of the original cabin and the owners on the wall just next to the front door. People speak of Cambria itself as a beloved, almost mythical place, a real-life Brigadoon. And there are as many ways to love Cambria as there are people who love it. There is the ocean, of course, and the picturesque east and west villages with their shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants less. Hearst Castle is ten minutes up the road at the foot of Big Sur and the elephant seals (and occasionally the Hearst Ranch zebras) are along the way. There is always wine tasting, sunset-watching, stargazing… and sometimes just sitting by the fire listening to the waves. This notebook offers some information and a few suggestions, but is in no way complete. We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay, that you remember it fondly and that you find your way back to us again one #0000548
